HILD, ALFRED H.

Alfred H. Hild, 90, of Purdys formerly of Valhalla, NY died Friday, February 26, 2010 at home. He was predeceased by his first wife, June Hild in 1978, and his second wife, Marie in 2009. He served in the Army during World War II. He was employed by Curtis Instruments, Mt. Kisco, NY He was a member of the Somers VFW Post. Alfred is survived by his daughter: Allison Hild of Pleasant Valley, NY and his son: John Hild of San Diego, CA. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 3 from 10:00AM to11:00 AM at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. With the funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 11:00 AM Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's own choice.

RODRIGUEZ, JUAN B.

Juan B. Rodriguez of Clifton Park, N.Y. died on January 9, 2005 at the Westchester Medical Center. Juan was born in Rincon, Puerto Rico on July 1, 1929 to Thomas and Petra Caro Rodriguez. He was the owner of Timo’s Burgers in the Bronx. Juan is survived by his wife, Rita, sons Jose, Hector, Juan Jr., Albert, daughters Pura Milano, Brunlinda Guzman, Rita Toro, Maria Crespo, brothers Carlos and Albert, sisters Lidia, Lucy, Eva and Cece, 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will be reposing January 12, 2005 from 7-9PM and January 13, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Mass of Christian burial January 14, 2005 at 11AM at St. Ann’s Church, burial at Dale Cemetery.

MILLER, EVA

Eva Miller of Ossining died January 10, 2005 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was born in Uruguay on August 31, 1932 to Marcelino and Maria Melendres Hounie. Eva retired several years ago from Nursing. Her funeral arrangements were handled privately.

NIEVES, VERN (MATTHEWS)

Vern (Matthews) Nieves died on January 4, 2005 from cancer at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in North Tarrytown on August 30, 1960. Vern was involved with DiRocco Tapperettes 1st Tap dancing group. She was also involved in a singing group with Robert Small. They performed in various Senior Citizen Homes. Vern was also a Pre-K teacher. She is survived by her mother, Marian Matthews, husband George Nieves, daughter Gloria Matthews, sons Carlos Matthews and Stefan Nieves. She will be reposing January 6, 2005 at LEACH & THOMAS, INC. from 6–9 PM where services will be held January 7, 2005 at 11 AM, burial to follow at Dale Cemetery.

FAIELLA, JOHN FRANCIS

John Francis Faiella of Ossining died on January 2, 2005. He was born in Ossining on March 29, 1919 to Luigi and Antoniette Longobardo Faiella. John served in the U.S. Army during WWII where he became a disabled veteran. John is survived by his wife, Lucy, daughters Joanna (Roberto) Fabbri of Ossining and Clara (Angelo) Fabbri of Mahopac, grandchildren Angela Perricone, Paolo, Enrico and Michele Fabbri, great-grandchildren Anthony & Dominic Perricone, sisters Rose Groff and Lucy Todisco and step-brother Sammy DiPillo. He was pre-deceased by brothers Louie, Frank, Charlie and Albert and sister Viola Polcari. He will be reposing today January 4, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday January 5, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Ann’s Church, burial at St. Augustine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to O.V.A.C., 8 Clinton Avenue Ossining, N.Y. 10562 appreciated.

SZUCS, MARIA

Maria Szucs died peacefully at home on January 1, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Debrecen, Hungary on January 4, 1941. Maria worked several years for General Motors in North Tarrytown. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Yarasavich and grandson Bobby Yarasavich. Funeral arrangements were held privately.

CALDWELL, ROBERT LEE

Robert Lee Caldwell of Croton died on December 29, 2004 at Northern Westchester Hospital. He was born in Charleston, W.V. on May 31, 1931 to Buster and Alchie Gibson Caldwell. Robert was a musician. He also worker for the Helen Keller Foundation and American Foundation for the Blind in New York City. His arrangements were handled privately.

HANLEY, ANNE A.

Anne A. Hanley, a longtime resident of New Rochelle and formerly of Hurley, died on February 27, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was 70 years-old. Mrs. Hanley was born on January 6, 1940 in the Bronx to the late Eugene and Adele Warren Forkin. Mrs. Hanley was loving wife to Joseph M. Hanley. Joe and Anne were married at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in City Island on December 29, 1962. Mrs. Hanley was a member of the Morris Yacht and Beach Club on City Island and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle. Anne Hanley was a devoted mother to her six children, Veronica Rivera and her husband Greg, Helene Leys and her husband George, Mary Kay Wynne and her husband Sean, Joseph M. Hanley Jr., Thomas J. Hanley and his wife June, and Seamus B. Hanley. Mrs. Hanley will be remembered as a vibrant compassionate woman, who was a loyal friend to many. Her light and humorous heart will be missed, but will live on in her 19 grandchildren. Visiting Tuesday & Wednesday 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY. Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:30AM at Blessed Sacrament Church on the corner of Centre Ave. and Shea Pl. Interment at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
