Albert "Shorty" Krump

Albert “Shorty” Krump, 92 of Hankinson, ND passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Villa Maria, Fargo, ND. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND with military honors by the Hankinson American Legion Eberhard Post #88, Mantador V.F.W. Post 9317 and the North Dakota National Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 5-7:30 p.m. with a prayer service ta 7:30 pm all at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Albert “Shorty” Peter Krump was born March 20, 1923 in Hankinson, ND, the son of Peter & Mary (Foertsch) Krump. He grew up on the family farm and attend Belford Country School. He then started a gravel business. In 1944 he entered the US Army and was discharged in 1946. After his discharge he returned to his gravel and cattle hauling business known as Krump Truck Lines. In 1974 he sold the business to Ken Krump and but continued his feed dealership for Gold Label Feeds.

On October 16, 1954 he was united in marriage to Doris Boldt at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Mantador, ND.

Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, making sausage, canning foods and watching T.V. He was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church and Hankinson Fire Department, where he was a past fire chief.

Albert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris Krump, Hankinson, ND; daughter, Paula (Jeff) Zietlow, Hankinson, ND; brothers: Alvin (Ellen) Krump & Marvin (Carol) Krump, all of Hankinson, ND; sisters: Josephine (LeRoy) Klecker, Marshall, WI and Donna Mae (Clifford) Hermes, Wahpeton, ND; 3 grandchildren: Brett Zietlow, Hankinson, ND, Melissa Zietlow (Jade Bommersbach), Hankinson, ND & Brian (Sarah) Zietlow, West Fargo, ND

He is preceded in death by his parents: Peter & Mary Krump; brothers: Edward, Elroy & Henry and a sister: Helen Keeney.

Bertha I. Jording

Bertha I. Jording, 77 of Hankinson, ND passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Funeral service will be Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hankinson, ND with Rev. Adam Moline officiating and burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hankinson. Visitation will be Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at Immanuel Lutheran Church. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Pallbearers are Immanuel Lutheran Church Elders and the organist will be Bev Grohnke.

Bertha Irene Jording was born September 3, 1937 in Clarks, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul and Viola Townsend. She was baptized in Clarks, NE and confirmed at North Platt, NE. She attended school and graduated in Clarks, NE. On September 4, 1965 she was united in marriage to Victor Jording at Clarks, NE. After their marriagethey lived in North Platte, NE and then moved to Hankinson, ND in 1989 where they have lived since. Bertha was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hankinson.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Jording, Hankinson, ND; sons: Keith Jording, Thomaston, GA and Jim Jording, Camdenton, MO; daughter: Beth Kary, LaGrange, GA; nine grandchildren & eleven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Paul & Viola Townsend and a brother & sister.

Clifford N. Kraemer

Clifford N. Kraemer, 88 of Lidgerwood, ND passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Gerard’s Community of Care, Hankinson, ND. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Lidgerwood, ND with Rev. Adam Moline officiating and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lidgerwood. Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Pallbearers are: Steve Kraemer, Gene Berner, Alfred Neiber, Marshall Kath, Mark Kath & Earl Kath. Honorary pallbearers are: All His Nieces & Nephews. Special music by Curt Brownlee.

Clifford Norbert Kraemer was born March 22, 1927 in Munich, ND, the son of John & Annie (Stroehl) Kraemer. He grew up in Clyde, ND. He came to Lidgerwood and worked for John Stroehl and Reiny Hoefs and then went to Oregon and helped build Liberty ships during the war years. He moved back to Lidgerwood and worked for the Kugler Ford Garage, then Swanson Motor and then NAPA. On June 18, 1950 he was united in marriage to Caroline Kath at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Lidgerwood, ND. They continued living in Lidgerwood after their marriage.

Clifford was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where he was an elder & head usher and a member of the Lidgerwood Fire Department where he was a past fire chief twice.

Clifford is survived by his wife: Caroline Kraemer, Hankinson, ND; sons: Clyde Kraemer, Watertown, SD and Arvid (Eileen) Kraemer, Watertown, SD; two grandchildren: Lacey (Kenny) Weber & Kyle (Shelby) Kraemer; two great grandsons: Jackson & Levi Weber.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John & Annie Kraemer; brother: Harvey & sister: Lorraine Barnes.

Ramona Valentina Duran

Ramona Valentina Duran, 71 of Hankinson, ND passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Funeral service will be Friday, July 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Frank Family Funeral Home, Hankinson, ND with Fr. Scott Sautner officiating and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Hankinson, ND. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers are: Randy Amante, Raymond Gallegos, Gabriel Gallegos, Rogelio Ibarra, Esteban Ibarra, Bob Saner & Erik Fenske. Organist is Bev Grohnke.

Ramona was born in Los Angeles, California to Mary Duran on February 11, 1944. She went to High School at Los Angeles High School and graduated in 1962. Ramona was a daughter, wife, mother, and homemaker who enjoyed reading, music, board games and spending time with her family.

Ramona is preceded in death by her mother Mary Duran and one brother Lawrence Quintero.

Ramona is survived by her daughter Tina Duran of Hankinson, ND; her sons Randy (Bob) Amante of Long Beach, CA; Ronald (Antonia) Gallegos of San Luis, Obispo CA; Raymond Gallegos of Anaheim, CA; Anthony Gallegos of Hankinson, ND; Gabriel (Kim) Gallegos of San Antonio, Texas; Rogelio Z. Ibarra Jr. of Hankinson, ND; Esteban (Jennifer) Ibarra of Hankinson, ND; plus many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and three nieces.

Susan (Susie) M. Wieser

Susan (Susie) M. Wieser, 65 of Hankinson, ND passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Gerard’s Community of Care, Hankinson, ND, after a long battle with PSP. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND with Fr. Scott Sautner as celebrant and burial at Calvary Cemetery, Hankinson. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2016 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm all at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson. There will also be visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Pallbearers are: Ethan Bontjes, Kenny Eichhorn, Shane Eichhorn, Kevin Wieser, Cody Baker & Randy Wieser. Honorary pallbearers are: all her nieces & nephews.

Susan (Susie) M. Eichhorn was born November 13, 1950 at Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of LaVerne (Bud) & Agnes (Goerdt) Eichhorn. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fairmount, ND. She attended country school and then graduated from Hankinson Public School in 1968.

On June 14, 1968 she married Clayton Wieser and they moved to the Wieser Farm. They farmed a few years. Then both Susan & Clayton worked in Hankinson until they bought their screenprinting business in 1994. Susan worked side by side with Clayton until she was diagnosed with PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy) in 2013. In 2014 she moved to St. Gerard’s Community of Care.

Susan was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Hankinson. She and Clayton were members of the Hankinson Commercial Club. Susan loved to crochet, she made each of her grandchildren blankets and many other beautiful things. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed the family get-togethers.

Susan is survived by her husband of 48 years, Clayton, 3 children: Nachole (Kevin) Kloster, Rodney (Donna) Wieser & Dusty Wieser; 5 grandchildren: Halie & Taylar Kloster, Alex & Joey Boutain and Brady Wieser, all of Hankinson, ND; her mom: Agnes Eichhorn, Breckenridge, MN; 6 siblings: Larry (Diane) Eichhorn, Fargo, ND, Diane (LaDale) Bontjes, Breckenridge, MN, Teresa (Randy) Froshaug, New Town, ND, Gary (Shelley) Eichhorn, Breckenridge, MN, Alan (Karen) Eichhorn, Portland, ND and Paul (Joy) Eichhorn, Breckenridge, MN; 4 brothers-in-law: Terry (Ramah) Wieser, Hankinson, ND, Jerel (Shelly) Wieser, Fargo, ND, Alan (Janelle) Wieser, Hankinson, ND and Virgil Wieser, Fergus Falls, MN.

Susan was preceded in death by her father: LaVerne Eichhorn; 2 brothers: Bruce & David Eichhorn; father & mother-in-law: Bill & Georgie Wieser; brother-in-law: Billy Wieser and 3 nieces: Jackie Wieser, Lacey & Ashely Bontjes.

Jennifer Ann Pankow

Jennifer Ann Pankow, 53 of Hankinson, ND passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her home in Hankinson. Funeral mass will be Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND with Fr. Scott Sautner as celebrant and burial at Calvary Cemetery, Hankinson. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Frank Family Funeral Home, Hankinson. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers are Jerome Mauer, Tom Mauer, Nick Mauer, Jake Mauer, Michael Mauer & Joe Krump. Honorary pallbearers are her friends & family.

Jennifer Ann Pankow was born August 27, 1962 in Hankinson, ND, the daughter of Jerome & Delores (Wasfaret) Mauer. She grew up in Hankinson and attended Hankinson High School. After high school she attended St. Joseph’s Beauty School, Fargo. On September 14, 1985 she was united in marriage to August Pankow III.

Jennifer worked at Le Klippe Shoppe, Hankinson, she then ran a home daycare, was a full time mother and helped with the farm work. She worked at Mantador V.F.W. and for the past 5 years worked in the bakery of St. Francis Convent in Hankinson.

She liked gardening & flowers. She also enjoyed canning, cooking, baking and spending time with her mom and dad. Jennifer loved to play softball and played through her high school years and then continued playing women’s softball. She enjoyed watching FOX news and putting puzzles together.

She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church, circle leader in the ladies guild and treasurer of J.C’s.

Jennifer is survived by her husband: August Pankow III, Hankinson; children: Lindsey (Joe) Krump, Jared Pankow & Allison Pankow all of Hankinson. Brothers: Tom Mauer & Jerome (Linda) Mauer all of Hankinson; grandson: Chet Krump; mother-in-law: Joan (Pankow) & Roger Camp; brother and sisters-in-law: Jeff (Joan) Pankow, Olive Thompson & Jennifer (Daniel) Klostreich and many nieces & nephews; special friends: Paul & Beth Tiegs and Megan & Samuel Tiegs.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jerome & Delores Mauer; father-in-law: August Pankow Jr.

Agnes E. King

Agnes E. King, 83 of Hankinson, ND passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Gerard’s Community of Care, Hankinson, ND. Funeral mass will be Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND with Fr. Scott Sautner as celebrant. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Hankinson, ND in the spring. Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Frank Family Funeral Home, Hankinson, ND. Pallbearers are her grandsons and honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters.

Agnes E. Hentz was born September 20, 1932 in Hankinson, ND the daughter of John A. and Caroline (Kinn) Hentz. She attended rural grade school and graduated from St. Frances Academy in 1950. Agnes taught country school before her marriage to Orville King on September 22, 1953 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND. After their marriage they farmed near Senora and then southwest of Hankinson until November 1989, when they moved into Hankinson.

Agnes was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters and a past officer of St. Francis Academy Mother’s Club. Agnes worked for Sisters of St. Francis as a CNA for many years. She enjoyed gardening, playing marbles and cards.

She is survived by a son: Michael (Lisa) King, Hankinson, ND; five daughters: Carolyn (Peter) Kassa, Hankinson, ND, Cynthia King, Hankinson, ND, Faye (David) Roth, Omaha, NE, Jill (Chuck) Foertsch, Hankinson, ND & Kathy Coppin, Hankinson, ND; thirteen grandchildren: Chester (Amy) & Eric (Carin) Kassa, Danielle, Sarah, Anthony (Elizabeth) & Samuel Roth, Chrissy (Arend) Gibson, Kelsy & Riley King, Tanner Coppin, Emma King, Maddie & Skyler Foertsch and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John & Caroline Hentz, husband: Orville King; brother: James Hentz and sister: Louise Schmidt.

Audrey Elaine Kath

Audrey Elaine Kath, 65 of Hankinson, ND, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Hankinson, with Pastor Ken Adams officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Audrey Elaine Kath was born on November 8, 1949 in Lamoure, North Dakota the daughter of Chester and Eunice (Milspaugh) Maisel. She grew up in the Dickey area and attended country schools there. Her family moved in 1964 to Oregon and she graduated from high school in Portland, Oregon. In 1966 she bought a farm South of Hankinson and moved back here to stay. On December 16, 2005 Audrey was united in marriage to Troy Kath in Sisseton, SD. She loved to garden, canning, photography, fishing, antique collecting and being with her grandkids and family.

Audrey is survived by; her Husband; Troy Kath of Hankinson, ND, Sons; Dean Welch of Devils Lake, ND, Keith Pray of Jamestown, ND, Daughter; Angela Everest of Hankinson, ND, Sisters; Kathy (Paul) Behle of Jamestown, ND, Sandy Maisel of Idaho. 9 Grandchildren; Eric Welch, Dean Welch, Jr, Jacob Welch, Jarvis Welch, Davian Welch, Genevieve Welch, Lillian Everest, Christopher Pray, & Tyler Welch. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Chester & Eunice Maisel, a son; Greg Welch, a Daughter; Lynnette Walch.
