CARROLL, MARILYN (JACKI)

Marilyn (Jacki) Carroll of Montebello, NY, died on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY after enduring many years of multiple sclerosis and bullous pemph goid disease. She was 66 years old. She was born on February 14, 1940 to the late Bernice and Abe Scharfeld in Watertown, NY. After having graduated from Cortland High School and SUNY Albany with BA and MA degrees, Marilyn taught French at Spring Valley and Ramapo High Schools. On June 24, 1964 she married Joseph Carroll, the love of her life. Survivors include her loving husband Joseph of Montebello, NY. Beloved daughter Dr. Sheila Carroll and her husband Ian Glaaser, of Manhattan. Brother Irwin Scharfeld and his wife Joe-Ann of Naples, FL. Nieces and nephews, Gregory Scharfeld and his wife Charise, Eileen Carroll, Robert Carroll, Kevin Carroll Lisa Carroll and sister-in-law Serena Carroll of Montebello. Friends are invited to call at The Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, on Monday, January 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Services and Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in Marilyn's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Southern NY Chapter, 2 Gannett Dr., Suite 1C, White Plains, NY.

MACKEY, JAMES J. "SLIM"

James J."Slim" Mackey of Greenville, NY, formerly of West Haverstraw, died Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Horton Hospital. He was 82. James was born February 3, 1924 in West Haverstraw to Griffith and Elizabeth Mackey. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked until his retirement as a Union Laborer for Local 754 in New City. James was a member of the Haverstraw Council of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Leo Laders American Legion and a member of the VFW in Pomona, NY. James is survived by his daughters Jamie and her husband Gary Miller of Greenville, Michelle and her husband Carlos of New Jersey, Bonnie Ossman of Nyack and Renee and her husband Dennis of Garnerville. He is also survived by his grandchildren Gary Jr., Nicole, Erika, Kristen, Thomas, Keith, Craig and his sister Betty Nemeth. He is predeceased by his wife Jeanette in 1989. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the T. J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, HAVERSTRAW. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:15 am in St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville. Burial and Military Honors will follow in St. Peters Cemetery. T.J. MCGUIRE, HELEN P.

Helen Patricia McGuire of Ossining, NY, passed away on January 6, 2007. She was 62. Helen was born in NYC on October 31, 1944, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence Hunter. She graduated from Ossining High School in 1961 and married the late James E. McGuire III in 1965. She worked for Nunzio's and the Highland Restaurant of Ossining for over 20 years as a waitress. Helen is survived by her four children, son, James E. McGuire IV, his wife, Kathryn and granddaughter, Marissa; daughter, Michelle Palka, her husband Randy and grandchildren, Randy Jr., Katlyn and Rachel; son, Kevin McGuire and his wife, Dianne; daughter, Erin McGuire and her fiance Frank Tosi. She is also survived by her two sisters, Carol Timmons and her husband, Patrick (Jet), Joan Lambert and her husband, Richard as well as many nieces and nephews. No Reposing Hours. Graveside Service will take place at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Hawkes Ave, Ossining, on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 11 am. ARRUCCI, RAYMOND W.

Raymond W. Arrucci, formerly of Ossining, NY, passed away on December 6, 2006. He was 77. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Monday, January 8, 2007, at Moose Lodge, 37 Croton Avenue, Ossining (914)762-0526. Friends are welcome. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anna Mae, three children: Raymond, John and Carel, three brothers; Carmine, Richard and Angelo, three grandchildren: Raymond, Robert and Ryan and many nieces, nephews and cousins. MAIO, ANTHONY "NEEBO"

Anthony Maio, "Neebo", of Harrison, New York, died on January 5, 2007 at the age of 94. He was born April 3, 1912 to Rocco and Mary Maio in Manhattan. He was predeceased by his wife Constance (nee: Flandreau) and his son, Arthur "Danny" Maio. He is survived by his brother George Maio, daughters Joyce Baker and Marie Mazzucca. grandsons Anthony Pecora, Anthony Mazzucca and Daniel Maio, granddaughters Daneille Micali, Jennifer Brancov and Constance Hubych, and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday January 7, 2007, and Monday January 8, 2007, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10:00 am at Sts. BAVOSO, SILVIA T.

Silvia T. Bavoso, 85, died Monday, January 1, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Silvia is survived by her children: James Bavoso, John Bavoso, Ann Marie Enzerillo, Richard Bovaso and grandson, Frank Enzerillo. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 3 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 1028 Main Street, Fishkill, NY 12524. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday, January 4 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 100 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

CASTALDO, FRED

Fred Castaldo, a Harrison resident, died January 1, 2007 at age 67. Born March 5, 1939 to Ettore and Ida (LePore) Castaldo, he worked for 21 years as a Parks Attendant for Harrison Parks & Recreation. Fred always enjoyed the good fellowship of his co-workers. He is survived by his loving sister, Arlene Perazzini (husband Frank), cherished niece, Tina Perazzini and nephew Frank Perazzini, Jr., great nephew Michael and great niece Elise. Visitation Wednesday EVENING only 7 to 9 PM, Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, (914) 698-5968.
