Bobby G. Burton, 78, of Kewanee, Ill., born on Nov. 26, 1927 in the Frye community of Squires, Mo., the son of George and Ole (Frye) Burton. He death on July 5, 1998.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby R. (Ardith) Burton of Atkinson, Ill., Carl Burton, of Kewanee, Ill.; two daughters, Brenda (Marlin) Tucker, of Squires, and Carol (Darryl) Funk, of Huntsville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Gary Williams, Jason Burton, Reece Randall, Rex Randall, Amy Burgard and Michelle Burton; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy Burton, of Ava; and one sister, Aileen Heimeyer, of San Francisco, Calif.
He was preceded in born on May 19, 1922, in Vanzant, Mo., and departed this life on May 18, 2006, in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Mo. She was 83 years of age.
Vera was united in marriage to Claude Lovan on May 5, 1944, in West Plains, Mo. Six children were passed away on July 31, 1991.
Vera was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, who will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was a long time member of the Victory Church and was well known for her beautiful singing voice. She often sang at area funerals and church meetings.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove.
Charles W. Stallcup, 71

Charles W. Stallcup, 71, was passed away in his home in Springfield during the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 31, 2006.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. With a keen wit and spontaneous personality he quickly made friends and lasting relationships.
Charles is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; son Charles R. Stallcup and wife, Melissa, of Sparta; daughter Susan R. Fiedler and husband, Rick, of Springfield; granddaughter, Megan A. LeBlanc and husband, Norman, and great-granddaughter, Daisha, of Hampton, Va.; grandson, Chase A. Stallcup, of Sparta; granddaughter Amanda R. Mitchell and husband, Keith, and great-granddaughter, Ellie, of Aldrich, and granddaughter Amy Forrest of St. Louis.
He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Stallcup and James Stallcup, both of Springfield, sister Betty Campbell, of southern California, and many other relatives and close friends.
In the early 1950's Charles moved from the Kansas City area to southern California. In 1955 he Cemetery.
Brandon E. Darlington, 27

Brandon Edward Darlington, son of Clyde and Juanita (Linder) Darlington, was born and raised in Ava. If anyone stayed with Brandon and visited with him for more than five minutes, they knew what Brandon loved - he loved to hunt, fish, camp, cook, play his guitar, and hunt mushrooms like his Papaw Darrel taught him. If he wasn't singing one of his songs, he was telling jokes and making turkey calls. Brandon loved to host barbeques and have softball games. Brandon loved life and never let anyone have a dull or serious moment. He was the type of person that no one could ever stay angry at. He would do anything for anyone that asked him. He worked at many various jobs, but mostly with construction, last working for Rost Construction in Marshfield.
Brandon was preceded in Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the foundation of donor’s choice.
Clifton K. Bunyard, 90

Clifton K. Bunyard, 90, born May 2, 1916, in Ava, to Anthony and Minnie (Osborn) Bunyard. He death by five brothers, Virgil, Gordon, Hobart, Herbert and Leonard; and by a sister, Gladys Larkin.
Clifton worked 40 years (1937-1977) as lead inspector at the TWA Engine Overhaul Base in Kansas City. In 1988 he moved from the Kansas City area to Greenwood, Ind. A veteran of World War II, he served as Army staff sergeant with the Corps of Engineers in France and England. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, a member of the TWA Employees Club, and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park in Kansas City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
Wanda Jenkins, 55

Wanda “Snooks” Jenkins, 55, entered her heavenly home Friday, July 14, 2006, at the Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, surrounded by her family and friends.
She started her earthly walk Sept. 26, 1950, in Ava, with parents Russell and Oma Katherine Lathrop. Snooks was united in marriage to Al Jenkins on Sept. 19, 1970.
Snooks enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling with her husband, Al, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to make music for her Lord. Most of all, Snooks loved to read her Bible, praise her Lord and do Christian work for the church and community.
Snooks was preceded in Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gideons International, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or the Goodhope Cemetery.
