GLORIA ADELA MORALES-HURD

Gloria Adela Morales-Hurd (July 1st, 1954- February 26th, 2005) is survived by faithful and loving husband Stephen and their two sons Eric and Christopher and a daughter-in-law Samantha (all residing in Scottsdale, AZ), mother Odelia Roman and stepfather Pilar Roman (Hugoton, KS). Gloria was the second of eight children starting with Alicia Morales-Phillips (Mesquite, TX), Patricia French (Sublette, KS), Rogelio Morales (Paul’s Valley, OK), Dr. Oscar Morales Jr. (Duncan, OK), Jerry Morales (Tampa, FL), Israel Morales (Wichita, KS), and Margo Morales (Hugoton, KS). Her father Oscar Morales Sr (Liberal, KS) preceded her in death by his wife, Juanita Wood Cantrell and a son, Bobby Cantrell. A native of Mansfield, MO he was the son of Felix Jasper Cantrell and Martha Ellen Alford Cantrell.
Glen is survived by: a grandson, Timothy Lee Cantrell; a granddaughter, Terri Lynn Cantrel-Staudel; one sister, Venita Claxton, Mansfield, MO; three great-grandchildren Lindsey Sommervell, Koday and Kayla Fry.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday 2/27/2005 in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St., Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in Mansfield City death Juanita, Glen worked with David Goode, Director of Missions for Boone County Association in the organizing and starting the Countryside Baptist Church and served as the pastor until a pastor could be called.
In between some of the above events Glen served as Interim Pastor of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church near Boonville, Mo. for several Months
Glen was honored to be asked at different times and occasions to have the opportunity to speak at special events and occasions. Notably brought the opening message at a small church Pastors Conference at Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly in North Carolina, Alabama State Conventions.
Probably one of the most satisfying things of my work with the Missouri Baptist convention was the last year we solved the problems involved and reached the State Mission goal for the first time in history.. I was 67 years old when that happen.
STANLEY B. SEVERSON

Stanley B. Severson, 84, of Springfield born in Osseo, Wisconsin on March 29, 1920. He was preceded in Cemetery, at 2:OO PM on February 28.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
GERALD ELMER SOMMER

Gerald Elmer Sommer, death by his father, Elmer. He is survived by his mother, Edna, and his beloved wife of 45 years, Marcia. Additional survivors include six children, son, Jeff Sommer and wife Mandy, Joplin, daughter, Sherri Brosseau and husband Danny, Rogersville, son Gary Sommer and wife Linda, Republic, daughter, Susan SommerLuarca and husband EJ, Nixa; son, Chuck Sommer and wife Amy, Billings, and son, Dink Sommer and wife Jennifer, Oronogo; Gerald was also blessed with 14 grandchildren, Josh and Stephanie Sommer, Joplin, Justin, Katie, and Kelsey Brosseau, Rogersville, Tommy Joe, Clayton, BreAnn and Logan Sommer, Mt. Vernon, Chad Luarca, Las Vegas, Nev., Sarah and Macey Sommer, Billings, and Allie and Hayden Sommer, Oronogo; and his brother, Roger Sommer and wife Judie, Kimberling City. Services will be Friday, February 25, 2005, at 12 noon. They will be held in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn, Springfield, MO. 65807. Private family burial will follow in Pinecrest born June 16th, 1952, and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 13th.
Roy was the dearly loved husband of Melodi and the faithful father to sons, Brad and Ryan. He is survived by one sister Janice Jones and husband Randy, and in-laws Cheryl McKinney, Jerry Ogan, and Chris and Marilyn Haldiman, along with many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Roy was preceded in Cemetery. Visitation will be today 6-8 pm at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
EMMA G. HENDERSON

Emma G. Henderson 86 Springfield born December 14, 1918 in Springfield, Mo to Charles and Loretta Smith Henson.
Emma was a resident since the opening of the Missouri Baptist Home in Ozark, Mo.
Emma was a member of Macedonia Baptist church and a homemaker, She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and reading.
Emma Henson and James Henderson were born to this union
Survivors include her husband James of Springfield, Mo. two sons and their wives, James and Jeri Henderson, David and Diane Henderson, one daughter Debra Trotter all of Springfield, Mo. one sister Goldie Fuhr of Hemet, Ca. 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
Services and will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. With burial following in Brookline born in Cushing, OK to Athron and Iva Bennett on March 29, 1943. He attended grade and high school at Ripley, OK and graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. He was an aircraft mechanic for Braniff Airlines in Dallas, TX for 17 years. He worked for Worldwide Aircraft at Springfield Branson Airport for the past 11 years.
Visitation will be Wednesday January 26, 2005 from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 1:00 PM in Walnut Lawn DeGraffenreid-Wood Funeral Home Chapel, Springfield, with burial in Macomb Cemetery, Macomb, MO.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hulston Cancer Center, Cox South and Community Hospice for all their care during his illness.
