POUGHKEEPSIE - Michelle F. Jones, 45, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Jones worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie as a Secretary. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Poughkeepsie. Born September 22, 1962 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Marie Harris Jackson and the late Frederick Jackson. Survivors include her Loving husband, Willie Jones, Jr.; Loving mother, Marie Harris Jackson; Two sons, Tremaine and Keenan Jones; One brother, Jerry L. Jones and wife Karen; One sister, Sonya McLaurin and husband Christopher; Aunts, Marcel Peart and Velma Yeouans all of Poughkeepsie; uncle, Nick Freeman of Memphis, Tennessee. Several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by father, Frederick Jackson, sister, Fredericka Mayo, uncle, Robert Harris and aunts, Geneva Bundy, Lucy Etta Powell and Eugene Eliza Harris. Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2008, 10:00am 3/8 11:00am at Faith Assembly of God, 254 Spackenkill Road, Poughkeepsie, New York. Services begins at 11:00am at the church Pastor Ed Jones, Officiating. Interment will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York. Rhodes Funeral Homes, 43 Fairview Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601 entrusted with professional arrangements.

June Doris Loeber
RHINEBECK - June Doris Loeber, 90, passed away, Sunday, June 29, 2008, at the Albany Medical Center. Mrs. Loeber was a resident of Whitter Assisting Living Center, Ghent, NY, and a former Rhinebeck and Red Hook resident. She had been employed as secretary to Robert Marvin, Esq. and as office manager at the Chambers Elementary School, Kingston. She and her husband were the owners of Mill Pond Gifts in Rhinebeck; and she had also worked in the store her father established in Rhinebeck after WW II, Ten Broeck Shoes. Mrs. Loeber was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rhinebeck and The Grace Bible Fellowship. Born January 26, 1917 in White Plains, she was the daughter of Clayton and Florence (Schlinger) Ten Broeck. Her husband, Joseph D. Loeber, whom she married July 19, 1942, passed away April 12, 1981. Survivors include a daughter Suzanne J. Loeber of Red Hook; and two nieces Karen Giangrasso of Rhinebeck and Gail Bamford of Red Hook. She was predeceased by a half brother John Anderson. Memorial services are Saturday, July 19, 12 PM, at the Grace Bible Fellowship, Route 9 North, Rhinebeck. Interment will be in the Rhinebeck Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 West Market St., Rhinebeck.

Patricia A. Bertolozzi
PITTSFIELD, MA - Patricia A. Bertolozzi, 74, of 48 East Housatonic Street, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, July 1, at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Pittsfield, April 11, 1934, a daughter of Joseph F. and Grace Gough Sinclair, she was a 1951 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Bertolozzi had been employed by the Pittsfield Public Schools as a Library Aide from 1970 to 1995. She had previously worked for the First Agricultural National Bank and Marland Mold. She was a communicant of St. Mark Church and had been a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, and sitting on her porch reading. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She leaves her husband, Victor A. Bertolozzi, whom she married June 30, 1962. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Victor A. Bertolozzi, Jr., of Boston, Richard J. Bertolozzi of Melrose, and David J. Bertolozzi of Pittsfield; a sister, Donna M. Sinclair of Pittsfield; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Krista, Gina, Morgan, Isabelle, and Nena. Funeral services for Patricia Ann Bertolozzi, who died July 1, will be Thursday, July 3, at 8:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., at St. Mark Church, celebrated by Rev. John C. Salatino, Pastor. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Bertolozzi may be made to Hospice Services of Western Massachusetts or to the charity of one's choice both in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.

Mary T. DuBraski
TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE - Mary T. DuBraski, 80, of Town of Poughkeepsie, died June 30, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. A lifetime local resident, she had been a homemaker. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. Born Jan. 27, 1928 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah McIane Loughran. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. On Apr. 15, 1950 in Poughkeepsie, she married Joseph DuBraski. He predeceased her on July 8, 1988. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Blaine Duggan, Clearwater, FL; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Carly Duggan, Clearwater, FL, and sister, Jayne Powers, Tarpen Springs, FL. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Phalan. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 5, 2008, 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Evergreen Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

Norma Moranski
BEACON - Norma J. Moranski, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 53. Born in Beacon on September 23, 1954, she was the daughter of Francis J. and Paulita D. Root Moranski. She was a secretary for the Department of Corrections at Fishkill Correctional Facility, Beacon, for thirty-four years. She is survived by her sons, Jesse Moranski and Kevin Battle, and her daughter, Kayla Battle, all of Beacon; her siblings, Joseph Moranski and his wife, Jeanne, North Carolina, Christine Schepers, Beacon, Susan Moranski, Beacon, Francis E. Moranski and his wife, Carol, Greenwich, NY, Peter J. Moranski and his wife, Patricia, Fishkill, Donna M. Barr and her husband, Walter, Wallkill; Judith O. Moranski, Beacon, and Mary H. Moranski and her partner, Bernhardt Schmadtke, Beacon; several nieces and nephews, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, July 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, July 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim's Church, 57 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will follow in St. Joachim's Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon. Donations in memory of Norma may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2678 South Rd., Suite 102, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

Andrew Pavelock
BEACON - Andrew P. Pavelock, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Castle Point. He was 79. Born in Beacon on July 1, 1929, he was the son of Joseph and Agnes Jablonsky Pavelock. He married the former Alice C. Hupcey on July 14, 1956 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon. Mrs. Pavelock survives at home. Mr. Pavelock attended Beacon schools and was a US Army veteran. He was employed by IBM, Poughkeepsie for thirty-seven years until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Council #445, Knights of Columbus and was an avid golfer. He was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon. In addition to his wife, Mr. Pavelock is survived by his daughters, Susan Stephens and her husband, Carl, Ballston Spa, NY, Luann Dough and her husband, Craig, Crawfordville, FL, and Kristen Sowles and her husband, Kyle, Colchester, VT; his brother, Michael Pavelock, Beacon; five grandchildren, Craig and Sarah Stephens, Jessica Hardy, and Eleanor and Abigail Sowles; one great grandson, Mason, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Pavelock, his sister, Rose Marie Wiand, and his granddaughter, Emily Hardy. The family will receive their friends on Friday, July 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Members of Trinity Council Knights of Columbus will meet for services at 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, July 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim's Church, 57 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will follow in St. Joachim's Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.

Carmelo Raffa
HIGHLAND - Carmelo Raffa, age 89, of Highland, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Raffa was born October 20, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Nunzio and the late Josephine (Pace) Raffa. He married Josephine Pagano, she predeceased him 1992. He was retired from SUNY College at New Paltz, New Paltz, NY in 1980. He is survived by daughter and husband; Judy and Dave Paquette; son and wife; Richie and Lorraine Raffa; six grandchildren: Jeff, Heather, Robin, Chris, Ricky, and Todd; 11 great grandchildren: Carrie, Timmy, Reanna, Rachel, Christina, Mchaela, Hunter, Matthew, Nickolas, Isabella, and Cassidy; sister: Rosaria (Sadie) Rossi of Cornwall NY; God daughter: Patricia Van Strander; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, John Raffa, and sister, Jennie Ianozzi. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hudson Valley Regional Office, 95 Schwenk Dr., Kingston, NY 12401. Cremation will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY. There will be no funeral services at the request of the family.
