Margaret A. "Maggie" Chaney, the daughter of James Roy Chaney and Ruth Carnes Chaney, was death by her parents.
She is survived by one brother, James Chaney, of Connecticut; an aunt, Jewel Loomis, Cabool; uncles, Jack Chaney, Mtn. Grove, Dick and Nellie Carnes, Mtn. Grove; several cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 2:30 p.m. at the Penner born April 3, 1922 in Douglas County, to Martin and Celia (Miller) Lane. He departed this life Oct. 1, 2006 at the age of 84.

Martin served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army. Martin was a dairy farmer. He worked in Colorado for 55 years and was employed by the Schmidt Family Farm. Later, moving back to Ava he worked for years with Sentinel. Martin loved to go to the Senior Citizens to play pool.
Martin was preceded in Interment will follow in the Fannon born Jan. 1, 1952 in Kalispell, Mont., and departed this life Oct. 5, 2006, at the age of 54.
Richard was a resident of the Ava area and was a beef farmer. On Oct. 28, 1978 Richard and Linda Marie Becker were united in marriage in Denver, Colo. Richard and Linda were blessed with three sons. Linda preceded Richard in death by his parents.
Richard enjoyed spending time with his children, pontoon boating, traveling and fixing and maintaining his farm.
He is survived by his four children, Nicholas Shelhamer, Columbia, Timothy Shelhamer, Joplin, Toby Shelhamer and Julia Shelhamer both of Ava; one sister, Sandy Gress, Pueblo, Colo.; one brother, Michael Shelhamer, Yuma, Ariz.; and a host of friends.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, Ava, with the Rev. Robert Roberts officiating. Love offerings may be made to the family at the funeral home.
Stella Kathryn Steward, 76

Stella Kathryn Steward, daughter of James B. Anderson and Susie Manning Anderson, was passed away on Feb. 7, 2005, in Springfield, at the age of 76.
Stella was a resident of Mtn. Grove for several years, moving from Ava. She was a food service supervisor with Chastain’s Nursing Home in Ava for several years.
On July 2, 1980, Stella and Earl Steward were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, Ark. Stella enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She also loved to read and watch her hummingbirds.
Stella was preceded in Interment will be in the Fannon born on Aug. 8, 1939, west of Ava, and departed this life on Oct. 14, 2006, in Ava, at the age of 67.
Lyle was a life long resident of the Ava area where he was a dairy farmer. He was an Air Force veteran and served from 1957 till 1961.
On March 3, 1963, Lyle and Sydney Rees Evans were united in marriage at Oakley, Kan., and to this union two children were death by one grandson, Joshua, and his parents, Jesse and Freda Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sydney; two sons, Jimmy Lee Jenkins, of Ava, and Jerry Wayne Jenkins, of Fort Smith, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jessica Jenkins, Julie Jenkins and Thomas Jenkins; one brother, Bill Jenkins and wife Kathy, of Oronogo, Mo.; three sisters, Virginia Jones and husband Gordon, Strafford, Joann Austin and husband, Evon, of Smithville, and Laurie Bon Jour of Bastrop, Texa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, and burial in Denney born Aug. 20, 1971 I Olathe, KS and departed this life on Nov. 5, 2006 at Skaggs Community Hospital, Branson, MO at the age of 35 years, 2 months and 15 days.
Frank was a concrete construction worker and employed by Sartin Concrete Co. & Tom Hadd Concrete Co. for several years.
On Feb. 14, 1993 Frank and Tamara "Tammy" Lynn Emerson were united in marriage in Olathe, KS and to this union two children were death by his one son, Cody Sartin, paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.
Frank is survived by his wife, Tammy of the home in Taneyville, two daughters, Kimberly Ann Sartin, of the home, Ashley Davis, Olathe, KS, his parents, Frank Lee, Sr. and Marlene Sartin, Bradleyville, MO, paternal grandmother, Dollie Sartin, Bradleyville, MO, two sisters, Angie Coulter, Bradleyville, Dolly Henderson, Raytown, MO, Danny Lee Sartin, Rantoul, KS, Robert Lee Sartin, Kansas City, KS and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services are Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at the Bradleyville Church of the Nazarene, Bradleyville, MO with the Rev. Vernon Fuller officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 7:00 p.m. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO.
