Bleuer, James E., 58, of Mount Kisco, New York, died on Sunday January 18, 2009 at the Rosary Hill Nursing Home in Hawthorne, New York. He is formerly of Fairfield, Connecticut. He was born on August 13th, 1950 in Binghamton, New York to Lorin and Alice (Hoffman) Bleuer. He graduated from Vestal High School in 1968 and Colgate University in 1972. Soon after graduating he started a career as a successful furniture designer; his pieces were featured in several popular publications, including the cover of Better Homes and Gardens Magazine. He founded Casa Verde Gardens in Southport, Connecticut, where his love of architecture and landscape design flourished; resulting in a number of award winning gardens over the 22 years that he ran the business. He was also a published photographer and writer for Gardening Magazine. He will be remembered for his love of life and passion for photography, wildlife, gardens and the outdoors. Left to cherish their father’s memory are Nicole LeBlanc of Madison, Wisconsin; Stefanie Picard of Preston, Connecticut; James C. Bleuer of New York, New York; and Julia Bleuer of Fairfield, Connecticut. Jim also leaves his brothers John Bleuer of Wayland, Massachusetts; and Theodore Bleuer of Williamsville, New York; his sister Joan Blomberg of Vero Beach, Florida; his wife Lisa Yokana of Mount Kisco, New York; and his granddaughter Payton Picard. Jim’s legacy includes his approach to life – his remarkable strength, indomitable spirit and determination as he met both the wonderful experiences and the adversity life offered. The family will receive friends at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, New York on Friday, January 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7 to 9 pm. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 2 pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY, 10523 and will be deeply appreciated.

Cavaleri, Frank, 97, a lifelong resident of Bedford Hills, passed peacefully at the home he built and shared with his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Susie Lattuca Cavaleri. Born May 1, 1911, to Vincenzo and Maria, he was a well-known builder and craftsman whose handiwork can be seen throughout the area. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army Corps of Engineers in World War II and landed with Allied forces on the beaches of Normandy. He will be remembered by his family and many friends as a hardworking, loving man with a quick wit and a cheerful smile. He is survived by his wife, Susie, a daughter, Susan Manning, and sons Frank and Paul. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY on Friday, April 3rd from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 4th at 12:30 pm at St. Mary’s Church, Katonah, with internment immediately following at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Mt. Kisco. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317.

Ciavardini, Jean Francis, age 76, of Somers, formerly of Bedford Hills, died Sunday, December 6, 2009 at her home. She was born October 2, 1933 in Mount Kisco, NY. She was as an Administrative Assistant for the Bedford Hills Elementary School for over 20 years. Jean was known for her love of family especially her grandchildren, friends and animals. One of her greatest joys was making sure others were taken care of, happy and well fed. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Vito who died in 2004. She is survived by her loving children, Laurie Ciavardini of Bedford, NY, Michael J. and Kristy Ciavardini of Poughkeepsie, NY; the devoted grandmother of Jack and Amanda Ciavardini and Renee Fancher, cherished sister of Doris Judge formerly of Katonah, NY.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 9 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, December 10 at the funeral home. Private interment will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, The Humane Society or any animal shelter or rescue.

Cipes, Paul Louis, DDS
A full and beautiful life ended on Sunday, November 8, 2009. Multiple myeloma finally took our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dr. Paul L. Cipes. He was smart and wise, good and kind, loving and supporting. We always knew he loved us and we always loved him. He was a true Renaissance man: He loved music, languages, golf, and Renata Tabaldi. He dabbled in bridge, chess and cross-word puzzles. He loved life, his family, and more than anyone, his wife, Bryna. Paul was born on June 5, 1919 in New York City. He went to Townsend Harris High School, CCNY and Fordham before going to dental school and graduating first in the class from University of Buffalo Dental School in 1942. He went into the Army that June and married Bryna Swerdloff on November 3, 1942. Serving as a Captain in the European Theater, he was awarded service medals for The Battle of Normandy, The Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of The Rhine. Upon discharge he settled in Eastchester, New York and practiced in Mount Vernon until 1995. He leaves his beautiful and loving wife of 67 years, Bryna of Somers, NY. He was the beloved father of Joel Cipes (Susan Devlin) of Norwalk, CT, and Jonathan (Kathye) Cipes of West Hartford, CT. Devoted grandfather of Benjamin (Julie) Cipes of West Hartford, CT, Dr. Elizabeth (Michael) Chisholm of Sturbridge, MA and Emily Cipes of West Hartford, CT. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:00am at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. Interment will follow at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Amnesty International at www.amnesty.org

Coletti, Mr. Peter, a resident of Katonah, and lifetime resident of the Town of Bedford, died at the age of 65 on October 16 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He is the son of the late Giovanni Coletti and Aida Norman Coletti. A graduate of Fox Lane High School, he was a proud 45+ year member of the Carpenters Union Local #19 and the proprietor of Coletti Acoustics and Interiors Corp. based in Katonah, NY. Mr. Coletti was an avid golfer and an active member of Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, NY for over 20 years. He will be remembered for his fun-loving competitive spirit, quick wit and passion for life. Mr. Coletti is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Barbara Coletti, and his loving daughter Dorene Coletti Alleva and son-in-law Thomas Alleva of Katonah, NY. Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah on Sunday, Oct. 18 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, Oct. 19 at 10AM at the Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Valhalla, NY. Services will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY. Donations can be made to the "Peter Coletti Memorial Scholarship Fund" aimed at helping high school seniors pursue successful careers in the skilled trades. (Call 914-462-8458 for details).

Crannell, Eeva R., 16, of Somers, NY died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla. Eeva was born on January 27, 1993 in NYC. She was a sophomore at Somers High School. Eeva is the beloved daughter of Rick and Outi Crannell, and loving sister of Kai. She is also survived by several other family members in the US and Finland. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 20 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

d'Arcy, Marilyn L., age 78, of Pound Ridge died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Calvary Hospital Bronx, N.Y.. Mrs. d'Arcy was born in Mt. Vernon, NY. She is the daughter of the late Howard J. and the late Amanda L. (Jacobus) Kimpel.
She is survived by her beloved husband, of 58 years Charles E. d'Arcy. Loving mother of four sons: Charles H., Kevin E., Steven W., and Brent P. Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren ranging in age from nine to thirty-two and three great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Murial A. McGill and Howard E.(Judy) Kimpel.
A visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home 4 Woods Bridge Road Katonah, NY on Wednesday October 7, 2009 from 2 to 5 pm. Religious service will take place at funeral home at 4pm. Private family cremation to follow
During her life Mrs. D’Arcy worked as a secretary/receptionist at the following companies: NY Life Insurance Company, Statler Hotel Executive Engineering Offices, Dr. Byron Smith Ophthalmologist and Merritt Displays Advertising Agency. She was a fitness instructor at the New Canaan YMCA and a Certified Color Analyst & Beauty Consultant for Shaklee Corporation.
Mrs. D’Arcy was a proud member of the Pound Ridge Community Church, New Canaan YMCA, Pound Ridge Garden Club, Women’s Republican Club and the Yonkers PTA.
She will be remembered for being a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of her Church Choir and a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She had a passion for creating floral arrangements for the Church Altar Guild, weddings and other social events. Her artistic talents extended to her art work and jewelry design.
