Lora “Nadine” Hays
Lora “Nadine” Hays, age 85, of Versailles, formerly of Fortuna, born December 31, 1919 in Morgan County, the daughter of the late Owen and Nellie Smith Drake. She was united in marriage on February 2, 1945 to Ercell Hunter Hays Jr. who preceded her in death by two brothers, Donald and Harold Drake; and one sister Bernice Bridges. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Reverend Todd Forman officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made the Versailles Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Daniel Edgar Dunscomb
Daniel Edgar Dunscomb, age 94, of Laurie, MO, born February 24, 1911 in Malden, Missouri, the son of the late Daniel “Edgar” and Margaret “Olive” Capshaw Dunscomb. He was united in marriage to Oma L. Koeppel on May 23, 1937 who preceded him in Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel.

Cora Evelyn Breit
Cora Evelyn Breit, age 84, of Gravois Mills, born December 2, 1920 at Rochester, Missouri, the daughter of Commodore Perry and Josie Marie Caldwell Hines. She was united in marriage on March 20, 1948 in Independence, Missouri with James Otto Breit. Mrs. Breit was a homemaker, member of Westlake Christian Church in Laurie and life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Camdenton. She is survived by her husband, James Otto Breit of the home; one daughter, Sharon Kay Schenherr of Gravois Mills; one brother, Charles Hines of Rogers, Arkansas; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in interment will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Brooking passed away Monday, April 4, 2005 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. Mr. Hardin was married Hazel Lain on December 24, 1930. She predeceased him in 1980. He was also predeceased by one son, Norman Lee in 1934. He is survived by his son Wayne of Versailles; three grandchildren, Lora Klein and her husband Cloyce of Eldon; Elaine “Lainie” Franklin of Lee’s Summit, and Rick Hardin of Nevada; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. Hardin started the Versailles Block Factory in 1934 and then later the Versailles Ready Mix Plant. They retired around 1972. Upon retiring, Mr. Hardin spent his time farming, fishing, and playing canasta with his friends. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Versailles passed away Friday evening, April 1, 2005 at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis. He was married Mildred Peoples who preceded him in death by one brother, Bill Eppard. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Vocal recordings of “Word Of God Speak”, “I Can Only Imagine”, “I’ll Fly Away” and “To Where You Are” were played. Burial will be in the Ritchie passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam, Kansas. She was death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 8, 2005 at the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church in Gravois Mills, with Reverend Ellen Hoff officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M. Friday at the Strasburg passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Somerset at Claridge Court in Prairie Village, Kansas. She was death in 1954. She later death. Hulda was a voluminous reader with a marvelous sense of humor and a quick wit. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning. Although she was a very strong woman, she had a hard life and has finally found peace. She is survived by one daughter, Michele Janchar and husband Jim of Overland Park, KS; one brother, George Johnson and wife Rosemary of Raytown, MO; two sisters, Marjorie Hensley and Julia Wingate both of Raytown, MO; and two grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Janis Fey. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Inurnment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice, 9200 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114. Special thanks to the staff at Somerset. Their kindness and caring helped in making the final transition a peaceful one.
