Milton "Mitch" Mitchell
SCHENECTADY - Milton "Mitch" Mitchell, 78, of Schenectady, NY, North Myrtle Beach and former long time Poughkeepsie resident died on January 31, 2009 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Born in Dedham, MA, on September 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Alexander and Jennie Mitchell. A graduate of Northeastern University, he was a licensed civil engineer and architect. Milt was also a sergeant with the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Clarkson Engineering before starting his 27 year career with New York Telephone. He then worked at Clough Harbour and Associates before serving as Commissioner, Department of Engineering and Public Works for the City of Schenectady. Milt continued to remain active and was dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Schenectady serving on the Metroplex Board and the Capital District Transportation Commission and Planning Committee. He also volunteered for many organizations throughout the Capital District. Milt was an avid golfer who belonged to Barefoot Golf Course in North Myrtle Beach where he also served on a variety of boards. He is survived by his children: Susan Gertz (Ken) of Bethesda, MD; Barbara Ireland (Tom) of Glenmont, NY; David (Cathi) of Poughkeepsie, NY; Anne Figurella (Paul) of Fredericksburg, VA; Nancy Flanagan (Peter) of Washingtonville, NY; Ellen Jarvis of Chesapeake, VA; Carrie Morettoni of Wappingers Falls, NY; James (Yvette) of Glenmont, NY, and his partner and dear friend, Florence McConville of Schenectady. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, his sister, Sally Sousa, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Laura Warcup and his first wife, Virginia O'Neil Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at the Tebbutts Funeral Home, 633 Central Avenue, Albany, NY on Tuesday, Feb 3rd, at 10 am. Internment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends and family are invited for calling hours on Monday, Feb 2nd, from 5pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Milt's memory may be sent to the Schenectady Community Home, Inc, the Joan Nicole Price Home, 22 Glenview Drive, Scotia, NY 12302.

John Alexander
EAST FISHKILL - John Alexander, 67, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 38 years and formerly of the Bronx, died at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart, FL. On February 6, 2009, God chose to take His angel home after a long battle with cancer. Born in Manhattan on August 13, 1941, he was the son of John and Lydia Rolon Alexander. He was the owner and operator of the K&D; Gas Station in the Bronx for 42 years until his retirement in 2001. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction. On June 14, 1958 at St. Peter and St. Paul Church in the Bronx, John married his beloved wife, Braulia Alvino, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Eileen Farmer and her husband, Scott of Staatsburg and Dr. John A. Alexander and his wife, Phyllis of Mahopac; his grandchildren, Scott, Janel, Lydia, John Jr., Mark and Jennifer; his brother, Edwin Alexander of Brooklyn and his sister, Josephine Gonzalez of New Jersey. John will be forever remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and cherished grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. On Friday evening at 7:15 p.m., there will be a celebration of John's life as his family and friends share special memories and musical selections. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

Helen A. Bard
RED HOOK, NY - Helen A. Bard, 91, a longtime Red Hook resident, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 at The Thompson House in Rhinebeck, NY. Throughout her life, Mrs. Bard enjoyed many passions, among them were hunting, fishing and gardening. One of her greatest passions was making homemade cakes and candies. She became so adept at it that she became well known throughout the Northern Dutchess region for her wedding cakes. She also taught cake decorating classes for years for the Red Hook School's adult education. Born on February 6, 1917, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Cornelia Clemens Brown. Helen married Richard E. Bard on June 2, 1940 in West Taghkanic, NY. She along with her husband lived and worked at Bard College from 1952 until 1980. Richard predeceased her in 1987. Survived by two sons: Robert L. Bard of Milan, NY, and Richard J. Bard of Red Hook, NY, a daughter: Cornelia Fowle of Florida, three grandchildren: Jessica Bard of Milan, NY, Christina Bard of Port Ewen, and Seth Fowle of Florida, four great grandchildren, three sisters and a brother: Frances Tomaso of Hudson, NY, Alice Ward of Williamstown, Ma., Hannah Hermance of Valatie, NY, David Brown of Schenectady, NY She was predeceased by sisters and brothers: Emma Leach, Florence Moskaluk, Mildred Young, Carolyn Brown, Esther Duntz, Bernard Brown, William Brown, and of course dozens of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 14th, 2009 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, NY. Cremation will be private at Wiltwyck Crematory, Kingston. Interment will take place in the spring at Bard College Cemetery. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Saturday from 11 - 1 PM... Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.

Angelina Noelia Batta
POUGHKEEPSIE - Angelina Noelia Batta, beloved daughter of Iris Torres and Michael Batta of Poughkeepsie, died suddenly February 6, 2009. Our Beloved Angelina was only 4 Years old, Words cannot express the grief in our hearts. Angelina was born May 30, 2004, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. In addition to her parents she is also survived by her family, Maternal Grandmother Noelia Rodriquez and her husband Louis Figueroa of Poughkeepsie, NY.; Maternal Grandfather Orlando Torres Jr. of NY.; Paternal Grandparent Lou and Diane Batta of Hyde Park, NY.; a Great-grand parent Blanca Iris Torres-Cruz of NY. Many Aunts and Uncles, Eva Mihalek, Laura Batta, Amy Florkowski, Geraldine Bennetts, Melony, Orlando Torres Jr., Abeliz Torres, Christian Torres, Crystal Torres, and Lenny Vasquez, and numerous cousins. Always remember we love you, although you could not stay, you'll always remain in our hearts, until we meet again our little one. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 4 - 6 pm with a 6pm service at Parmelle Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY. Arrangements under the direction of Robert H. Albert Angelo Cimorelli
HYDE PARK - Albert Angelo Cimorelli, 65, a resident of Hyde Park his entire life, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at home. He went to Poughkeepsie City Schools and was a former City of Poughkeepsie Sanitation employee until his retirement in 2001. Born December 23, 1943, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Augustus and Mary Cline Cimorelli. On December 29, 1994, in Hyde Park, he married Helene M. McDermott. Survivors include wife, Helene Cimorelli of Hyde Park; daughter, Michelle Maulsby and her husband, Jonathan and their daughter, Julianna Rose of Hyde Park; brother, James Chapman and wife, Sharon of Pleasant Valley; Charles Cimorelli and companion, Diane Wilson of Hyde Park; sister, Grace Denning and husband Ed of Hyde Park; sister-in-law, Polly Cimorelli of Poughkeepsie; and many other loved ones. Predeceased by four sisters, Florence Shaw, Rose Burbas, Marion Paonessa, Elvira DuBois, and two brothers, Augustus Cimorelli, Jr. and Joseph Cimorelli. A Memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 all day at the Cimorelli residence, 51 Melville Road, Hyde Park, NY 12538. Burial will be private. Robert V. Doyle
CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE - Robert V. Doyle, 79, a City of Poughkepsie resident all of his life, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at the Wingate at Ulster. He was a Project Manager at IBM East Fishkill, until his retirement in 1992, a graduated of Poughkeepsie High School, served in the United States Army 1948-1952 and a member of St. Mary's Church. Born July 2, 1929, in Red Hook, he was the son Patrick V. and Clara Winkler Doyle. On July 26, 1953, at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, he married Catherine A. Them, who survives at home. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. and Lynn Doyle of Raleigh, NC: son, Gary P. Doyle of Poughkeepsie; son, Christopher M. Doyle of Poughkeepsie; daughter, Colleen A. Doyle of Poughkeepsie; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kristen Doyle of Downingtown, PA; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Meaghan Doyle, Lauren Doyle, Shannon Doyle, Ryan P. Doyle, Zachary Doyle. Also, survived by Edward V. Doyle, brother, of Hyde Park and Virginia Brush, sister, of St. Louis, MO. Predeceased by Mary Lezon, sister. Calling hours will be held February 11, 2009 from 6pm to 9pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at 10:00am on February 12, 2009 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY. Doris I. Fauver
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - Doris I.Fauver, cherished mother, grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on February 9, 2009 with her loving family by her side. Doris was born in Ballston Spa in 1930. On Nov 21, 1948, she married George (Giorgio) Fauver. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage until his passing in 2005. Doris was a longtime employee of Capital District DSO. While Doris lived in Hyde Park, NY she was active in various bowling leagues earning top honors including a 300 game. Doris was a member of TOPPS, Wilton Seniors, the very Berry Hatters, and the Red Hat Society. She was well known for her gourmet cooking and baking and most importantly her heart of gold. Doris is survived by 5 daughters Donna MacMorran and her husband Bill of Ocoee, FL, Debbie Dalbo and her husband Michael of Hyde Park, Diana Brown of Hyde Park, Dori Garb and her husband Chuck of Lake Luzerne, and Denise Fauver and her companion Raymond Charland of Ballston Spa. Ten grandchildren: Jason Takacs, Brandi Heinly, Jodie MacMorran, Marni Rakow, Mindy Stokes, Nikiya Brown, Jesse Brown, Colby Garb, Erik Garb, and Elijah Drew. 11 Great-Grandchildren, a brother, Louis Quackenbush of PA. Several, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pre-deceased by a brother William Quackenbush and a sister Gloria Kinnicut. Doris touched many lives and will be sadly missed by many. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, Feb 11 at Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs. Calling hours will be held from 11am-1pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Entombment will be at Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 959 State Rte 9, Queensbury, NY 12804.
