D'ADAMO, ANGELA (ANGIE GAITA)

Angela D'Adamo of New Rochelle died on March 2, 2008 at Glen Island Care Center in New Rochelle. She was 81. Angie was a homemaker. She was born December 10, 1926 in New Rochelle to James and Genoveffa Di Zenzo Gaita. She was educated in New Rochelle and graduated from Albert Leonard High School. On September 7, 1947 she married Dominick D'Adamo at St. Joseph Church in New Rochelle, NY. Angie lived in New Rochelle for the past 81 years. Angie will be remembered as a loving and adoring mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and especially her eggplant parmigiana. She is survived by daughters Carol Mazzola and husband Tom, Genevieve Burroni and husband Woody, brothers John Philip and James Gaita, sister Vinny Chido, grandchildren Marcelle Burroni Norman, Gena Burroni, Danielle and Tommy Mazzola. Family members who died earlier include husband Dominick. Calling hours are Monday 7-9 pm, Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 pm at N. Cancro Inc. Funeral Home. The Funeral Is Wednesday 10 am at St. Joseph Church. FULLING APGAR, THOMAS

Thomas Fulling Apgar, born August 6, 1967 passed away at Vassar Brother's Hospital on February 29, 2008. Thomas was a Carmel High School graduate, later attending Dutchess Community College and Mercy College obtaining a degree in nursing. Thomas lived in Poughkeepsie and worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Rosemary McNamara and stepfather, Richard Leikert of Hopewell, his father Kenneth Fulling of Carmel, his sisters Lena Fulling of Carmel and Tracy Reinartz and her husband Kenneth Reinartz of Wingdale, his nieces Ashley Smith and Samantha Robinson, as well as, his nephew Robert Fulling. Thomas is also survived by his foster family, Jill and Rick Apgar of Somers; his sisters Victoria and Lee, as well as his brothers Scott and Keith and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 at Cargain Funeral Homes, 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY (845)225-3672, with a Funeral Service at 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Thomas Fulling Apgar to: St. Joseph's (SJRL). GANSSLE, SARA ROSE

Sara Rose Ganssle of Nanuet, NY passed away on Saturday Mar. 1, 2008. She was 23. Born to Irene Elizabeth and John Joseph Ganssle on May 8, 1984 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Sara was salutatorian of PRHS class of 2002 and earned an Associates Degree from Rockland Community College. Sara loved art and history in all its forms and was recognized as an accomplished artist. Her forte was watercolors and she received her first reward at the age of six. Sara was a doting mommy to Jack for their two short years together. Sara was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Schroeter, grandfather, George Ganssle and uncle, Joseph Ganssle. She is survived by her fiancé, Nicholas J. Desotelle, son, Jack, parents, Irene and John Ganssle, sister, Danielle, brother, Christopher, mother-in-law, Melissa Anne Schroeter, maternal grandparents, Lester and Maria Bodnar, paternal grandmother, Irene F. Ganssle and dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends may call Tuesday March 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at the "Family Owned” Joseph W. Sorce F.H. GORLITSKY, ELEANOR LAURA
May 12, 1929 - March 2, 2008

Retired special education teacher, life-long political activist, two-time cancer survivor and living with Parkinson's for over 30+ years, Elie always saw the good in others. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Elie is survived by her daughters Melody Darragh, Julie Lallo and Dawn Gorlitsky, sons-in-law Jimmy, Glen and John, grandchildren Joseph, Lauren and Vincent, and "grand-pets." Lucille Issak, 82, of Laurel Park/Hendersonville, NC (formerly of Spring Valley, NY) died on Sunday, March 1, 2008 at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. Loving wife of the late Joseph Issak. Beloved mother of Larry Issak and his wife Barbara from New City, NY. Stepmother of Mordechi Issak and his wife Shifra from Haifa, Israel. Devoted grandmother of Gregory, and step-grandmother of Sharon, Rotem and Michael. Sister of Evelyn Levy of Spring Valley, NY and the late Lester Levy of Levittown, NY. Services will be private. KOHUT, PATRICK

Patrick P. Kohut a lifelong resident of Haverstraw died on March 3, 2008 at Northern Riverview Nursing Home. He was 75. Born on January 7, 1933 in Haverstraw, NY to the late Michael and Jeannie Jupp Kohut. Patrick was a 1951 graduate of Haverstraw High School and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. On July 6 1958 he married Alma Walther in Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood, NJ Patrick was the former owner of Pat's Men's Shop in Haverstraw during the 1960's after that he was a salesman for All Brands Nissan in Hackensack, NJ until his retirement after 35 years. After retiring he went on to work as a security guard for the Town of Haverstraw at Bowline Point Park. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Alma, his Children Patricia Lippman and her husband Kyle of Pomona and Dennis and his wife Tina Kohut of Garnerville. His grandchildren Von, Olivia, and Nancy Kohut and Hannah Lippman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter Nancy in 1965 and four sisters and two brothers. Friends may call on Thursday March 6, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at T.J McGowan Sons GARNERVILLE. LIGAY, STANLEY J.

Stanley J. Ligay passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at age 92. He was born on March 28, 1915 in Yonkers, NY. Stanley married Sophie (Sokol) Ligay on August 4, 1940 at St. Casimir's Church, where he was a longtime parishioner. He was also a member of the Polish Center Seniors. He was a employee of IBM as a service engineer and service manager retiring in 1975, after 38 years. Stanley is survived by two sons, Stanley Jr. (Renee) of Croton, NY and Dennis (Barbara) of Raleigh, NC, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Sophie (Sokol) Ligay on January 18, 2008 and three brothers, John, Louis and Alexander. Visitation at Duchynski-Cherki Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, 3/5, from 9a.m.-10:30a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Casimir's Church at 11a.m. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
