JUDY MAE VEIT

Tuesday, July 13, 1943 - Tuesday, May 24, 2016

Judy Mae Webster Veit, 72, of Fulton passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on July 13, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Vernon Webster Siegel and the late Lela Ruth (Fisher) Siegel.

Judy worked in Highway Reciprocity for Missouri Department of Transportation. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her son, William Veit (Elizabeth) of Jefferson City; daughter, Vanessa Rae Veit of WA, and Kelly Dye of Holts Summit; brothers, James Siegel (Martha) of New Bloomfield, John Siegel (Becky) of Guthrie, Jerry Siegel (Lois) of Fulton, and Jeffery Siegel (Glenda) of New Bloomfield; sisters, Joan Keeling (Jimmie) of New Bloomfield, Jackie Salmons (Joe) of Fulton, Jean Masek (Larry) of Fulton, Janice Brueggeman of Fulton, and Joy Birkner of the state of LA; grandchildren, Nick Dye, Adia Veit, and Dalton Veit; and several great-grandchildren. Judy is also survived by long-time companion, Jack Custard; his children, Rusty and Scott Custard; and their children.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by infant brother Jay Hall Siegel, and brother, Joe Siegel and his wife JoAnn; and brothers-in-law, Gilbert Brueggeman and Frank Birkner.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2015 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Walter Lockhart officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Guthrie cemetery.

LARRY LEOPOLD

AUGUST 14, 1937 - MAY 14, 2017

Larry Leopold, 79, of Auxvasse passed away at Delta Gamma Lodge in Wellsville, Missouri on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

He was born on August 14, 1937 in Mexico, Missouri, the son of the late Elmer Leopold and the late Nettie (Gotchal) Leopold.

Larry was united in marriage to Carol Sue “Susie” (McDermit) Leopold on May 31, 1959. She survives his passing.

Larry was very active in the lives of his sons, never missing their sporting events. Following their graduation, he continued to follow North Callaway Sports. He enjoyed working in his yard but found great pleasure in simply spending time with his grandchildren.

Larry lived his entire life in Auxvasse. He spent the majority of his working career with Kaiser National, retiring after 47 years of service. He also farmed with is uncles for numerous years and held multiple jobs in the Auxvasse area. Larry was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Auxvasse.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Susie Leopold of Auxvasse; sons, Larry Leopold (Kim) of Wichita, Ks., and Gary Leopold (Mary) of Mt. Vernon, Ia.; brother, Jerry Leopold of Auxvasse; sister, Mary Rose Mock of Mexico; grandchildren, Andrew Leopold (Jamie), Caitlin Knaup (Courtney), Tanner Leopold, Matthew Leopold, Benjamin Leopold, Jacob Leopold, Nicholas Leopold, and Annie Leopold; and great-grandchildren, Sienna and Emmett Leopold.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday May 28, 2017 at Auxvasse Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim Graham officiating.

Jordan Neil Wohlers

Monday, November 2, 1992 - Sunday, February 7, 2016

Jordan Neil Wohlers, 23, of Fulton passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

He was born in Fulton on November 2, 1992, the son of Cary L. Wohlers and Lynn M. (Rohrer) Wohlers.

Jordan worked for Enhanced Lawn Care. He attended Carrington Baptist Church. Jordan was an avid outdoorsman who had a zest for life. He enjoyed bull riding, hunting, fishing, and riding his dirt bike and four-wheeler. He was a good athlete and enjoyed wrestling and bowling with the Friday night bowling league.

Those remaining to mourn his loss include his parents, Cary and Lynn Wohlers of Fulton; sons, Brayden Wohlers and Lane Gerling, both of Fulton; brothers, Troy Wohlers (Rachel) of Arnold, Cory Wohlers (Ashlea) of Fulton, and Leigh Wohlers of Fulton; sisters, Amy Wohlers, and Ashley Wohlers, both of Fulton; grandparents, Donald and Virginia Rohrer; several aunts and uncles; and twenty nieces and nephews.

Jordan was preceded in death by grandparents, Duane and Lillian Wohlers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Carrington Baptist Church with Reverend Jonathan Spurlock officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.

LARRY LEROY ESTABROOK

Thursday, July 6, 1950 - Wednesday, February 24, 2016

Larry Leroy Estabrook, 65, of Fulton passed away on February 24, 2016 in Boise Idaho.

Larry was born on July 6, 1950 in Muscatine, Ia., the son of the late Ivan Estabrook and Margaret (Nelson Estabrook Lee.

Larry was united in marriage to Sandi (Williams) Eastabrook on October 22, 2002. She survives his passing.

Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He loved his family and took good care of them. He drove over the road for 40 years. He loved to fish, bar-b-que, and play with his grandchildren. He really enjoyed when his grandkids would sit in the truck with him and take a ride.

Also surviving his passing are his mother, Margaret Estabrook Lee of Muscatine, Ia.; step-mother, Phyllis Benge of Tipton Mo.; daughters, Amanda Estabrook, Summer Estabrook Garriott, both of Memphis, Mo., Cassie Estabrook of Gorin, Mo.; sons, Jesse Estabrook of Gorin, Mo. Steve (Tracy) Kurriger of Oxford Junction, Ia.; step-daughter, Tina Louise Gallup (Jesse); step-sons, Jimmy Wayne Stewart (Julie), and Timothy Lee Stewart (Jackie Ratcliff); sisters, Juanita Gasaway (Larry) Pat Hudson (David), all of Muscatine Iowa; twenty-seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Estabrook; step-father, Orren Lee; daughter, Heather Estabrook; one step-brother, Darrell Lee.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

LAVERNE E. MEUTH

MAY 21, 1937 - JULY 11, 2017

LaVerne E. Meuth, 80, of Fulton passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.

She was born on May 21, 1937 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Albert B. Luedloff and the late Augusta Catherine (Theby) Luedloff.

LaVerne was married to Henry Vincent Meuth in September of 1955 who preceded her in death. Her long-time companion, Skip Laughlin, survives her passing.

LaVerne was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She had worked for Callaway Carriers since 1993. She was gifted with a green thumb and took great pride in her plants and flowers. Never a woman to sit idly, she was always on the go and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s ball games, traveling, and going to the YMCA.

Those remaining to survive her passing include daughters, Shelby Martin (Darrell) of Fulton, Sherry Lee (Les) of Fulton, and Shirley Meuth of Auxvasse; grandchildren, Vince Martin (Shantell), Jeremy Salmons, Steven Meuth (Dana), Chris Martin (Kim), Michael Watson, Kayla Sorell (Trenton), Haley Moore, and Alesa Lee; and great-grandchildren, Rachelle Miller, Brooke Miller, Kaeyla Macon, Kaedon Macon, Austin Bledsoe, Brooklynn Meuth, Addilynn Martin, Jaxson Martin, Kayden Sorell, Tucker Sorell, and Mason Woolfolk.

Along with her parents and husband, LaVerne was preceded in death by brothers, Allen and Vernon Luedloff.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Father Frank Bussmann officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saint Alphonsus cemetery in Millwood, Mo.

LEO M. "PETE" GREEN

JANUARY 2, 1922 - SEPTEMBER 14, 2017

Leo M. “Pete” Green, 95, of Fulton was called home by his Heavenly Father on September 14, 2017.

He was born January 2, 1922 in Gerster, Mo., the son of the late Charles Delbert Green and the late Ruth (Garrison) Green.

Pete was united in marriage to Ina Mae Anderson on April 5, 1947. She preceded him in death on March 16, 1999.

Pete served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Iowa before he was drafted in the Army in October 1942. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He went to Washington D.C. with the Central Missouri Honor Flight in 2009. Pete was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2657.

Pete worked for the City of Fulton in the gas and water department for over 33 years. He was a meter reader, repairman and service man. Pete attended Central Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Pete’s memory will forever be cherished by his daughter, Ruth Cave and husband Michael; two grandsons, Aaron Cave of Cheyenne, Wy. , and Shannon Cave and wife Jenny of Fulton: one great-grandson, Andrew Cave of Peasant Valley, Mo.; and his nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Pete was preceded in death by one brother, Dawson Green and one sister, Louise Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bill Nigus officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
