Cynthia Ann Tomasic
Cynthia Ann Tomasic, age 57, of Versailles, born November 14, 1947, in Clinton, South Carolina, the daughter of John Robert and Letha Mae Ray Hamrick. She was united in marriage on January 29, 1994 with Joseph F. Tomasic. Cynthia drove a school bus for Turner School District in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a member of the West Union Baptist Church near Versailles. She is survived by her husband, Joseph F. Tomasic of the home; one son, Johnny Deaner of Kansas City, Kansas; one daughter, Melissa Lavigne of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Nicholas Deaner, many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. Rod Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Gather J. Howard
Gather J. Howard, age 78, of Jefferson City, born December 20, 1926 at Bagnell, Missouri, the youngest son of Lon and Zelia Hicks Howard. He was united in marriage on November 17, 1953 with Rosa June Sharpe, who preceded him in death are six children, Gloria Beveridge of Jefferson City, MO, Jessie Moyers of Pacific, MO, Jackie Moyers of Virginia Beach, VA, David Pinney of Pensacola, FL, Sondra Schwehn of Grand Island, NE, and Lynn Howard of Jefferson City, MO; two brothers, Leslie Howard of Versailles, and Ralph Howard of Independence; one sister, Opal Kreiling of Versailles; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday evening, May 22, 2005 near Stover. He was death by his father, and one brother Don Stevenson. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles passed away Saturday morning, April 23, 2005 at her home. She was death by one son, Darrell Wayne Smith, and two brothers, George Williams and Merl Williams. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. Everett Rayl officiating. Vocal selections of “One Day At A Time” and “Beyond The Sunset” were played. Cemetery near Versailles. Memorials are suggested to the Barnett Baptist Church. Lorena May Housworth
Lorena May Housworth, 89, of Jefferson City, born May 28, 1915 near Versailles, Mo, a daughter of the late Hugh and Blanche Wahlers Smiley. She was death March 22, 1995. Lorena was a devoted mother and grandmother. She taught Sunday School classes for many years, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Jefferson City. She worked at Dillons Super Market and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Silvey and husband Bill, of Jefferson City; one son Loren R. Housworth and wife Betty, of Warrensburg; one sister Louella Byler of St. James; two brothers, Milfred Smiley of Pleasant Hill, and H.W. Smiley of Versailles; five grandchildren, Joy Bax and husband Bob, Jeff Silvey and wife Monica, Kamala Stevens, Byron Housworth, and Stacey Phelps, nine great grandchildren, Jeremy Silvey, Andrew Bax, Jennifer Beeler, Kamala Stevens, Lauren Bax, Lauren Rae Stevens, Becca Phelps, Kindall Phelps, Erick Feeley, and Jordan Bax, one great-great grandson, Brent Silvey, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in Interment will be in the Versailles passed away Saturday, September 9, 2005 at the Medical Center of Independence. She was death by two brothers, Raymon Howser and Douglas Howser. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2005 in the Versailles passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. He was married Betty Jean Hathorn who preceded him in Entombment will be at a later date in Garber Memorial Estates Columbarium in Laurie. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Osage Community Elks. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
