Hallene E. Harbison
Hallene E. Harbison, age 85, of Versailles, born May 28, 1919 at Naylor, Missouri, the daughter of Frank Sr. and Zula Sapp Nichols. She was united in marriage on November 1, 1944 in Jefferson City with Harry L. Harbison, who preceded her in Interment will be in the Versailles passed away Monday afternoon, October 25, 2004 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was married Shirley Mosier of Arkansas. He later passed away Friday morning, October 22, 2004 at his home. He was death by two brothers, Burl Slates and Burton Slates, and one sister, Margaret Mundorff. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. William Johnson officiating. Robert Ross will sing “How Great Thou Art” accompanied at the organ by Virginia Ross, and the Vince Gill recording of “Go Rest High On That Mountain” was played. Cemetery in Laurie, with military honors under the auspices of the Zack Wheat American Legion Post #624 of Sunrise Beach. Casketbearers will be Andy Maddox, Luke Maddox, Travis Maddox, Christopher Rumker, Valeri Rumker and Heath Maddox. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Gravois Fire Protection District Firefighter Association Memorial. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Junior J. Evans
Junior J. Evans, age 82, of Versailles, born January 12, 1922 in Pettis County, Missouri, the son of Charles Glovis and Della Mae Evans. Junior was a buyer/seller most of his life and owned Versailles Salvage Yard for several years and later a salvage yard in Sedalia. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Versailles Church of Christ. He is survived by his significant other, Katherine Moodie of the home; one son, Jimmy Evans of Rolla; one daughter, Renie of Sedalia; three sisters, Evelyn Haggerman of Versailles, Frances Merriott of Neosho, and Wyoma Small of Marion, Indiana; several grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Brother Lloyd Camp Sr. officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Charles B. Uptergrove
Charles B. Uptergrove, age 51, of Climax Springs, born June 16, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Charles Burton Sr. and Beneta Cantwell Uptergrove. He was a welder, member of the Iron Workers Union and U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his fiancée, Kelly Greene of Independence; two step children, Aaron Greene and Stephanie Millikan of Independence; one brother, Darrin Kahler of Climax Springs; three sisters, Janet Wilkerson and Diana Crockett of Climax Springs, and Brenda Rice of Independence; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in Interment will be in the Mose Clark passed away Monday evening, October 18, 2004 at the Laurie Care Center. She was death in 1949. Gertrude later death. She worked for Phillips Petroleum in Kansas City, Kansas, owned several taverns and was a life time member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Gertrude enjoyed traveling and especially Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Lesher of Gravois Mills, four grandchildren, Larry Yount and wife, Elaine of Creighton, Missouri, Gregory Yount of Sunrise Beach, Sherri Hyatt of Gravois Mills, and Harold K. Hyatt and wife, Joan of Camdenton, MO; five great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, devoted friends Bob and Madelyn Wiscour of Gravois Mills, many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was death by her parents, one brother Theodore Seals, and one sister Geraldine Becher. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie with Father C.D. “Bo” Ryan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
