Patricia J. Cancredi, of Cortlandt Manor, died on September 8, 2008. She was 81. She was born July 5, 1927 in Peekskill, NY to Irving and Jane (M cCormick) Travis. She is survived by her husband Jerry for which they just celebrated 65 years of marriage, daughter Regina Reno, sons Jerry (Patricia) and Gregory, ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild., sisters Elizabeth Travis and Catherine Sabatini. Frances Ellen Constantine, 90, a long-time resident of Yonkers, NY and Secretary of the League of Women Voters of Westchester for many years in the 1960s and 1970s, passed away on September 8. She is survived by her daughter Martha Constantine Paton and her grandchildren, Christopher Paton, Joseph Paton and Alexandra Constantine Horvitz. DUNCOMBE, PETER
Peter Richard Duncombe, 51, a lifelong Peekskill resident, died September 8, 2008. He was born on September 27, 1956 in Cold Spring, NY to Richard F. and Ruth Marie Burns Duncombe. Peter received his BS from SUNY New Paltz and MS in Chemical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo. He was a Senior Associate Engineer at IBM TJ Watson Research Center for 17 years, where he coauthored over 30 research papers, journal articles and 13 patents. Peter was a dynamic educator, receiving his Degree in Secondary Education Summa Cum Laude, teaching in Yorktown and Mahopac High Schools, performing interactive instructional demonstrations with children 12 and under for the IBM TJ Watson Local Education Outreach Program and giving presentations, workshops and helping with science fairs in Jr. High Schools, High Schools and Colleges throughout the area. He taught SCUBA as a Divemaster certified by the PADI Society. Peter was a member of KAPPA DELTA PI and Collabergh-Radium Lodge No. 0859 of F. & A. M. in Nelsonville, NY. He is survived by wife Karen Ann nee Marriott Mitchell- Duncombe, son Michael Paull Mitchell and mother, Ruth Marie Burns Duncombe. Rose R. Ferlauto, of Suffern, NY passed away September 8, 2008 at the age of 89. Born March 29, 1919 in NYC to Joseph and Florence Torcivia, she is survived by her husband Julius, five children, Jerry, Julianne, Richard, Diane, and Carol, and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister Violet Auteri survives her. Ralph Anthony Filannino, 77, of Port Orange, FL and formerly of Hawthorne, NY died on September 7, 2008 at his residence. He was born on February 6, 1931 to the late Roger and Frances Filannino in Queens, NY. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Ralph was the owner-operator of EMF/RAF Technical Services in Thornwood, NY. BOETTIGHEIMER, WILLIAM
William T. Boettigheimer passed away on Sept. 6, 2008 at the age of 86. He was born on June 27, 1922 to Eleanore Dunne and Rudolph Boettigheimer. A marine combat veteran in WWII, he retired as district manager from the Union Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Eileen Regan Boettigheimer. He was the father of the late Denise Racine and is survived by his son, Gary, his daughter in-law Mary McCollow, son in-law Marc Holland, and grandchildren Gillian, Alexis, Miles, Carly, Michele and Craig. CORMEAU, MADY
Mady Cormeau, of Mount Kisco passed away on September 7, 2008 at the age of 65. She was born in Belgium and just recently became a citizen of the United States. Mady loved life and was an avid sports enthusiast and was very fond of bridge, mahjong, golf, tennis and pottery. She enjoyed tutoring all her students in languages. Mady was also a very involved member of the Chappaqua New Neighbors A Association and various other social clubs. She is survived by her loving husband Andre A. of Mount Kisco and her children Chris and Catherine. Mady also had four adoring grandchildren Arlette, Madelaine, Rosalie and Arsene. Mady leaves behind countless tender loving friends. The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM.
