Ronda Sherl McFarland entered into the presence of her heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, after sharing her life with her family and friends for 56 years.
She was death by both of her parents.
Ronda is survived by her loving husband, Elza "Mac" of the home; one son, Chris McFarland, of Marshfield; one daughter, Shelly Bell and husband, B. J., of Ava; four grandchildren, Amber and E. J. McFarland, of Marshfield, and Arianna Davis and Megan Bell, of Ava; two brothers, Jerry Lawson and wife, Frances, of Kanapolis, NC, and Rick Lawson and wife, Donna, of Cassville; other loving relatives and many caring friends.
Visitation will be Friday evening, June 24, between the hours of 7-8 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25, also at the First General Baptist Church, under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Robert Roberts officiating.

Olive Lucretia Boorman, 85

Olive Lucretia Boorman the daughter of Victor Hunt and Eva Lowe, was death by her parents, one grandson, Anthony Barnes, a son-in-law, Paul "Skeet" Barnes, and a sister, Connie Anderson.
Olive is survived by her husband, Edward, of the home, Ava; three daughters, Barbara Barnes, Redondo Beach, Calif., Lorraine Guengerich and husband, Terry, Ava, and Michele Hyduke and her husband, Steve, Collierville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Jeff, David and Mike Barnes, Crystal Collom, Chelsea Maggard, and Christopher Raffles; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, in Mt. Olive Cemetery in c/o Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.
Robert Leonard Keach, 75

Robert Leonard Keach, son of Albert Ray Keach and Aileen Collier Keach, was passed away on July 9, 2005, in his home at the age of 75.
Robert was a resident of the Squires and Girdner community for over 20 years. He was a retired steel worker from McClouth Steel Corp. in Trenton, Mich., and was an Army veteran, having served his country in the Korean Conflict.
On June 11, 1955, Robert and Dolores Renner were united in marriage in Flat Rock, Mich.
Robert was preceded in born March 31, 1929, the son of James Hobson and Necia (Jones) Hobson, in Memphis, Tenn., and departed this life on June 30, 2005, in Ava, at the age of 76.
Jim was a resident of the Ava area since 1998, moving here from Colorado. Jim served his country with the U.S. Navy.
Jim’s passion was writing and he aspired to be a published author. He also enjoyed music and movies of all types. He was meticulous and all his hobbies showed his quest for perfection.
Jim was preceded in born May 2, 1920, in Ava, and departed this life July 11, 2005, at the age of 85.
Dortha was a resident of Ava, for the past 25 years moving here from Rochelle, Ill. On Oct. 15, 1941, Dortha and Sam Phillips were united in marriage in Arkansas. Dortha was a housewife and a member of the Happy Home Church. She enjoyed her church work, cooking, spending time and taking care of her family and finally to be sure that everyone knew what her thoughts were on any topic and all topics.
Dortha was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte McMaster, two grand-daughters, one grandson, two great grandchildren.
Dortha is survived by her husband, Sam, of the home, Ava; one daughter, Diana Bingham and husband, Harry, one son, Sammy Phillips and wife, Vickie, all of Ava; one step daughter, Sandra Bowers, Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Leota Erdhal, and one brother, Howard Dougherty and wife, Juanita, all of Ava; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. today (Thursday, July 14) in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Paul Welch and J. W. O'Neil officiating. Cemetery. Visitation was 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or to the American Diabetes Association.
Macey Suzanne Fritz, Infant

Macey Suzanne Fritz, the stillborn daughter of Shawn and Brenda Willard Fritz, was delivered Dec. 31, 2004. Although Macey never knew anything of this world she will always be remembered by those who loved her and will not forget her. She will be remembered by her parents, Shawn and Brenda Fritz, and her brother, Curtis, and sister, Abby Fritz, all of Ava; her maternal and paternal grandparents, Wayne and Cheryl Goodall and Dennis and Susan Fritz, all of Ava; her maternal and paternal great-grandparents, Larry and Karen Jones, of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Ray and Vi Fritz, of Ava; also by her maternal uncles, Nathan Goodall, Steve Goodall, Thomas and Brandy Goodall, and Kenny Willard; and her paternal aunt and her husband, Dawn and Casey Hayes. She will also be remembered by a host of other relatives and friends. Macey was preceded by her paternal great-grandparents, Earl and Mary Darby, of Ava. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Ava died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at the age of 85. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, at Sandy Funeral Home in Sandy, Oregon.
Bertha was married Alfa Ray Hodge in Ava, Mo. They lived in Missouri for two years before moving to Palmer, Idaho. In 1938, they moved to Gresham, Oregon. The next year they moved to Sandy, Oregon.
Bertha worked on Berry farms and the Holland Bulb Farm in the Sandy area until 1951, when she took a job with Mt. Hood Cleaners and Laundry. Beginning in 1973, she worked as a seamstress for Stenier Corp. in Portland. She retired in 1991 for medical reason.
Bertha enjoyed camping, traveling, making quilts and spending time with her family.
In 1989, Bertha was preceded in Interment was at Fir Lawn Cemetery, Sandy, Oregon.
