Ruth M. Shryack
Ruth M. Shryack, age 92, of Sunrise Beach, born September 12, 1912 in Novelty, Missouri, the daughter of Holland I. and Anna Lee Sadler Griggs. On January 28, 1942 she death in May of 1969. Mrs. Shryack graduated from Normal Teachers College in Kirksville, Mo. in 1937. She was a retired English teacher from school districts in Missouri and Michigan. She was a dedicated and distinguished member of D.A.C. George Hull Chapter since 1959, held many chapter and state level offices such as State Regent, First Vice Regent, and State Treasurer. She served as Worthy Matron of the Kirksville Chapter #184 Order of the Eastern Star, as District Deputy and held the State office of Grand Ruth. She was president of the Kirksville P.T.A., town chairman of P.T.A. and also served as district chairman. She was a member of the Truman State Golden Alumni Association, and was involved with projects at the School of the Ozarks and conservation projects such as the “Planet For Tomorrow” program in Missouri. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid reader of many books. Mrs. Shryack lived in Kirksville, Missouri before moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas and on to Sunrise Beach, Missouri in 1986. She is survived by one son, John Shryack of Versailles, Missouri; one brother William Griggs of Davis, California, many other relatives and friends. At her request her remains were cremated. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Novelty, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Helen L. Drysdale
Helen L. Drysdale, age 85, of Barnett, born June 16, 1919 in Carroll County, Missouri, the daughter of Loyd B. and Veryl Calvert Emmett. She was united in marriage on December 24, 1957 with Stephen H. Drysdale. Mrs. Drysdale was a retired insurance underwriter, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Versailles. She is survived by her husband, Stephen H. Drysdale of the home, several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in Interment will be Friday morning in the Versailles passed away Friday morning, March 4, 2005, at his home. He was death by two brothers, Wray Colvin and Sonny Colvin, and two sisters, Violet Wisnewski and Wanda Dixon, and one son, James Colvin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Reverend William Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday, at the funeral home. Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the AWANAS youth group at the Calvary Baptist Church in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Nadine C. Kays
Nadine C. Kays, age 75, of Versailles, born May 7, 1929 in Morgan County, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene D. and Maudie Akin Nichols. Mrs. Kays worked at the Primo Factory and Fasco Industries. She was later an office aide at the Morgan County Division of Family Services. She was a member of West Union Baptist Church. She is survived by four son, Don Kays of Versailles, Joe Kays of Versailles, Hugh Kays of Rosamond, California, and Bill Kays of Versailles; two daughters, Beverly Chastain of Lebanon, and Becky Sizer of Fortuna; one stepson, Jack Kays of Des Moines, Iowa; one stepdaughter, Betty Rose of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Mildred Young of Cedar Rapids, Iowa;12 grandchildren, Bobby Chastain, Justin Kays, Jordon Kays, Scott Sizer, Nicole Sizer, Erin Sizer, Ashley Burkhart, Kimberly Mitchell, Kerry Miller, Zachary William Kays, Sydney Gayle Kays, and Emma Cate Kays; 7 great-grandchildren, Alana, Marah, Makanna, Russell, Hannah, Aiden and Kennedy, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in Interment will be in the Versailles passed away Thursday, February 10, 2005, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was married in Stover to Mancil E. Shore who preceded her in married Roy M. Shore, who survives of the home. Mrs. Shore graduated from Versailles High School in 1935. She worked at Tweedies in Jefferson City and later in Versailles. She worked for Barnes Jewelry Store and later for Davenport Jewelry in Versailles. Mrs. Shore made a profession of faith at an early age and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles for about 75 years. She began teaching Sunday school in the children’s department when she was 16 and taught for about 60 years. She is survived by her one daughter, Ernestine Hardin of Lake Ozark; three grandchildren, Lora Klein and her husband Cloyce, Elaine “Lainie” Franklin of Lee’s Summit, and Rick Hardin of the state of Nevada; three great-grandchildren, Melissa Klein Marriott and her husband Ryan of Versailles, Matt Klein of Eldon, and Alisha Hardin of Sedalia; and one great-great-granddaughter, Joscelynn Marriott of Versailles. She was preceded in Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Wayne Allen, Cloyce Klein, Matt Klein, Ryan Marriott, David Franklin and Bill Fields. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Allen, Rick Hardin, Wayne Hardin, Jack Smith, Clifford Pryor and David Merriott. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Versailles, or the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Gail E. Thompson
Gail E. Thompson, age 62, of Versailles, born November 6, 1942 at Enon, Missouri, the son of Hadley H. and Stella Hardcastle Thompson. He married Loretta “Rita” Braden, who preceded him in death by one brother, Carl Thompson, and one sister Doris Birdsong. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Bonnie Maxine Riffle
Bonnie Maxine Riffle, age 81, of Raytown, formerly of Versailles, born March 16, 1923 near Barnett, Missouri, the daughter of Arthur and Lillie Cochran Kidwell. She was united in marriage on January 5, 1942 with Murray W. Riffle, who preceded her in death by one brother, James Kidwell, and one sister, Ilene Moore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Cemetery in Barnett. Casketbearers will be Warren Riffle, Donald Riffle, Bill Horton, Rodney Riffle, Tzarus Christon, and Larry Moore. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
