Martha Josephine Raines
Martha Josephine Raines, age 92, of Versailles, born January 9, 1913 at Linn Creek, Missouri, the daughter of Draper and Susan Eva Holloway Ayres. She was united in marriage on June 13, 1934 in Booneville, with Thomas (Press) Raines, who preceded her in death by one brother, Bud Ayres, and one sister, Irene Lafferty. Funeral and Eastern Star Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Pastors Jim Kruse and John Wagner officiating. Eastern Star Services will be under the auspices of the O.E.S. Chapter #410 of Versailles. Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Gary Don Raines, Bennie Dale Pointer, Roy Curtis, Kyle Pointer, Micheal Curtis, and Ronnie Raines. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church of Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

JOHN EDWARD DAYTON
John Edward Dayton, age 94, of Versailles, born March 3, 1911, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Joseph Hurley and Connie McNeese Dayton. He was united in marriage on October 3, 1929, with Mary Elizabeth Cross who preceded him in death by one brother Fred Dayton, and one sister Myrtle Bredson. There are no memorial services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Carl LeRoy “Bubba” Wood
Carl LeRoy “Bubba” Wood, age 47, of Springfield, formerly of Versailles, born September 13, 1957 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the son of Carl LeRoy and Joyce Harris Wood. He is survived by four sisters, Sheila Wood of Eldon, Cindy Huff of Gravois Mills, Susan Lehman of Illinois, and Wanda Sherry Ruff of Fayetteville, North Carolina, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in passed away Saturday morning, September 17, 2005 at his home. He was Cemetery in St. Louis. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Dorothy J. Palmer
Dorothy J. Palmer, age 82, of Versailles, born December 25, 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of James L. and Ada Echols Knight. She was united in marriage on June 27, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia with Curtis James Palmer, who preceded her in Interment will be in the Versailles passed away Monday morning, May 16, 2005 at her home. She was Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet passed away Friday morning, July 22, 2205 at the Laurie Care Center. She was married Ernest Sturgill who preceded her in death by one brother, Arthur Hibdon, and one sister Melinda Snyder. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
