CESTONE, CAMILLE

Camille Cestone of Eastchester, passed away on April 15, 2009. Camille was born in Mt. Vernon on March 20, 1923 to Orazio and Mary Moffa. She was educated in Mt. Vernon And graduated AB Davis High School. On March 27, 1949 she married Mario Cestone. Camille had a amazing love for children. She was a foster mother, taking care of infants and toddlers. She loved and nurtured them until they were adopted. Besides her husband, Mario, of 60 years, Camille is survived by her daughters Janet Peragine and Susanann Attina, two sisters Danetta Cruze and Viola D'Amato, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian passed away on April 12, 2009. Mr. Cicco was born September 25, 1920 in Port Chester, NY to Saverio and Frances Cicco. He worked at the RB&W Boltworks until he enlisted in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was honorably discharged in December 1945, having served with the 389th Bomber Group in the Army Air Force offensive over Europe in WWII. He was awarded the European African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Good conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal. Following discharge, he was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans Association, holding several executive positions including Deputy Chief of Staff of the New York DAV. He was a retired carpenter and member of the Carpent ers and Joiners of America Local Union #11. He also was an avid golfer. He resided between residences in Port Chester, NY and Pompano Beach Florida. Mr. Cicco is predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Nellie Kalvaitis Cicco of Hemphill, W.VA and brothers, Rocco and Anthony and his sister Lena. He is survived by his children Carla Cicco and husband Timothy Shoh of Hillsdale, NJ, Joseph S. Cicco of Port Chester, NY and Frances Powell and her husband Michael of Syracuse, NY and three grandchildren Christian, Candace and Calvary. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Felix and Josephine Russo of Port Chester, NY and nieces, nephews, a grandniece and great grandniece. Family may receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home Friday, 3:008:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Church Port Chester, NY Saturday 10:00AM. COSGROVE, EILEEN

Eileen Cosgrove, 92, a long-time resident of Yon kers, died Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. Born Eileen Boyle, in County Mayo, Ireland, Mrs. Cosgrove came to the US in 1928 settling with her Aunt, Catherine Kirrane. She married Michael Cosgrove in 1938 and, together, they owned and operated Club Cosgrove, a popular South Yonkers restaurant and bar until their retirement in 1979. They moved to Virginia in 2000. Mrs. Cosgrove was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Mike, two sons, Michael and Thomas and granddaughter, Mary Catherine. She is survived by her son, John, of Peekskill, NY and daughters, Eileen (John) of Warrenton, VA and Kathleen (John) of Aquia Harbor, VA, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of America.

DAVIES, VIOLETTE

Violette Davies, (nee Vogt) of Tappan. Passed away April 14. She was 90, a lifelong Rockland resident. She worked for Dr. Looser of Nyack for over 25 years. Worked until 1999 at Dominican College in Orangeburg. Survived by her three sons Gary of Arizona, James of Idaho, Michael of New Jersey, and their Families. Born in New Rochelle, New York, raised in The Bronx, New York and living for many years in Yonkers, New York, Pat retired to his beloved mountains of the Adiron dacks in 1999. He was a disabled Korean War Veteran, having earned a Purple Heart, and Bronze Star during his stint in the US Army. He is survived by his daughter Lora Carch and son-in-law James Carch of Vero Beach, FL., his brother Vincent Dellapi Sr. and wife Arlene Baldino of Pt. St. Lucie, FL, and two grandsons, David Carch of Grand Junction, CO and Michael Carch of Vero Beach, FL. Erika Dolce, a longtime Yonkers resident died Tuesday, April 14, 2009. She was 86 years old. She was the loving wife of Vincent and the beloved mother of Laurie (and Jerry) Landry and Ron (and Pat) Dolce. Cherished grandmother of Heather, Eric, and Zac. EKBOM, EILEEN T.

August 26, 1934 - April 14, 2009 Eileen T. Ekbom, a longtime resi dent of Garnerville, NY, entered into rest Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 74. The daughter of John and Eileen Waugh, she was born August 26, 1934 in New York City. She was a graduate of Cathedral High Class of 1952. Eileen married William R. Ekbom in January 1957. Shortly after Eileen and Bill moved from New York City to the wilds of Rockland County to raise their young family. Eileen worked at Helen Hayes Hospital and retired after 26 years. She loved to spend her summers at Lavallette at the Jersey Shore. After retiring Eileen and Bill wintered in Naples, FL with family and friends. Eileen loved to read, play Bingo and was known to make an occasional trip to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Survivors include William, her beloved husband of 52 years. Her son Steven and his children Steven and Jaclyn, her daughter Kathleen Rahl and her husband Mark and granddaughter Kristin Marie. Eileen is survived by her brother George Waugh, her sister Julia Lynch and her husband Brendan and her brother-in-law C.R. Bridges. She is predeceased by her sisters Peggy Bridges and Patricia Treanor. She also has 20 nieces and nephews and numer ous friends. Calling hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Higgins Funer al Home, New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 AM at St. Augus tine's Church, New City, NY. FITTABILE, MARIA C.

Maria C. Fittabile died on March 19, 2009 in Boynton Beach, FL. She was born on September 25, 1920 in Italy and lived most of her life in Ossining, NY. Maria is survived by her nieces Lillian Bruno of Boynton Beach, FL and Joann Dymes of Crotonon-Hudson, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Carlo Fittabile in 2006. A graveside ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM on April 18, 2009 at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

FUNICELLO, ANTHONY

Anthony Funicello, 87, formerly of New Rochelle, passed away on April 12, 2009. He was born on January 4, 1922 to the late William and Emilia Funicello. He married his beloved wife Clementine on June 1, 1947 after serving his country during World War II in the United States Army. He worked for many years at the Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, NY. He is survived by his children Linda Funicello and Maryellen (Michael) Kardias, his grandchildren Lori (Antonio) Lepore-Paternostro, Cassandra and Nicole Kardias, and his great grandchildren Alexa and Ava Lepore-Paternostro. Also sur vived by his brother John Chirchella and his sisters Phyllis Tortorhi and Anna Clairmont. He is predeceased by his brother James Funicello, and his sister Pamela Parks. There will be a memorial mass at Blessed Sacra ment Church on Friday at 10:30 am. Interment will be private.
