ALFORD, LILLIAN L.
Lillian L. Alford, of Greenlawn, NY, former long-time resident of Yorktown Heights, died on March 27, 2010. She was 88. Mrs. Alford worked as a waitress and housekeeper before retiring in 1986. Mrs. Alford was born in 1921 in White Plains, NY, to Nicholas and Grace Grote; she graduated from White Plains High School in 1939. In 1942, she married Claude (Al) Alford in White Plains, NY. Mrs. Alford will be remembered for being a great baker, having a quirky sense of humor, her endless generosity, her love for her family and having a passion for clothes. She is survived by her son Claude (Bo) Alford of Cortlandt Manor, NY, and her grandchildren Carla Renzler of Greenlawn, NY, Daynna Hebenstreit of Bloomington, IL, Hunter Alford of Daytona Beach, FL, Robert Renzler, Jr., of Kew Gardens, NY, Nicole Renzler of NYC, NY, and Travis Alford of Yorktown Heights, NY. Mrs. Alford was predeceased by her husband Claude (Al) Alford in 2006, grandson Lance Alford in 1975 and daughter Sandra Renzler in 2006. Calling hours are Tuesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, 11 AM, Old St. Patrick's Stone Church in Yorktown Heights. Interment will follow at Amawalk Hill Cemetery.

WEITZMAN, ELLEN
Ellen Weitzman passed away in her sleep on March 26, 2010. Ellen grew up in New Rochelle and was predeceased by her parents Elliott and Muriel Weitzman. Ellen embraced life and loved to laugh. Recently, Ellen went to school passing her state licensing exam to become an esthetician and was looking forward to embarking on a new career. Ellen loved her pets and cherished all of them throughout her life. She will be missed by her many friends and family who were blessed to have her in their lives. Ellen never had a harsh word for anyone ever in her life and was the kindest, most loyal and gracious woman with a huge loving heart. Ellen is survived by her brother, Matthew Weitzman, his wife, Susan Weitzman, and nephews John and Nicholas Weitzman. Wake will be held at McGrath Funeral Home Tuesday March 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Ann Marie Croce
1920 - 2016
Ann Croce passed away at her Home on Saturday, July 9th, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 12 at 10:30AM, Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church, New Rochelle NY. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla NY.

Andrew P. Pavelock
June 29, 1932 - May 17, 2013
Andrew P. Pavelock, a resident of St. Albans, Vermont, and formerly of Hopewell Junction, died peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2013 after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on June 29, 1932 in Beacon, NY and was the son of the late Andrew C. and Mary (Burke) Pavelock.
Andy proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After his discharge from service, he worked as a lineman with Central Hudson for several years until he became proprietor of the Shenandoah General Store in 1966, which he ran with his family until closing the business in 1997. Upon his retirement he was also employed at Beekman Country Club as a ranger. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction and served many years volunteering for the parish. Andy was an active member of the East Fishkill Republican Club and a life member of Tompkins Hose in Beacon as well as a 4th Degree Knight in St. Mary’s Council #4065 in Hopewell Junction.
He was also an avid NY sports fan, following the Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Rangers. Andy was an excellent golfer who once shot his age and he participated in numerous bowling leagues throughout the years.
On September 14, 1958, he married the love of his life, Marie Contratti at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, NY.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Marie at home, his loving children John and wife Kathy, Annemarie and her husband Terry Patterson, Patricia and her husband Ed (Bud) Miyoshi; Cherished grandchildren, Andrew and Dylan Miyoshi, Ryan Patterson, Kaitlyn Patterson and Kyle Ryan; great granddaughter Kennedie Ryan; and Brother Donald Pavelock. He is also survived by his Uncle, Francis Burke, his brothers in law Frank and John Contratti and sister in law Joan Menna and her husband Philip as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Mary DiGiovanni.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit and as a man who lived to take care of his family, especially his grandchildren who were the light of the life.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 900 Route 82, Hopewell Jct., NY 12533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, at St. Denis Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Andrew may be made to your favorite charity.

FOLEY, ELIZABETH
Elizabeth A. Foley, 77, of New Rochelle, passed away on March 28, 2010. She was born on March 7, 1933 to the late John and Eleanor (Cavanagh) Foley. She worked for many years as an office manager for the New Rochelle Water Company. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Economou, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Alice DeVito. Visiting is Monday from 4-8 pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle. Mass is Tuesday 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

HINES, MARY J.
Mary J. Hines, a long time resident of Mount Vernon, died at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville on March 28, 2010. For years prior to her death, Mary had suffered from the effects of two strokes, the second of which in 2005 completely destroyed her quality of life. Mary was born and raised in Wisconsin. After graduating from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, she came to New York, where she earned a Masters Degree at the Juilliard School of Music. Mary had a beautiful coloratura voice. She was the featured soloist at a number of Churches in New York and Westchester. For a time she taught voice to music students at Concordia College in Bronxville. She also taught private students at her home. Mary leaves behind Jack, her devoted husband of over fifty years, and John, her loving son and only child. Friends may say goodbye to Mary at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 10 AM at the Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville.

LEVINE, GLORIA
Gloria Levine, an accomplished merchandiser of women's high fashion clothing in Westchester for most of her life, died peacefully on March 25, in Lenox, MA. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Levine, nee Schulman, was born into a Westchester fashion family. Her mother and father owned and operated an elegant women's specialty store, L.A. Schulman, Inc. in White Plains which they founded in 1926. She succeeded her parents at L.A. Schulman in the late 1950's and successfully turned the shop into one of the finest fashion stores in the metropolitan area. Preceding her joining the family business, she worked for a junior dress manufacturer in New York City starting as a sketcher and within two years becoming lead designer. Gloria is predeceased by her husband, Samuel Levine in 1978 and by her daughter Lisbeth, a cancer victim, in 1984. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gussie and Peter Greer, three siblings, Naomi Barry, Phyllis Schain and Lowell Schulman, and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires, 877 South Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.

SMITH, JASON T.
Jason T. Smith, a Port Chester resident, died March 27, 2010 at the age of 37. He was born October 20, 1972 to Harold and Teresa Maset Smith. Jason was a graduate of Mount St. Michael Academy and attended Westchester Community College. He graduated from Roger Williams University with a B.S. in Engineering. He worked as a Project Manager for Innovax Pillar Inc. Mr. Smith is survived by his parents Harold and Teresa Smith of Port Chester, his brother Craig (Julie) Smith of Port Chester and his niece Leila Rose Smith. He is also survived by his fiancé, Tina Alves of Hopewell Junction, NY. Jason loved life and lived it to the fullest. Nothing was ever an obstacle, just a "bump in the road." Jason's strength, resolve, sense of humor and good nature were his attributes. He had a heart of gold. He was a dedicated son and friend, always there for his family. He was his brother Craig and sisterin-law Julie's best friend. He was a beloved uncle to his niece Leila. Through many difficult months his beloved fiancé Tina and her sons Dylan and Jonah and her family were by his side. He will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
