Leota Erdahl, daughter of Ben Dougherty and Ollie May (Lee) Dougherty, was death by her parents, four sisters, Dortha Phillips, Helen Davis, Hazel Erdahl and Verlon Dougherty; and four brothers, Bob, Clarence, Delbert and Asbery Dougherty.
She is survived by one brother and wife, Howard and Juanita Dougherty, Ava; special friend, Waneta Blackman; special niece and caretaker, Diana Bingham, Ava; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Leota will be Thursday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Paul Welch and Raymond Haden officiating. Cemetery. Visitation was 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association or Happy Home Church.
George Lee Taylor, 74

George Lee Taylor was death by his parents and one brother, Jimmie Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a farmer and enjoyed working with his horses and mules.
George was employed by the City of Thayer, working for the street department for many years.
He was a Christian and a member of the Rose Hill Baptist church for many years.
He will be remembered by his family as a devoted husband, a loving and caring father and brother. He will truly be missed by all.
Memorial service for Mr. Taylor was held Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church, Thayer, with Bro. Wayne Guffey officiating. Services were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Thayer.
Norma June Philpott, 60

Norma June Philpott, the daughter of Walter Nanney and Opal (Pierce) Nanney, was death by her mother and stepmother.
Her survivors include, two sons, John Hudgens and Laurel, Brookings, S.D., and Jerry Beneze, Mobile, Ala.; one daughter, Peggy Watkins and Arlen, Ava; two stepdaughters, Wanda and Scott Palmer of Marshfield, and Charlotte and Rick Philbault, of Iron Mountain. Mich.; 16 grandchildren, Ronald, Ralissa, Lane, Eli, Nicalos, Derek, Stephinie, Cameron, Dalton, Challa, Tessa, Jacob, Arron, Christopher, Raymond and Dennis; three great-grandchildren; her father, Walter Nanney; two brothers, Allen Nanney and Bob Nanney, all of Springfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Clinkingbard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Naomi Watkins officiating. Cemetery.
Gerald Dale McKnight, 83

Gerald Dale McKnight, 83, Ozark, born Aug. 24, 1925, the son of Ballard and Ruth (Mabry) McKnight and grew up in the Ava and Roy communities.
From September 1944 to July 1946, he was stationed in Germany where he proudly served his country with the United States Army. On Jan. 23, 1948, he was united in marriage to Barbara Stafford and together they raised four sons.
Gerald worked the majority of his life on his farm in Rogersville where he dairy farmed, raised beef cattle and loved every aspect of the rural farm life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He was a loving grandfather and very supportive of his grandchildren and all of their extra-curricular activities. Gerald was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Barbara; four sons Jerry McKnight and wife Lou of Sparta, Larry McKnight and wife Beth of Rogersville, Terry McKnight and wife Autumn of Fordland, and Tim McKnight and wife Karen of Ozark; seven grandchildren, Melody Gray, Amanda McKnight, Jared McKnight, Evan McKnight, Brock McKnight, Easton McKnight, and Adam McKnight; two great-grandsons Brandon and Trenton Gray; several caring friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in Cemetery, Rogersville. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 28, in the funeral home.
Dora Dollarhide, 90

Dora Novella Dollarhide, daughter of George W. Lee and Laura (Craft) Lee, was death by her parents; her husband, Irvin; one son, Russell; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and nine brothers and sisters.
Her survivors include six children, Jack Dollarhide, Chadwick, Mo., Charlene Merritt, Ava, Mo., Ted Dollarhide, Oldfield, Mo., Earnest Dollarhide, Ava, Mo., Ronnie Dollarhide, Mansfield, Mo., and Wilma Cowens, Ava, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Dora were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Junior Hall officiating. Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made as love offerings to family.
Leland Robert Wolfgang, 59

Leland Robert Wolfgang was born May 19, 1924 in Seymour, Mo. to Gordon and Hazel (Bowers) Philpott.
Donald was a retired firefighter captain from Ontario, Calif., for over 27 years. He graduated from Ava High School and attended college in California. He was a veteran and served with the U. S. Army in World War II. Donald and Thelma Baird were united in marriage on March 15, 1947 and to this union three sons were Cemetery, Seymour, with military honors by Douglas County American Legion #112 and Ava VFW Post #5993. Officiating was Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice.
