Charles Joseph Cunningham, Sr
Born: October 25, 1939
Died: August 17, 2015
U.S. Veteran - Charles Joseph Cunningham, Sr. died Monday, August 17, 2015 at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL. He was 75 years old.
Chuck was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 25, 1939. He was the son of George and Olive Gifford Cunningham. He was predeceased by his only sister, Sally Cunningham Cady, and is survived by his brother-in-law, Robert H. Cady, Sr. of Poughkeepsie.
Chuck graduated Poughkeepsie High School in 1958. He then joined the United States Marine Corps and served from 1958 to 1963. His squadron was the first operational Marine Corps unit to deploy to Vietnam in an operation dubbed "Shufly". Upon returning home, he worked for IBM from 1963 to 1994 as a Senior Engineer Manager for Data Center Operations in both East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie. From 1994 to 2013, he served as Executive Vice President for Harris Interactive, relocating to both Princeton, NJ and Tampa, FL.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janet Antalek Cunningham, Tampa, FL. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Charles Joseph Cunningham, Jr. and his wife, Robyn, Tampa, FL, and his two daughters, Sarah Apmann and her husband, Todd, Beacon, NY, and Beth Romano and her husband, Christopher, Tampa, FL. He is also survived by five beloved grandchildren and three generations of nieces and nephews.
Chuck was a lifelong NY Yankees, NY Giants and Notre Dame fan. He was also an avid golfer, having been a past member of TPC of Tampa and a current member of The Eagles Golf Club in Odessa, FL. His passion and love of sport is evident in the generations he leaves behind, with every one of his children and grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends on Friday, August 21, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, with a service to be conducted at 8:30 PM at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
Street level and wheelchair accessible entrance located off Vassar St.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family with Military Honors.
Donations in Chuck's memory can be made to the Madison Dary Donation Fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 12253 West Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33626.

Walter W.D. Heaney, D.C.
TOWN OF FISHKILL - Walter W.D. Heaney, D.C., 70, of Town of Fishkill, died July 7, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. For 30 years he worked as a chiropractor at Heaney & Heaney Chiropractic Center in Wappingers Falls, retiring in 1996. A local resident, since 1967, he resided previously on Long Island. He served in the US Army from 1959-1962. Born May 10, 1938 in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, he was the son of Walter M. and Catherine Plenderleith Heaney. He attended the Mahattan School of Music and graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 1966. On Oct. 23, 1966 in Spring Valley, NY, he was married to Patricia A. Cannata Heaney. Mrs. Heaney survives at home. In addition to his wife, survivors include, daughter, Dawn Baisley and husband, James of Wappingers Falls, NY; son, Sean Heaney and wife, Maggy, of Conifer, CO; and grandchildren, Ian, Lena, Olesya and Hunter. The family invites friends to share the memories of our loved one at Sierra Suites Hotel, 100 Westage Business Center, Fishkill on Saturday, July 12, 2008, between the hours of 1 - 4 pm. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY.

John Dudek
HIGHLAND, N.Y. - John Dudek, 86, died July 9, 2008 at Wingate at Ulster in Highland. There are no calling hours. Graveside service will be held Friday July 11, 2008 in Union Cemetery of LLoyd in Highland. Arrangements by the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 38 Main St., Highland.

Mary J. Halpin-Risole
POUGHKEEPSIE – Mary J. Halpin-Risole, 66, an area resident for 40 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on November 14, 1941 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late John and Vera Schaefer Halpin. Mary was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. Mary is survived by her daughters, Karen Dennehy and her husband, Joseph Alvarado of New York City, Rita Dennehy and her husband, Andrew Jones of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Brenda Dennehy of Hopewell Junction; her grandsons, Brian Alvarado of New York City and Connor Dennehy of Hopewell Junction; her brother, John Halpin of Fishkill; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Risole, in 1996. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244 to support breast cancer research.

Ella M. Lewis
BEACON, NY - Ella M. Lewis of Beacon, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie following a long illness. She was born February 27, 1921 in Princeton, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ellen Whitfield Green. At an early age, she lived in Dutchess Junction and later moved to Beacon. Ella received her GED and graduated from Spencer Business College in Poughkeepsie. She was employed as a correction officer for New York State until her retirement in June, 1992. She was a member of Local 119, Chapter 82 AFSCME. Survivors include her son, James Edward Lewis, as well as granddaughters, Deidre Michele, Jessica Nicole and grandson, Andrew Stephan; her sister, Peggy Jones and nephew, Sylvester F. "Butch" Jones and several cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Lynn Lewis. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 12th from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 1028 Main Street, Fishkill, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

Florence Massaro
FISHKILL, NY - Florence M. Massaro, 85 years old, of Fishkill, formerly of Yonkers, beloved mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 29, 1922 in Yonkers and was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Marie Passaro Russo. Florence enjoyed keeping fit and her main focus was her family and her pets. She was a communicant of St. Mary Mother of the Church, Fishkill. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio J. Massaro, who died January 17, 2005. Florence was a wonderful mother and grandmother and is survived by her three daughters, Camille Massaro of Woodbury, CT, Mary Ann Reilly and her husband, Raymond, of Grantsboro, NC and Cindy Buonanno and her husband, David, of Putnam Valley; and her beloved grandson, Michael Reilly and his wife, Melissa. She was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Fishkill, followed by burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.

Royal D. Ricci
BEEKMAN, NY - Royal D. Ricci, 84 years old, of Beekman, died peacefully at his residence on Thursday, July 3, 2008 from renal pelvic cancer. He was born January 18, 1924 in the Bronx and was the son of the late Ercole and Lena Ratto Ricci. Royal was a forty-two year resident of Beekman, previously of Staten Island. Royal was a graduate of the Manhattan High School of Aviation Trades in January, 1943 and was voted Class Mechanic. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving during WWII from February 4, 1943 to August 26, 1946, during which time he attended the University of Wichita and Advanced Flying School 45D. He received the World War II Victory Medal. He was employed by IBM in Manhattan and then in Poughkeepsie as a Customer Service Engineer from 1952 until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Mid-Hudson Radio Control Society, Inc. during the 1970's. On June 23, 1962, at the Vanderbilt Avenue Moravian Church, he married Muriel Agnes Fenty. Mrs. Ricci predeceased him on March 31, 2003. Royal is survived by his beloved son, Royal D. Ricci, Jr. of Beekman; three nephews, Thomas P. Wharton, Jr. of Farmingville, NY, Royal M. Wharton of Manhattan and Walter LeBlanc, Jr. of Chester, NY; two nieces, Eileen Gregorio of Lincolnshire, IL and Kathy LeBlanc of Staten Island; two brother-in-laws, Walter LeBlanc of Staten Island and Thomas P. Wharton, Sr. of Valley Stream, NY. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 11th from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 900 Rt. 82, Hopewell Junction. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in LaGrangeville Cemetery.
