LANGBAUM, IRVING
Irving Langbaum, age 83, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital Saturday, March 10, 2007 with his family at his bedside. Irving served in the US Army at the attack on Normandy Beach during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the love of his life, Shirley Langbaum, whom he met after returning from the war with his purple heart. Irving has been a resident of New City for 50 years and started his own business over 35 years ago, Langbaum Associates, which is still family owned and operated. He is also survived by his three children, Arthur Langbaum and his wife Stephanie, Beth Schlageter and her husband George and June Ladner. He is also survived by grandchildren Jodi and Gregg Preuss, Marisa and Keith Beddows, Aliyea Langbaum, Jacqulyn Langbaum, Michael Schlageter, Amanda Langbaum, Jessica Schlagter, Gillian Langbaum, Ariel Ladner and two great-grandchildren, Jason and Ryan Beddows. Services will be held Today at 1 PM at Hellman Memorial Chapels. Shiva will be at the home of Beth Schlageter in New City, Monday to Wednesday Evening. McGLINCHEY, MARIAN F.
Marian F. McGlinchey, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. She was 64 years old. She was born on May 13, 1942 to Francis L. and Helen T. Powers McGlinchey in Yonkers where she was raised and educated, graduating from Blessed Sacrament Monastery High School. Ms. McGlinchey was an Executive Administrative Assistant for Reliable Automatic Sprinklers in Mt. Vernon for 20 years until her retirement in 1998. Ms. McGlinchey was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Church. Survivors include her father, Francis L. McGlinchey of Yonkers, one daughter, Andrea Davis-Austin and her husband, Mark of Yonkers, and one brother, Francis McGlinchey of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Katelyn Pinto. Her family said, "Her granddaughter was her life". She was predeceased by a son, Christopher Davis. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Wednesday, March 14th at 10 am. KIRSCHNER, AGATHA A. "GAE"
Agatha A. (Gae) Kirschner passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 as a result of a long bout with heart disease, at the age of 75. She was a loving companion, mother, sister, grandmother and friend as well as a recent resident of Oak Hill, FL. Gae was an innovative and well respected educator who taught for many years at the Midland School of the Rye City School system. She was very proud of her artistic abilities which exhibit both her love and participation in various art mediums. She will be remembered for her love of the theatre as well as a supporter of the arts. She is survived by her loving companion, Joseph Tibbets, of Oak Hill, FL; her children, Toni Pugliese, of Wallingford, CT, Scott Kirschner, of Lagrange NY, and Caryn Alpert and her husband Jeff, of Longwood, FL; her four grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Joshua and Mackenzie; her brother, Irwin Beitch and his wife, Barbara, of Cheshire, CT. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

KISTNER, GLORIA ABRAMS
Gloria Abrams Kistner passed away March 3, 2007. Daughter of Charlotte Barton and Wallace Abrams. Gloria is predeceased by her husband Everett H. Kistner. She is a graduate of Haverstraw High School, Packard Business College and she also took courses at Rockland Community College. She was secretary to the Director of Research at Rockland State Hospital and she had also worked in the business offices of Rockland State Hospital. Gloria was a volunteer at Rockland County Historical Society and a member of E.C.W., Trinity Episcopal Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 10 -11 am. Funeral Services will follow at 11 am. All Services will be held at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery. KREIELSHEIMER, LEONARD
Leonard Kreielsheimer, of Yonkers, NY, died on March 1 after a long and courageous battle with chronic illness. Born on May 17, 1924 on Long Island, NY, he was the only son of Frieda and Monroe Kreielsheimer. He grew up and graduated from high school in Mt. Vernon, NY. He then joined the Army Air Corps and flew a full complement of combat missions over Germany as the navigator of a B17 Flying Fortress. After returning from military service, Len married his high school sweetheart, Doris Breunig, and settled in Yonkers, where they raised four sons. He retired in 1985 after working for forty years for Abscoa Industries of Hartsdale, NY and Astral Air Parts of Elmwood Park, NJ selling replacement parts for commercial and military aircraft. In his later years, Len was a devoted son (caring for his parents into old age), husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by son Gary, daughter-in-law Marianne Walsh, and granddaughters Kimberly and Chelsea of Suffern, NY; son Glenn, daughter-in-law Meg Hertz, and grandsons, Seth and Aaron of White Plains, NY; son Gregg and daughter-in-law Janet Fox of Raleigh, NC; and son Gene of Larchmont, NY. His wife Doris passed away in 2003. Leonard Kreielsheimer was a kind and loving man, who will be sorely missed by family and friends. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association, or a charity of choice. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 5 at 11 AM at the Westchester Funeral Home at 190 Main St. in Eastchester, NY.

LOCKWOOD, EVE
Eve Lockwood, an artist, died on Friday, March 2nd, at the Calvary Hospital. She was 77 years old. Mrs. Lockwood was born in Munich, Germany, on May 26 of 1929. She was the daughter of Martin and Berta Bass. She was a graduate of the Fryeburg Academy in Maine. On September 15, 1951, she married Howard Lockwood. In 1956, they moved to Ardsley. Eve was a devout artist and her passion was pottery. She was a member of the Hudson River Potters, the Clay Arts Workshop and the Westchester Art Workshop. Eve loved nature and animals, especially cats and was an avid gardener. She was a gourmet cook and a devotee of classical music. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by the family she deeply loved and cherished; her husband Howard; daughter Suzanne Pack of San Francisco; son Peter of Thornwood; son Michael and his wife Anne of Ridgefield, CT; six grandchildren: Martin, Warren, Christopher, Kyle, Cara and Keely; her sister Barbara Carbonaro and her husband Artie of Greenwich, CT; and her beloved cat Noelle. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry. A Funeral Mass will take place 10 am Tuesday at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ardsley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Elmsford Animal Shelter, Warehouse Lane, Elmsford, N.Y. 10523. BASSO, DANIEL
Daniel Basso, a lifelong Croton resident, died on Monday at Westchester Medical Center. He was 84. For most of his life he worked at Joe Dymes Deli in Croton, then later for Grand Union. He was born in NY City on July 9, 1922, the son of Salvatore and Carmella Greco Basso. He belonged to the Washington Engine Company in the Croton Fire Dept., and was the company's oldest member, as well as the second oldest member in the department. Recently he was honored for serving 65 years as a volunteer with Washington Engine. He was also a parishioner at Holy Name of Mary Church, where he belonged to the Knights of Columbus. His nephew Paul said that he loved his family unconditionally. Mr. Basso is survived by a brother Salvatore, his nephew Paul, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by four brothers; John, Lawrence, Nicholas and Anthony Basso. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 AM, at Holy Name of Mary Church. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand Street, Croton. Burial is at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Washington Engine Company, No. Riverside Ave., Croton, NY 10520.
