GREENBERG, MARGARET C.
Margaret Christina (Mann) Greenberg, 73, formerly of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2007 in Bedford, NH. Born in Cologne, Germany, Margaret emigrated to the United States in 1953. On August 3, 1956, she married Martin A. Greenberg, who died on March 25, 2003. Margaret loved to have a good time and everyone who met her said she was a wonderful lady, full of life and fun. Margaret is survived by her children, Daniel Greenberg of San Francisco CA, Ellen (Mark) Maloney of East Lyme, CT, Karen (Peter) Gagnon of Amherst, NH, and Lana (Brad) Hurckman of Green Bay, WI, who were by her side when she passed; five loving grandchildren, sisters, Marlene (Cal) Leavitt, Elisabeth Mann and brother Herman (Mary) Mann, all of Newport NH; and many nieces and nephews. A Service was held on January 16, 2007 at King David Memorial Gardens in Putnam Valley. GREENE, EDNA W.
Edna W. Greene, a longtime resident of Greenburgh, died on January 13, 2007 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY, at the age of 80. She was born in Matawan, NJ on January 8, 1927 to the late John and Ruth Woodruff. Edna was a devoted mother to Gary Greene and a cherished grandmother to Nailah Greene. She leaves to mourn her son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, a sister, one niece, three nephews and a host of friends. Cremation and Memorial Service will be private.

HAWTHORNE, MARIE H.
Marie H. Hawthorne, age 88, died on January 14, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Francis R. Hawthorne. Devoted mother of Mary Louise Hemming-Lancaster and her husband R. James Lancaster, Shirin F. Blake and her husband James A. Blake. Dear sister of John R. deWolfe and his wife Mary and the late Elaine Muthig. Cherished grandmother, Mimi, of Elizabeth A. Walker and her husband Edward P. Walker, Heather C. Dunn and her husband Paul A. Dunn, Jennifer G. Blake and Timothy F. Blake. Loving great grandmother of Grace E. Dunn. She was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle in 1939, and was a teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City until her retirement in 1994. She was a writer of children's plays and Drama Director at the Hoffmann School at Riverdale, NY. Friends may gather at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Eastchester on Thursday, January 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19th, 11 am, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Mount Vernon, New York. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to Young Playwrights, Inc., P.O. Box 5134, New York City, NY 10185 or Project Linus National Headquarters (provides love, warmth, comfort and handmade blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children), P.O. HENDERSON, EILEEN (BURKE)
Eileen (Burke) Henderson of Bedminster, NJ, formerly of Chatham, NJ, died at St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorne, PA, on January 14, at the age of 74. Born in Bronx, NY, the daughter of Thomas and Pauline Burke, Eileen married Douglas P. Henderson on July 4, 1953, who preceded her in death in August of 2006. They started their family together in South Plainfield, NJ and later moved to Bedford Hills, NY. In 1981, they moved to Chatham, NJ and then in 1991 moved to Surf City, Long Beach Island, NJ. They relocated to Bedminster last year. Eileen was a special education teacher and loved working with children. She was a substitute teacher for the Bedford School System and taught English as a second language. She was also a special education teacher in Chatham Township. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Chatham. Eileen enjoyed volunteering for the Garden Club of Long Beach Island, Long Beach Island Historical Society and for the Southern Ocean County Hospital as a greeter. Spending most of the past 15 years in Long Beach Island with family and friends, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and was an avid reader. Eileen is survived by her four devoted children, Gary, Sherre, Mark, Matthew and their spouses; grandchildren, Burke, Taylor, Farrell, Justin, Collin, Heather, Jack and Fiona. She is also survived by her two sisters, Marilyn DeLeon of Georgia and Terri Burke of Florida. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 19 at St. Patrick Church, Washington Ave., Chatham. Friends may visit on Thursday, January 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to The Garden Club of Long Beach Island, PO Box 344, Ship Bottom, NJ 08008.

JAGEMANN, THOMAS F.
Thomas F. Jagemann, 57, of North Salem, NY and formerly of Hawthorne, NY, died on January 15, 2007 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on August 14, 1949 to the late Robert and Marilyn (nee Gabriel) Jagemann in Rockville Centre, NY. He was a horticulturalist for the past 40 years and had a love for the outdoors and nature. Thomas is survived by his wife Rita (nee Gedon) Jagemann of North Salem, NY and two sons, Tim Jagemann and his wife Nancy of New Fairfield, CT and Tom Jagemann and his wife Heather of Croton Falls, NY. Three brothers, Robert, James and John Jagemann and two sisters, Linda Elberth and Kathy Jagemann. Also survived by five grandchildren, Justin, Timmy, Casey, Ashley and Samantha Jagemann. Predeceased by one brother Richard. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 5 to 9 pm, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, 10 am. Interment, Peach Pond Cemetery, North Salem, NY. LAVINE, RITA JOAN (SWEEDLER)
Rita Joan (Sweedler) Lavine, 80, of White Plains, New York, died Sunday January 14, 2007 with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Lester H. Lavine for forty-eight years. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of Benjamin and May Sweedler. She was a graduate of Mamaroneck High School, New York in 1944 and attended Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania for a year. She was a passionate knitter, had a flair for fashion and design, and loved animals. She was an upbeat person who truly marched to the beat of her own drum. She is survived by a daughter Melinda Sammers and her husband Rolf of New Fairfield, CT, a son Douglas S. Lavine and his wife Lucretia of West Hartford, a cherished granddaughter Julia Lavine, a sister Barbara Agocs of Prescott, AZ, and three nieces. A private funeral service will be held Wednesday January 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Humane Association, Inc., 63 Inverness Drive, East Englewood, CO 80112. Funeral arrangements provided by the Hebrew Funeral Association, Inc., 906 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford.

LIBERTELLA, IGNAZIOUS
Ignazious Libertella died on January 15, 2007. Born in Cattolica Eraclea Sicily, he was a lifelong resident of White Plains and was the owner of his own business. He was the loving son of Antonino (deceased) and Giovanna Libertella and beloved brother of Angela, Enza and Charles Libertella. He was much loved by five nieces and three nephews. Naish will always be remembered for his goodness and quiet, loving, respectful spirit and especially for his deep love and devotion to his wife and family. For Naish, loving life was loving Mary. He truly captured the essence of life and will live in our hearts always. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home.
