PEARL E. WININGEAR

Date of death: November 21, 2008

Pearl E. Winingear of Fulton, Missouri passed away at the age of 93 at the Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri on Friday, November 21, 2008. She was born on September 24, 1915 to the late Ruben and Dora (Bacon) Felkner. In 1932, she was united in marriage to William Clarence Winingear, who he preceded her in death on October 17, 1984. Pearl worked at the Missouri School for the Deaf in the Food Service Department. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, watching television, reading, and spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four daughters, Ellen Robbins of Rupert, Idaho, Naoma Taylor and her husband, William, of Lewistown, Illinois, Betty Garriott of Fulton, Missouri, and Dean Garriott and her husband, Donald, of Fulton, Missouri; one son, Troy Ruben Winingear and his wife, Linda, of Fulton, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many dear friends. Her parents, husband, and two brothers, Nelson Felkner and Herman Felkner, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri, with Reverend Mike Crowson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard,Fulton, Missouri 65251.

I.M. “BUD” FERGUSON

Date of death: November 20, 2008

I.M. “Bud” Ferguson of New Bloomfield, Missouri passed away at the age of 84 on Thursday, November 20, 2008. He was born March 29, 1924 in Tebbetts, Missouri, a son of the late G. Francis Ferguson and Ella E. Huebbler Ferguson. On September 9, 1945, he was united in marriage to Rosalie Maharg, who survives.

Bud worked as a farmer and also was a sawmill operator, heavy equipment operator, and timber man. He loved helping his neighbors and was know as the “community historian” and storyteller.

In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Teresa Culwell; two grandchildren, Mark and Terrie Culwell; seven great grandchildren, Chelsey Stafford, Stormy Coffman, Zain Culwell, Payton Culwell, D.J. Butcher Austyn Culwell, Lee Butcher; one brother, Larry Ferguson of Dixie, Missouri; and one sister, Betty Steck of St. Martins, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, two sisters, Kathleen Winingear and Patty Graves, and one son, Rodger Lee Ferguson, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri, with Reverend Steve Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Interment will be held at the Mt. Tabor cemetery.

WILMA I. THOMAS

Date of death: November 20, 2008

Wilma I. Thomas of Fulton, Missouri passed away at the age of 81 at the Fulton Nursing and Rehab on Thursday, November 20, 2008. She was born January 13, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Clarence William and Edna Anna (Burns) Goodman. On October 18, 1944 she was united in marriage to Chester Lee Thomas, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 2, 1995.

Wilma first worked at a garment factory in Winfield and Troy. She later worked as a daycare operator for the First Assembly of God Church in O’Fallon, Missouri. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton, Missouri.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Chester Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Holts Summit, Missouri; two daughters, Judymae Anna Griffaw and her husband, Charlie, of Winfield, Missouri, and Amanda Sue Thomas of Garnett, Kansas; one brother, William Goodman of St. Louis, Missouri; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many dear friends. Her parents, husband, one brother, Tommy Goodman, and one son, Dennis Paul Thomas, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri, with Reverend Mike Haldeman officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Interment will be held at the Fairview cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, Missouri 65251.

MICHAEL JOSEPH GILBERT JR.

Tuesday, March 10, 1942 - Saturday, March 12, 2016

Michael Joseph Gilbert, Jr., 74, of Fulton passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.

He was born on March 10, 1942 in Chicago, Il., the son of the late Michael J. Gilbert, Sr. and the late Florence (Gilbert) Gilbert.

On March 2, 1964, Mike was united in marriage to Laura (Cooper) Gilbert. She survives his passing.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed/patrolled at the DMZ. He was a member of the Church of God (Holiness). For many years, he and Laura owned Mike and Laura’s Bar and Grill and Hairtique Beauty Shop. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage. Spending time with his grandchildren and family was of great importance to him.

Along with his wife of 52 years, Mike will be missed by his son, Scott Gilbert (Lisa) of Fulton; grandchildren, Stephanie and Seth Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Church of God (Holiness) in Fulton with Travis Saylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest cemetery.

NOAL WAYNE KRONK

Saturday, April 7, 1945 - Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Noal Wayne Kronk, 70, of Fulton joined his Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He died at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with mesothelioma cancer.

Wayne was born April 7, 1945 in Fulton to the late Noah W. Kronk and Mary Alma (Nelson) Kronk.

Wayne lived in Callaway County except for his high school years, graduating from Stover, Mo. Wayne worked for 28 years at AP Green Refractories in Mexico and Fulton. He served six years in the Army National Guard.

Wayne married Kathy Kronk, the love of his life, in 1969. They lived their entire 46 years on a farm in Fulton, with winters spent in Everglades City, Florida the last 20 years. Wayne raced sprint cars throughout Missouri and neighboring states for over 30 years and had many great times with friends and family enjoying the sport. Wayne was a hard-working man; he farmed, rebuilt Corvettes, developed real estate, and was a mechanic all his life. He was a man of honor, honesty, responsibility and loving care for his family.

After his retirement from AP Green and racing, he and Kathy enjoyed playing bluegrass music with their friends in Florida and at church. His greatest joy was the old hymns and music with a gospel message.

Wayne was saved at an early age, and was baptized into Christ at Callaway Christian Church in July, 2004. He attended the Church of God Holiness in Reform, Mo. and the First Baptist Church of Everglades City, Florida in the winters. His greatest desire was that his friends and family be saved, and be together in Heaven.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Kathy; two sons, Marcellous Wayne Kronk and wife Priscilla of Fulton, and Karl Damon Kronk of Naples, Fl. He has seven grandchildren, Alex Kronk of Marion, Ia., Katy, Isaac, Clayton, and Keska Kronk of Fulton, and Jacob and Daniel Kronk of Naples, Fl. Wayne is survived by three brothers, Ray and wife Sue Kronk, Eddie and wife Linda Kronk, and Ronnie and wife Janice Kronk, all of Fulton. He has one sister, Ina and husband Larry Waugh of Whiting, Ia.; plus a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Callaway Christian Church in Fulton. The Reverends Dennis West, Reform Church of God Holiness, and Shawn Snider, Callaway Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be at Callaway County Pleasant Hill cemetery, Portland, Mo. immediately following.

JUDITH ALLEN DYE

SEPTEMBER 23, 1940 - AUGUST 13, 2017

Judith Allen Dye, 76 of Auxvasse passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by family following a vigilant battle with cancer.

She was born in Walcott, Arkansas on September 23, 1940, the daughter of the late James W. May and the late Juanita (Pinson) May.

Judith was united in marriage to Henry Eugene “Gene” Dye who preceded her in death on May 19, 1990.

The only thing she loved as much as her family was spending time helping children learn to read. Judith was active with the Grandparent Program of Callaway County and spent many years volunteering at Auxvasse Elementary. Her hobbies included reading, NASCAR, attending her granddaughter’s pageants, watching the Olympics, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved animals, sewing, and Elvis Presley. She loved being near the ocean so she could see and hear the waves and recall memories of her childhood spent by the beach.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Dye of Auxvasse; daughters, Chicky Taylor (Ron) of Auxvasse, and Brooke Fountain (Lewey) of Fulton; and four grandchildren, Shane Dye, Brandon Rombach, Hanna Taylor, and London Fountain.

Along with her parents and husband, Judith was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Dye Kelley.

Per her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Auxvasse cemetery.
