FREILICH, BERTRAM A.

Bertram A Freilich, 75, of Ossining, NY, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2008. Bert was a psychologist with the Greenburgh Central 7 School District for more than thirty years. Bert was also a consultant with the Clear Choices Anti-Drug Program out of the White Plains District Attorney's office. He had a passion for painting and drawing. Bert was the beloved husband of Roberta (Litwen), loving father of David and his wife Renee, Douglas and his wife Julie, and Andrew and his husband Manuel. He was the adoring grandfather of Zachary, Amanda, Tikko and Ellis and the dear brother-in-law of Diana Pritkin. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008, at 1:30 PM, at the Congregation Sons of Israel, 1666 Pleasantville Rd, Briarcliff Manor, NY.

GARGANI, LAURA

Laura Gargani of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2008. Laura was born in the Bronx on March 7, 1916 to Frank and Elisa Nettis. She married Alphonso R. Gargani on April 25, 1948 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in the Bronx. Laura was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Vernon and volunteered for Lighthouse of the Blind in White Plains. She was an excellent baker, seamstress and an altar server for the 7 a.m. mass at Sacred Heart Church. Laura is survived by her son Dr. John Gargani (Barbara), daughter Jane Hanley (Charles), grandchildren David (Stephanie), Chris (Trish), Scott (Sam) Gargani, Rachel (Matt) Sienko and Joan Hanley and great grandchildren Mikayla and Ashley. Laura is predeceased by her husband Alphonso, sisters Margaret Spano, Jean Gesualdi, Mary Como, Ann Trocle, and brother John Nettis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday September 5, 2008 at the age of 88. Victoria was born in Nyack, on May 6, 1920 to Alfredo and Maria (Ceccaci) Faccioli. On Nov. 23, 1946 Victoria married Sylvestro Goneconti in St. Ann's Church, Nyack, NY. She liked spending her winters in Florida with her daughter Alice. Victoria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the best gourmet cook and loved to be with her family, especially her granddaughters. She is survived by her loving husband Sylvestro, daughter, Alice and two sons, Robert and his wife Diane and Anthony and his wife Ellen, cherished granddaughters, Danielle, Jacqueline, Francesca and Gabrielle. She is also survived by her brother, Egist and his wife Joan Faccioli. Friends may call Sunday (today) from 6 to 9 PM at the "Family Owned" Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc. IMPERATI, DOROTHY

Dorothy Imperati died on September 5, 2008 at the age of 105. Born on July 31, 1903 in Balston Spa, NY. She is survived by her three children, Joseph P. Borlo, Jeanette Latessa and Aniello Imperati; her grandchildren, Sarah Borlo Schaefer, Laura Tosca and Monica Mattesi; her great-grandchildren, Joseph A. Mattesi, Mandy Mattesi, Cynthia Navarro and Raul Navarro. She was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Borlo and Aniello Imperati. Visiting hours will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Religious Services will be at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment Flushing Cemetery, Flushing, NY. JENSEN, BONNIE M.

Bonnie M. Jensen, of Yonkers, NY, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers after a difficult battle with cancer. Born on December 31, 1940, she was the daughter of John and Barbara MacLetchie of Old Greenwich, CT. Bonnie attended Greenwich Academy, Bennett Junior College and Parsons School of Design. She was a Senior Real Property Appraiser for the City of Yonkers and after her retirement she became the Chairman of the Board of Assessment Review. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening. She was the loving mother of Kristopher and Laura Jensen and the dear sister of Graeme MacLetchie. Memorial Donations in Bonnie's honor may be made to Gilda's Club Westchester, 80 Maple Ave., White Plains, NY 10601. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, Old Greenwich, CT. There will be no calling hours. F. LOMBARDI, JOHN A. (JACK)

John A. (Jack) Lombardi, 83, of North White Plains, N.Y., died on September 4, 2008 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on November 26, 1924 to the late Giacomo and Teresa (nee DiPasquale) Lombardi in Newburgh, N.Y. John proudly served in the US Army during WW11 and received the WW11 Victory Medal, The American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. On Feb.8, 1948 he married Jane Willey in Valhalla, N.Y. Jack worked in the family business, Lombardi Service Station in North White Plains, and later became Regional Sales Mgr. of Champion Spark Plug in Toledo, Ohio retiring in 1981. He was elected Town of North Castle Councilman in 1959 and later elected Town Supervisor in 1961, a position he held for 44 Years. He currently holds a position as consultant for the County of Westchester. He is survived by his wife Jane (Willey) Lombardi, his children Gail and Jamie Norris, Lynn and Frank Ortiz, Diane and Robert Kopenhaver, and John Jr. and Jacquelyn Lombardi. Brother of Joseph and his wife Pauline Lombardi, and brother-in-law of Willie Belle Lombardi, Muriel Kammerer and Alma Willey. Also survived by his grandchildren Ted Williams, Kevin (Andrea) Foley, Alexis and Jamie Norris, John A.III, Justin and Jared Lombardi and David Ortiz. And great grandchildren Noah and Cain Williams, Megan and Thomas Foley and Daniella Ortiz. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Predeceased by two brothers Sabatino and Lezio Lombardi and one sister Urania Lombardi. MISLEY, HELEN

Helen Misley (nee Berezny) of Dobbs Ferry, formerly a life-long Yonkers resident died on Thursday September 4, 2008 at age 94. She was born on March 12, 1914 to Stephen and Julia (Slutak) Berezny in Yonkers where she was raised and attended local schools. Mrs. Misley worked as an executive secretary and registrar at the Halsted School in Yonkers for many years retiring in 1981. In August 1933 she married John Misley in St. Mary's Church in Yonkers, he died in 1971. Helen was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and a member of St. John's and St Joseph's Auxiliary. She is survived by three daughters Joan E. Morse of Stamford, Helen Bedford of Stamford and Mary Ann Foley of Port Jefferson Station. She is also survived by four grandchildren Helen Marie Redfield, Debra Longo, Bill Foley Jr. and Kevin Foley and two great grandchildren Christopher and Daniel Foley and a sister Julia Daniels of Yonkers. She was predeceased by a great grandson Christopher Longo who died in 1999. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday September 8th from 2 to 6 PM ONLY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Tuesday September 9th at 10AM. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
