David Leon Evans, 55

David Leon Evans, son of the late Orville and Norma (Hathcock) Evans, was born to this union. In 1987, Dave opened Northside Tire and Wheel in Mtn. Grove, where he owned and operated his business until his death by one brother, Donnie; one brother-in-law, Mac Sloan; and by one nephew, Scottie Sloan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delores, of their home; two sons, Jason Evans and Josh Evans, both of Mtn. Grove; one daughter, Leasa Evans, of Mtn. Grove; four brothers, Bob Evans and his wife, Wanda, of Mtn. Home, Ark., Jim Evans and his wife, Regina, of Ava, Junior Evans, of Tecumseh, and Larry Evans and his wife, Rhonda, of Mtn. Home, Ark.; three sisters, Linda McCrea and her husband, Junior, of Houston, Annie Sloan, of Mtn. Grove, and Fern Robertson and her husband, Francis, of Mtn. Grove; several nephews and nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
Funeral services for Dave Evans were held Monday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel, Mtn. Grove, with the Rev. Reg Kelly officiating. Burial was in the Clear Springs died Dec. 17, 2006. She was the widow of Richard H. Romano. Upon retirement in 1992, Mrs. Romano and her late husband moved to Ava. A devoted Catholic, she was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Ava.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher J. and Louise Romano of Heathsville, Va.; brother-in-law, Wilfred Jarvis, New Hartford, Conn.; sister-in-law, Anne Pollo of Bolton, Conn.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Poquonock, Conn., with cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Ava at a later date.
Ralph E. Siler, 86

Ralph E. Siler, 86, of Nixa, born April 19, 1920, in Brown Branch, the son of Jesse W. and Eulah (Taber) Siler. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Feb. 21, 1942, he and Maxine J. Hires were united in marriage.
Mr. Siler owned and operated the Nixa Dairy Queen from 1960 until 1979. He previously operated a country store in Douglas County, south of Ava.
Mr. Siler was a member of Nixa Christian Church where he served as an elder and was board vice chairman. He served on the Nixa Electrical Board, and was a member of the Nixa Lions Club and Nixa American Legion. He loved to garden and share the harvest.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine; two sons and their wives, James E. and Jeana Siler, Nixa, and Joseph R. and Debbie Siler, Springfield; four grandchildren, Sandy Siler, Emily Crouse and husband, Matt, Jake Siler, and Josh Siler; two brothers, Claude Siler, Washington, D.C., and Bob Siler, Ava; a sister, Ora Schmitt, Beaufort, S.C.; nieces and nephews.
His parents and a brother, Billie Siler, preceded him in Cemetery, Springfield, with military honors. Visitation was Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nixa Christian Church building fund.
Bonita Jean Collins, 60

Bonita Jean Collins, daughter of Henry and Bea (Enger) Balliet, was passed away Feb. 10, 2007, at the age of 60.
On June 15, 1997, Bonita and Anthony Bulver were united in marriage in Lindstrom, Minn. Anthony and Bonita have lived in Ava for the past five years after moving here from Tucson, Ariz. Bonita was the clinical coordinator for the Missouri Ozarks Community Heath Center. She loved treating people in the clinic and seeing to their medical safety.
Bonnie found peace at her farm in Lindstrom, in gardening and her chickens.
Survivors include her husband Anthony, of Ava; her parents, Henry and Bea Balliet, of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; two sons, Robert H. Collins and wife, Tammy, of Forest Lake, Minn., and Gary B. Collins, Minneapolis, Minn.; two brothers, Wayne Balliet, of Bismarck, N.D., and Wallace Balliet, of Valentine, Neb.; and three sisters, Beverly Chapman and husband, Michael, of Buffalo, Wyo., Brenda Stapleton and husband, Eric, of Japan, and Betty Donat, of Rathdrum, Idaho; and three grandchildren, Shelby, Erin and Cole Collins, all of Forest Lake, Minn.
Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Clinkingbeard Chapel.
Adrian W. Sellers, 80

Adrian W. Sellers, 80, of East Moline, Ill., Cemetery.
Adrian was married Patsy Mazzarollo in Mtn. Home, Ark., in 1949.
Adrian was a forge hammer operator for Deere Harvester for 30 years.
He was a World War II Army veteran serving at Omaha Beach, Normandy, and at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a deacon at Moline Gospel Temple where he also drove the church bus and brought people from the nursing home to church. He also loved to read Scripture.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sellers, East Moline; his children, Rodney (Joy) Sellers, Davenport, Iowa, Cindy Lester, Moline, Ill., and Terry Sellers, Sherrard, Ill.; grandchildren, Tricia Thurman, Christa Thurman, Michael Sellers, and Jacob Sellers; great-grandchild, Preston Thurman; one brother, Harold (Diane) Sellers, Naperville, Ill.; one sister, Sharon (Jerry) Wood, Ava; a brother-in-law, Earl Walley, Ava; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in born March 20, 1931 in Bell, Calif., the daughter of Harvey and Roxie (Norris) Beason. She was raised in Ava, and on June 6, 1953, was united in marriage to Fred Tando. She was a Baptist by faith.
Audrey was a small woman with a big heart and was loved by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed her family and friends. She was a member of the Fairview Antique Car Club and looked forward to the monthly meetings with her friends. She especially enjoyed the visits and traveling with her dear nephew and his wife, Ron and Pat Stevens.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 53 years, Fred Tando; two sons, Gregory Lee Tando, Aurora, and Jeffrey Dale Tando and dear partner, Pamela Allen, Springfield; a daughter, Pamela Sue Williams and husband Joe, Clever; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters; and three brothers.
She was preceded in passed away Tuesday evening at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, in Ava.
Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Whelchel Funeral Home of Forsyth.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Gideons International or Dann Cemetery.
