Delzio, Ann
Delzio, Ann, 86, of Somers, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died and peacefully left this world on December 12, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. Mrs. Delzio was born January 3,1923 in New Rochelle to Anita and Peter Rocco. In 1949 she married Michael Delzio, who predeceased her in 1985. The center of her life was her family. She was devoted to them all, always ready to share and celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, new home, or special occasion. Her passion for cooking made these celebrations heartwarming. Mrs. Delzio resided in Somers for 53 years. The community will miss her presence, as she was loved by all, as a member of the Somers Seniors Citizen and Nutrition Center, Lake Lincolndale Clubhouse, Somers and Mahopac Red Hat Groups and the Jefferson Valley Club Fit. She is survived by her daughters: Barb Delzio and Will Werntgen of VT, Anita and Michael Furbush of NH and Lisa Delzio of Brewster; and her sons: Tom and Cathy Delzio of AZ, Steve and Mary Delzio of Somers, Michael and Alicia Delzio of Somers, Matthew and Gina Delzio of Hopewell Junction; her brother: John and Roz Rocco of NC, and her sister-in-law, Jean Rocco of MD; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and by many nieces and nephews, cousins, sister and brother-in-laws, and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Pat Rocco of MD. Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Tuesday December 15 from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday December 16 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, December 17 at 10:00 am at the Croton Falls Community Church on Route 22 in Croton Falls, NY 10519. The interment will follow St. Joseph Cemetery, Croton Falls, NY. The service will be webcast at www.crotonfallscommunitychurch.com for those who wish to view the service at home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in her name be made to the Somers Senior Center c/o Somers Park and Recreation, PO Box 46, Somers, NY 10589.

DiFiorio, Michael J.
DiFiorio, Michael J., age 61, owner of Charles Point Marine, Inc., Peekskill, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 after a 3½ month battle against Leukemia.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, and their children, Michael Charles and Jennifer DiForio Aiello and two grandchildren, Michael Thomas and Ryan Katherine.
Loving son of Antoinette and dear brother of James and Donna.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, New York 10536.
A religious service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2009 10:00 am at the funeral home.
A private cremation will follow.

Dowling, Agnes M.
Dowling, Agnes M., age 89, a life long resident of Westchester County died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Andrus on Hudson, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Mrs. Dowling was born August 31, 1919 in Hartford, CT. She was the Beloved wife of the late William J. Dowling who died in 1993. Agnes is survived by her loving children: James J. Dowling and his wife Fran of Katonah and Kathleen Colella and her husband, Vinny of Rollinsford, NH. She is the devoted grandmother of Franny Renshaw and her husband Lou of Oakland, NJ; Megan Grindle and her husband, Chris of Voorhees, NJ; Jim Dowling, Jr. and his wife Quinn of Stamford, CT; Sara and Caroline Colella both of Rollinsford, NH. And Great grandmother of Leah Renshaw, Louis Renshaw, Jr. and Thomas Grindle. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s RC Church, Bedford, NY. Private cremation will follow. Dunn, Joan Ellen
Dunn, Joan Ellen of Canton, CT, and formerly of Katonah, NY, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, on October 11, 2009 at the age of 81. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Gerard, in 2004 and is survived by her three children, Peter, Robert and Lesley, and their families, including five grandchildren. Born in Cardiff, South Wales to Thomas and Dorothy Griffiths, Joan was educated as a nurse at Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford, England before coming to the United States on an exchange visa to work at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. During this time, Joan met Gerry and they were married in 1962. They lived in Kew Gardens, NY, where Peter and Robert were born, before moving to Katonah in 1964, where Lesley was born. A resident of Katonah for 42 years, she was active with the Cosmopolitan Club, the Katonah Village Library and Northern Westchester Hospital. She moved to Canton in 2006. Joan will be remembered by her family and friends for her warm personality, gift for engaging conversation, heartfelt handwritten notes and the unique sense of humor that endeared her to all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah, NY, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 15, 2009 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Katonah, NY, at 11:00 AM. Private interment will follow.

Feeney, Richard
Feeney, Richard, age 83, a long time resident of Bedford Hills, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at home. Mr. Feeney was born June 13, 1925 in White Plains, NY the son of Francis and Mary Feeney. Dick was employed by the County of Westchester as a Crew Foreman for 35 years and retired in 1986.
Dick was the beloved husband of the late Adelaide who died in 2002.
He is survived by his children: Patricia Mahoney and her husband, Kevin of Brewster, NY, Richard N. Feeney, Jr. of Ocala, FL, Kathy Feeney, Thomas Feeney both of Bedford Hills, Lisa Yozzo and her husband, Robert of Brewster,
Pamela Lacko and her husband, John of Amawalk, Michael Feeney and his wife, Bethany of North Salem, and the late Francis Feeney. He was also survived by nine grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
Dick is the brother of Francis Feeney of Thornwood, and the late Jean Murphy and Ruth Ehret. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The funeral will be Friday at 11:15 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Mount Kisco. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
FOX-Evon Alexander, 75, deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and gardener, on September 1, 2009. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank; daughters Andrea Jensen (Steve), Kimberly Fox, Alexandra Coakley (Mike) and Melanie Carvallo (Jose); grandchildren Annika, Skylar, Fletcher, Griffin, Morgan, Adam and Lucas; and brother Kyle Alexander. Proceeded in death by her father George Alexander Sr., mother Evon Leight, stepfather Ben Gruntal and brother George Alexander Jr. The family will welcome loved ones and friends at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on September 11, 2009. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John’s Chapel, Route 116, North Salem, NY, at 11:00 a.m. on September 12, 2009. Memorial contributions may be made to The Garden Conservancy, P.O. Box 219, Cold Spring, NY 10516; or the Community Center of Northern Westchester, 84 Bedford Road, Katonah, NY 10536.

Roger W. Franz
With dignity and grace in the presence of his loving family, on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 in Ossining, NY, Roger W. Franz passed away from complications of pancreatic cancer.
He was a devoted husband to Claudette and a loving father to Roger, Jr., Joan Mary, James and Ann Marie Del Favero. He was a proud grandfather to Tristin and Shauna Franz and Marc, Julia and Stephanie Del Favero. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sept. 28, 1932 to Herbert and Marie Franz. He attended Purcell High School and was an outstanding athlete, particularly excelling in football. Upon graduation he was heavily recruited by colleges, on a national basis, to play quarterback. He accepted a scholarship to Fordham University and turned down a similar opportunity to play for coach Paul Bear Bryant. Roger became an exceptional college athlete. He was very proud of his athletic performance but even more proud of the opportunity that a Jesuit education at Fordham provided for him and his family.At Fordham he excelled at the quarterback and kicking positions. In 1952 he led the nation in passing yards as a junior. He was named All-East, All-Catholic, All-American and honorable mention All-America Teams in 1953. Upon his graduation in 1954 Roger held the career school record for the most completions and passing yards. Today his still ranks fourth on the passing yards list. He also led the East in punting in 1952 and today ranks third all-time at Fordham in punting average yards. His football success earned him a trip to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama in 1954, an event he cherished for the many friends he made. Roger was inducted into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame in 1980.
After graduation from Fordham, he entered the US Army as a Lieutenant and served for four years which included a tour of duty in Korea.
Roger entered the world of business after leaving the Army and enjoyed a long and successful career on Wall Street in the financial services industry. He was a member of the New York Stock Exchange for over thirty years. He ran his own firm Roger W. Franz, Inc. specializing in utility stocks.
He was a long time member of Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, NY and the Progressive Era Association in NYC.
He will be remembered by his family and friends for his huge smile, outgoing nature, his competitiveness and his special ability to turn newcomers and strangers into friends.
Roger leaves a legacy of friendship and love to all those that he touched. He was a good and solid man with a strong faith. He lived his life to the fullest. His heart and love will be missed by all.
A Mass will be held in the honor at 9:30 am on Wed., Sept. 9, 2009 in the Chapel at Spellman Hall at Fordham University in the Bronx.

Gale, Gerald V.
Gale, Gerald V., age 97, of South Salem, NY, died Sunday, January 25, 2009, at Northern Westchester Hospital Center, Mount Kisco.
Mr. Gale was born October 20, 1911 in White Plains, NY.
He married Dorothy Smith on March 10, 1957.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Merchant Marine thereafter.
Gerry was the founder and proprietor through five decades of Electric Gale Corp. in Bedford Hills and Croton Falls, NY.
He was active in many local civic organizations including the Katonah Rotary Club in which he had 35 years of perfect attendance. He was an avid boating enthusiast and amateur radio operator.
Gerry is survived by his beloved wife: Dorothy Gale, and his sons; Don of South Salem and Glenn of Tokyo and his wife, Mayumi.
Devoted grandfather of Akari Gale and brother of Madeline Oleniacz.
Visiting hours will be at CLARK ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, KATONAH, NY, on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 am at St. Matthew's Church, Bedford.
Burial will follow at St. Matthews Cemetery.
