Panizzut, Julia (nee Genovesi) died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 2, 2009. She was the daughter of Luisa and Giacomo Genovesi, who predeceased her. Julia was the loving wife of Silvano Panizzut, devoted mother of Silvana (Mario) Malpelli of Somers and Pamela (Silvio) Belmonte of Pawling, sister of Querino Genovesi, Frank Genovesi and Mario Genovesi and adoring “Nanny” to Elizabeth and Jessica Malpelli and Claudia, John and Luke Belmonte. Calling hours will be today, from 1:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00am at St. Patrick’s RC Church, Bedford Village. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Mount Kisco. In lieu of flowers, it was Julia’s wish to have donations made to Northern Westchester Cancer and Wellness Center and Westchester/Putnam Hospice Services.

Penney, Lori J., Beloved wife and mother. Lori J Penney, born August 25, 1958 of Somers, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 Mrs. Penney was born in Bronxville, NY the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Doris Ann (Henssel) Fauser. She was a longtime resident of Thornwood, NY. And was a graduate of Byram Hills High School and Bryant College. She was employed by Nestles USA as a consultant for many years. She was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Somers. Lori is survived by her husband, William R. Penney, Jr.; her sons: Robert and John; her brother, Dr. Douglas Fauser, her sisters, Debi Baier and Cindy Doherty and seven nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250 Dallas, TX 75244

PETRILLO, AUGUST A., age 60, a resident of Bedford, NY, died on August 12, 2009. Mr. Petrillo was born on March 2, 1949 in Mt. Vernon, NY.
He attended Saints Peter & Paul Elementary School in Mt. Vernon and graduated from Riverdale Country School. He received a BBA degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Iona College.
Mr. Petrillo was an owner and partner of Petrillo Stone Corp. in Mt. Vernon, NY.
He was a strong-willed, hard-working man and a loving and devoted husband, father, businessman and friend. He greatly enjoyed the company of his many relatives and friends.
August is survived by his wife, Irene (nee Gavigan) and his sons, August and Christopher; his sisters, Lillian Hauben and Rosemary Sullivan all of New York.
The family will receive friends at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY on Thurs., Aug. 13, 2009 from 7-9 pm and on Fri., Aug. 14, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat., Aug. 15, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Poland Church, Southampton, NY. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Cemetery, Southampton, NY.

Plumpton, Russell A., age 90, of Danbury, CT, former longtime resident of Goldens Bridge, NY, died on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his home. He was born May 21, 1918 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Alfred E. and Nina (Melrose) Plumpton. Russell came home on furlough from the Army and married Cynthia Covey on May 20, 1945. He was employed by B.O.C.E.S., in Yorktown, NY as a School Psychologist for over 20 years. Russell is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Plumpton and his loving daughters, Pauline Thomas and her husband, James of Bethel, CT and Mary Montetta and her husband, Sal of Pleasantville, NY. He was the devoted grandfather of Jennifer Johnson, Nicholas Johnson and Jeremy Thomas he was also survived by four great grandchildren. The memorial service will be at the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah, on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. Contributions in his memory may be made to Deacons Fund of the First Presbyterian Church where Russell was an Elder and Deacon for 35 years.

Schwaner, Emma D., of South Salem, and formerly a longtime resident of Port Chester, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Schwaner was born in Seymour, Conn., the daughter of the late Louis and Veronica (Hudak) Huber.
She married Walter H. Schwarner in Greenwich, CT on September 18, 1966. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rye Brook, N.Y.
Emma was the beloved wife of the late Walter H.
She is the loving mother of Robert Rost of Orlando, Fl., Ernest Rost of Brick, N.J. and Sally Rost of South Salem, N.Y. and four grandchildren.
Emma is the dear sister of Mary Rutledge.
The family will receive friends on Thursday March 5 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Simkin, Carol G., age 68, of Waccabuc died Sat, May 30, 2009 at her home.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband Morris Simkin, her loving children; Pamela Francis and her husband, Dwight, of Southlake, TX; Lori Garner and her husband Daniel, of Norcross, GA and Margaret Simkin and her husband Jeremy Kleinman, of Chicago, IL. She was also the devoted grandmother of Lydia, Zachary, Edith, Drew, Samuel and Lily and sister of Barbara Richards and her husband, Mark of Estes Park, CO. Following graduation with Honors from Oberlin College, Carol married Morris Simkin on June 6, 1964 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In addition to raising three daughters and caring for her husband, Carol generously gave of her time over the years to many volunteer organizations including numerous PTA’s, Girl Scouts, TWIGS, the Chappaqua Swim and Tennis Club, the Waccabuc Landowners Council and the Chappaqua Historical Society.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah. Burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery, South Salem, NY. Eva Mae Smith passed away quietly on December 23, 2009 at Somers Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She always kept her optimism and good spirits. She was predeceased by her husband, Stuart and her son, Donald. She is survived by her children, Lucille (Bob), Donna and Stuart and grandson,Brett. The visitation will be held on Monday December 28th from 3 to 7pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. Funeral Service to be held at 11:30am on Tuesday. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery

Tannen, Sylvia, age 87, of Somers, NY, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Field Home-Holy Comforter, Yorktown Heights.
Mrs. Tannen was born September 16, 1921 in New York City.
She was the wife of the late Sidney Tannen who died in 2001.
She was a school teacher for the NYC Board Of Education.
She is survived by her niece, Joanne Hannrahan.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY.
Burial will be in Eternal Light Memorial Garden, Boynton Beach, FL.
