BAKER, MICHAEL P.

Michael P. Baker, formerly of White Plains, passed away on August 26, 2008 at his home in Milwaukie, OR. Michael moved to Oregon in 2004 after retiring from Verizon in White Plains. The son of Wilford and Iva Baker, he was born February 18, 1953 in Bainbridge, NY. Survivors include his father of Syracuse, NY, and sister Ginny Nelson of Susquehanna, PA. A memorial service will be held later at Kairos Milwaukie UCC in Milwaukie, OR. Memorial donations may be made to Lord's Pantry in White Plains. Arrangements were handled by Omega Funeral & Cremation of Portland, OR.

MARTIN, GERARD EDWARD

Gerard Edward Martin, formerly of Bedford, NY; Woodbury, CT; Block Island, RI, died on Sunday evening, August 24, 2008. He was born and raised in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx, nicknamed "Yardy", son of Thomas and Mary (nee McGovern), both natives of Galway, Ireland. Married 49 years to his late wife Anne T. Martin (nee Reilly), is survived by their five sons: Dr.Thomas J. of Grahamsville, NY; Timothy G. (wife Daniele) of Simsbury, CT; Michael P. of Salisbury, CT; Brian C. (wife Carla) of Avon CT; Peter J. (wife Christy) of Darien, CT; as well as grandchildren: Mary-Kate, Ryan, Cameron, Reilly-Anne, Kathleen, Connor, Brian, Jack, and Katherine, Gerard served in the USCG at 17 years of age during WW II. Later attended University of the Highlands, and Iona College briefly on track scholarships, before joining the NYPD. He attained the rank of detective within months of graduating the academy and was later awarded a Special Citation by the U.S. Secret Service for his work. Gerard elected to join his brother firefighters in the FDNY where he served at Ladder Co's 17 and 32, until his retirement. Manhattan College basketball devotee, "scouting" beloved nephews: Martin Baietti, Peter Swanson and Gerry Oswald. He built numerous fine homes in Westchester and Fairfield as owner of Georgetown Construction. He is also survived by his sister, Eileen Panzenbeck. Wake at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St., Woodbury, CT, on Thursday 1-3, and from 6-9. Mass at St Patrick's Church, Bedford, NY, on Friday at 11:00. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Valahalla, NY. Reception at Clock Avenue, Darien, CT, to follow the died Monday, August 25, 2008. He was 68. Mr. Benn was owner of Western Highway Garage in Blauvelt, NY. He was born on October 6, 1939 in County Limerick, Ireland, to Richard Christopher Benn and Josephine Lane Benn. He is survived by his children Jacqueline and husband Gianni, Patrick and wife Kathleen and Eamon and wife Dierdre; grandchildren Patrick James, Natalie Rose and Bridget Mary. He is predeceased by his wife of 41 years Mary Bridget Fitzgerald Benn (2005). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday at St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. Visiting is Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. GRAHAM, MYRA PAULA

Myra Paula Graham (Slutzky), of Chestnut Ridge, NY, passed away from a rare form of cancer after a three year struggle on August 25, 2008. She was born in Atlantic City, NJ on April 28, 1954 to Dr. Fred and Freda Slutzky (deceased). She grew up in Ventnor, NJ, attended Atlantic City High, and received an undergraduate degree from Adelphi University, during which time she lived in Paris for one year. She also received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art. She worked as a ceramic sculptor, potter, and painter. She is survived by Mark Graham (married 1991, paired since 1983), son Noah, 12, and daughter Simone, 10. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, 2 PM, at the Rockland Cemetery, 201 Kings Highway, Sparkill, NY 10976. LAMOUREE, RENEE A.

Renee A. Lamouree, of Tuxedo, NY, passed away August 25, 2008 at the age of 85. Born October 6, 1922 in Tuxedo, NY, to Alexander and Catherine Lamouree, Renee was a graduate of George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo, NY, as valedictorian, and also a graduate of Columbia University where she earned her bachelor in science and master of arts and science. Renee was an RN and a certified school teacher in the NYC schools. She was a great patron of the arts and contributed to numerous charities throughout her life, She is survived by numerous family, dear friends, and valued neighbors. Renee's Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday August 30, 2008 at 10:00 AM ST. Mary's Church in Tuxedo Park, NY. Burial will be private. Friends and relatives are invited on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Scarr Funeral Home, Inc., Route 202, Suffern. LOMBARDO, MICHAEL

Michael Lombardo, Jr., age 52, beloved son of Michael and Marie, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 25, 2008. Michael is survived by his siblings, Louis, Teresa and Richard. Michael struggled all his life with Schizophrenia; yet, he faced life with dignity and courage, and his family is proud of the way he managed to cope with his illness. There will be a funeral service at St. Augustine's Church, Main Street, New City, New York on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 11 A.M. MARCIDO-BENNETT, ADRIAN J.

Adrian J. Marcido-Bennett, of Mt. Vernon, departed this life at Calvary Hospital on August 24, 2008 at the age of 54. Born on August 25, 1953 in New York. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved son Adrian, Jr. (Tito) of New Rochelle, his sister Evelyn of Yonkers, and his brother Clarence of St. Pete, FL. He is pre-deceased by his parents Arthur and Donella Bennett of Pelham. He also leaves behind a host of loving relatives and friends. Visitation: Lee O. Wood Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28 from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Mt.
