Ryan Lovel Rogers, 58

Ryan Lovel Rogers, son (and third child) of Loren Lovel and Dorothy (Cosper) Rogers, was death by his parents.
Ryan was a Church of Christ minister for over 30 years, and a floor installer by trade. He was also a friend to and leading authority on country music legend, Merle Haggard.
Ryan is survived by his beloved wife, Leona; his precious children, Shane, Dustin, Michael Rogers, Presley Sultan, William and Leslie Damon, Amber Whitman, Don Looker; 12 grandchildren, Ava, Cailee and Michael Rogers, Derek, Daniel and Deche Sultan, Matthew and Clay Damon, Latrisha, Aimee and Courtney Whitman and Dustin Looker; all of his brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Ryan's nieces and nephews include, Cliffy Hughes (Thornfield), Cindy Marsh (Bradleyville), Darrell Eager (Greenwood, Ark.), Thomas, Rondo and Gator Damon, Lettie Baker, Moteet Ennis (Arkansas), Dee Dee Poslednik, Denny II, Rhett, and Stormy Rogers, Cassie Meadows, Misty McGee, Dawnie, David and Ray Gilliam, Jordan Rogers, Durand Jaramillo, and April Eager (Arizona), Chad Whitman (New York), Diane, Ricky, Patty and Johnny Johnson (Oregon), Sandy Johnson (California), George, Myra and Kenny Rogers, and Connie and David Slade, all of California.
Funeral was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Springerville, Ariz., under the direction of Burnham-Jewekes Funeral Home of Eager, Ariz. The services were conducted by Bishop Steve Hamblin, and presided over by the St. Johns State Presidency.
Billy Gene Loper, 68

Billy Gene Loper, son of Melton Loper and Levie Lawson Loper, was passed away in his home with his family around him on May 10, 2005, at the age of 68 years.
Billy was a resident of the Ava community since 1979, moving from St. Louis, Mo. He was an auto glass installer. On Aug. 28, 1955, Billy and Velora Moreland were united in marriage in St. Louis. Billy enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and teasing his family.
Billy was preceded in Interment will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the High Gate Baptist Church born Feb. 9, 1938, in Lebanon. He departed this life Wednesday, May 11, in his home near Mansfield, at the age of 67.
On Dec. 2, 1995, he was united in marriage to Patsy Jo Cantrell, and together they shared their love for the last nine years.
He was preceded in born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon R-III schools. At the age of 18 he moved to Iowa where he was employed by the Oscar Meyer Company, then the Heinz Company, and later the Caterpillar Company. In 1989 he moved to Ava and was employed by the Emerson Corporation and then the Copeland Corporation until retiring. He and Patsy had made their home in the Mansfield community for the past several years.
Carl had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Seymour Church of Christ.
In his spare time Carl enjoyed collecting coins and stamps.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, at 1 p.m. in Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield, with Elvis Denney officiating. Cemetery.
Diane Dietrich Waters, 75

Diane Dietrich Waters, daughter of Walter F. Dietrich and Evelyn M. Hannan Dietrich, was passed away on May 29, 2005, in St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 75 years.
Diane was a homemaker and resident of the Ava community for the past three years, moving from Van Nuys, Calif. She received her high school graduation certificate from Van Nuys High School. On Nov. 21, 1959, Diane and Calvin C. Waters were united in marriage in Reseda, Calif. While living in California, Diane loved attending the Pow Wows (Native American gatherings). She also enjoyed western music and loved to be with her family.
She was preceded in born Nov. 9, 1921, in Seymour, to James B. and Opal Bryan, married Mabel “Mabeline” Nance and they had one son, James A. Bryan.
Prior to World War II, James served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and during World War II he served in the United States Army and received the Purple Heart.
Together, James and Mabel owned and operated grocery stores in Longrun, McClurg and Norwood. They also owned and operated motel and restaurant businesses, apartments and rental houses in and about Springfield, Seymour, Branson and Forsyth. James drove for Associated Transport in Liberty, Mo., at one time.
James was preceded in Funeral Service at Rivermonte Chapel, Springfield, with Cemetery in Theodosia, officiated by family and friends.
Mr. Tennison born July 20, 1934, in Lutie, the son of Benjamin Ellis and Ethyl June (Lawrence) Tennison.
He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1953, and then served 10 years in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Granite Lodge No. 272 and a past member of the Abou Ben Adhem Temple in Springfield.
He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly spending time on his farm in Ozark County since retiring in 1997. His constant companion was his dog, Debo.
Mr. Tennison is survived by his wife, Sandra (Johnson) Tennison; one daughter, Teresa Emery and her husband, Richard, of Missoula, Mont.; two sons, Jeff Tennison and his wife, Anne, of Raymore and Ted Tennison and his wife, Lisa, of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Brad Tennison and Sarah Tennison of Raymore and Megan Emery of Missoula, Mont.; and a large circle of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials can be made to the Hospice Memorial Garden of Sedalia or the Mid-Missouri Humane Society.
