Marie Gaetani
TOWN OF WAPPINGER - Marie Gaetani, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 61. Daughter of the late James and Rose Bagnera DelGiudice, she was born November 12, 1946 in the Bronx. Marie married the love of her life, Frank J. Gaetani on September 9, 1967 at Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx; Mr. Gaetani survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Marie was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. She also enjoyed floral design. Most importantly, she was a wife and mother, providing a warm and loving home for her family. In addition to her husband of forty years, Frank J. Gaetani, she is survived by her children, Camille Zengen and her husband, Michael of Pleasant Valley and Frank Gaetani, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Wappingers Falls; her four grandchildren, Chelsea Marie, Collin, Anthony and Nicholas; her brother, John DelGiudice; her sister, Camille Dellapi; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Family will receive their friends on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Monday, July 28 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.

DorothyAnn Gardner
KINGSTON - DorothyAnn Gardner, 79, of Kingston, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at her home. She is the wife of the late Edward D. Gardner. Survivors include her two daughters, Diane Reilly and her husband, Michael of Kingston; Eileen Hargrove and her husband, Michael of Clinton Corners; and a brother, Nicholas Reis and his wife, Joan of Kingston. Complete obituary information and funeral arrangements will be announced by Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, 27 Smith Ave., Kingston.

David Michael Reilly
KINGSTON - David Michael Reilly, 30, of Kingston, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008. David was born on July 22, 1977 in Kingston, the son of Michael J. Reilly and Diane E. Gardner Reilly of Kingston. A graduate of John A Coleman High School he attended Marist College Poughkeepsie. He was a sales representative for The Combined Insurance Company. In prior years of his life, he was employed in local Pizzeria's and at the former Steven's Restaurant. He relocated to Dillon, Colorado where he competed in extreme snow boarding. He also was a snowboard instructor. David enjoyed almost all sports, he was a scratch bowler, he enjoyed golf, the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He played softball in City Softball leagues. Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Marc J. Reilly of Kingston; paternal grandparents, Phillip and Bonnita Reilly of Town of Ulster; maternal grandmother, DorothyAnn Gardner of Kingston; great uncle and aunt, Nick and Joan Reis of Kingston; and many aunts, an uncle and nieces. His maternal grandfather, Edward Gardner predeceased him. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston. The funeral procession will form Monday at 11 a.m. at the Joseph V Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Damis at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Hurley Cemetery.

Ann Schwarzbart
FISHKILL - Ann Schwarzbart, 71, of Fishkill, NY, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Ann was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Julius and Adelaide Holsbeke. Ann was a graduate of Assumption High school in Detroit, MI, and obtained a degree in Business Administration from DCC while raising her three girls. She was the owner and operator of Ann T. Schwarzbart Real Estate. She was a member of the New York State board of Realtors and the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. For the past thirteen years she worked as the bookkeeper for Hatfield Metal Fabrication Inc. of Poughkeepsie. She is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who humbly enjoyed sharing the sports victories and educational accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a lifelong lover of animals who enjoyed the unconditional love of her dogs and cats. She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Palaia of Fairfield, Connecticut and her husband Joseph; Linda Steinfeld of Champlain, New York, and her husband William; and Elizabeth McGee of Wappingers Falls, New York, and her husband Steven; seven grandchildren, Michael and Richard Palaia; Christopher, Patrick, and Matthew McGee; and Adelaide and Jacob Steinfeld. She was predeceased by her late husband Edward Schwarzbart as well as her brother, Robert Holsbeke. No formal funeral service will be held. Instead a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at her home on August 2nd at 4pm. Any offerings or donations can be sent to "A Smoke Free America" in her memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert Auchmoody Funeral Home in Fishkill.

Joseph P. Vogel
PAWLING - Joseph P. Vogel, 22, a life-long resident of Pawling, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. A student at Apple Valley Rehab Program, Poughkeepsie, he was born on November 10, 1985 in White Plains, NY, and was the son of Joseph and Toni Ann (Paratore) Vogel. Joseph was much loved by his family, including his uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many friends. He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Nicholas and Derek Vogel, both at home; three sisters, Amanda Vogel of Verbank, NY, and Jamie and Sarah Vogel, at home; his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Scheid of Dover Plains, NY; and his paternal grandfather, Philip Vogel of Ossining, NY; and his service co-coordinator, Ellen, of New Horizons Resources, Poughkeepsie, NY. Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM at St. John's Church, Pawling. Burial will follow at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Route 9, Fishkill, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to either Apple Valley Rehab Programs, 407 Manchester Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 or New Horizons Resources, 21 Van Wagner Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

Alice Marie Wager
CLINTONDALE - Alice Marie Wager, loving wife of the belated Isaiah Wager and mother, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. She was 71. Born May 1, 1937 in Ardmore, OK to William Long and Gladis Tillie. On Sept. 28, 1957, she married her true love Isaiah Wager Jr. Together they raised four children, Renda Wager-Robinson of Tamarac, FL; Gerald Wager of Hillsbough, NC; Ronald Wager of Highland; and Debra Greco of Tamarac, FL. She was a grandmother of 10 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 7 and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wager was a 39 year founding member of Clintondale Auxiliary and a member of the Clintondale Fire Department. She was an active mom, participating in the Valentine Drum and Bugle Corp. and always helping out with the community. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, July 28 at Clintondale Community Church, Crescent Ave., Clintondale. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Clintondale Auxiliary. We will miss you mom.

Alexander G. Heller
MILLERTON - Alexander G. Heller, 78, a 23 year resident of Millerton, and a long time resident of Hopewell Junction, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT, after a long illness. Born Oct. 26, 1929 in Yonkers, she was the son of the late Gaza and Elizabeth Boytos Heller. He was raised and worked on the family fruit farm in Germantown and with his parents and brothers, operated Hellers Farmstand; the farm still being operated. Mr. Heller graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany in 1946 and Sampson College in Buffalo in 1950. Upon his graduation, he serve in the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot flying F-84s from 1951 to 1955. In 1957, he began a 44 year career as a commercial airline pilot with United Airlines until his retirement in 2001. On June 30, 1957, in Landsford, PA, he married Agnes Babinetz, who predeceased him in 1988. Survivors include his wife, Judith Barteau Heller of Millerton; two sons, Alexander J. Heller of Germantown and Kenneth Heller and his wife, Sara and daughter, Emma also of Germantown. In addition, he leaves two brothers, John Heller and his wife, Ceclia of Rhinebeck and Frank Heller and his wife, Sharon of Shenevus, NY; and his nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Valentine Funeral Home, Park Ave., Millerton on Tuesday, July 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., On Wednesday, July 30, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, Church St., Millerton, by Fr. John Durkin. Interment with military honors, will follow at Linlithgo Cemetery, Linlithgo, NY. Those who so desire, may contribute in memory of Mr. Heller, to the Millerton Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, Millerton, NY 12546.
