Elmer "Pete" McConaghy
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL - Elmer "Pete" McConaghy, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Pleasant Valley, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice; his sons, Don & David; his daughter, Diane of Lyn Haven, FL; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Mr. McConaghy had been employed at Mid-Hudson Oil and retired from Dutchess Quarry of Pleasant Valley. A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey. Interment with military honors, will follow at Florida Cemetery.

John William McFadden
LAGRANGEVILLE - John William McFadden, 79, a resident of LaGrangeville, since 1983 and formerly of New Rochelle, died on Monday, August 18, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie due to complications from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on June 23, 2008. Born on September 17, 1928 in Manhattan, he was the son of John Patrick McFadden and Kathleen Fitzgerald. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army Military Police during World War II and was employed as the Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management and Adjunct Professor of Facilities Management at Iona College in New Rochelle until his retirement. He also worked for many years for the Maryknoll Sisters and Fathers of Ossining. He was a parishioner of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, LaGrangeville where he has been actively involved in the building of their new church. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Knights of Columbus. On January 7, 1950 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Manhattan, he married Mary Jane Brown who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Jane L. Pagnanella and her husband, Stephen of Hopewell Junction, John T. McFadden and his wife, Marguerite of Pleasant Valley, Mary Ellen Jamison and her husband, William of Montgomery, Peter G. McFadden and his wife, Marianne of LaGrangeville and Kathleen A. Shute and her husband, Stephen of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason, Sarah, Shannon, Sara, Kaitlyn, Jacklyn, Peter, John and Emily; his great-granddaughters, Kylie and Nicolette; his sisters, Frances Periera, Margaret Lee, Rosemary Campbell, Kathleen Mezes and Patricia Bell, all of Connecticut; his brothers, Edward McFadden of LaGrangeville, and William and Desmond McFadden of Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Steven J. McFadden, on May 16, 1977. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church Building Fund, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville, NY 12540.

Ann M. Ricci
FISHKILL - Ann M. Ricci, of Fishkill, entered into rest Monday, August 18, 2008 at home, surrounded by her family. She was 82. Daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Fasana Morrongiello, she was born on February 10, 1926 in Brooklyn. She married the love of her life, Henry V. Ricci, Sr. on April 3, 1948 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Brooklyn; Mr. Ricci survives at home. Mrs. Ricci worked as an executive secretary for 27 years at IBM in East Fishkill, until her retirement. While there, she became a member of the Quarter Century Club. In her spare time, Ann loved to bowl and work in her garden. She was also a very religious person; locally she was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Fishkill. In addition to her loving husband, Hank, of sixty years, she is survived by her sons, Henry V. Ricci, Jr. and his wife, Fern of Wappingers Falls, and James H. Ricci and his fiancée, Kathy M. Williams of Wappingers Falls; her brothers, Alexander Morrongiello of Miami, FL, Michael Morrongiello and his wife, Ann of Bethpage, Anthony Morrongiello and his wife, Ceil of West Palm Beach, FL, and Joseph Morrongiello and his wife, Phyllis of Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren, Nina, Thomas, Stephen and Jonathan; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Jackson Street in Fishkill. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Community Mausoleum, Poughkeepsie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ann's name to Hospice of Dutchess County, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Doctor Ronald K. Rodebaugh
FISHKILL - Doctor Ronald K. Rodebaugh passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2008 at his home in Fishkill. Ron was born on March 27, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, and was the son of the late Kenneth and Alice Rodebaugh. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, graduating in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He obtained his Doctorate in organic chemistry in 1971 from Temple University, Philadelphia. Ron worked thirty-three years as an Analytical Chemist in the Analytical Research Services Department at Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation in Tarrytown, NY. He retired from Ciba as a Research Fellow in December 2006. Dr. Rodebaugh was co-author of more than twenty articles in scientific journals, and was a long-time member of the American Chemical Society. Ron's passions were classical music and opera. He also was an avid reader and tennis fan. Ron is survived by numerous cousins and long-time friends. Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, from 2pm to 3pm at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street, Fishkill, NY, followed by a Memorial Service to be held at 3 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Ave Marie Wolfe
BEACON - Ave Marie Wolfe, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 75. Born in Beacon on February 12, 1933, she was the daughter of John and Alice King Baumgartner. She was married to Clarence E. Wolfe, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2006. She is survived by one son, Christopher E. Wolfe and his wife, Deborah, Beacon; one daughter, Lisa A. Miller and her husband, Al, Beacon; one brother, Jack Baumgartner and his wife, Ann, Beacon; and four grandchildren, Kristen and Allison Romanillos, and Heather and Christopher Wolfe. The family will receive their friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 21, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon. Burial will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill. Donations in memory of Mrs. Wolfe may be made to St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, 2 Oak Street, Beacon, NY 12508-1805.

Ralph A. Barton
STAATSBURG - Ralph A. Barton, 67, of Staatsburg, formerly of Highland, died Friday, August 15, 2008, at Castle Point VAMC, Castle Point, NY. Mr. Barton was a retired Machinist for James Burn International in Poughkeepsie. He was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1959 to 1963. Born January 19, 1941 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Abram and Pearl Kimbark Barton. On September 11, 1964, he married Viola Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Viola Barton, at home; one son, Ralph W. Barton of Staatsburg; two grandchildren; Ralph W. Barton, Jr. and Alyssa J. Barton of Mt. Marion; a brother, Carl Barton of Ohio; a sister, Grace Lawrence of Staatsburg and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Timothy and Oscar Barton and a sister, Trudy Kihlmire. Mr. Barton will have a US Navy burial at sea service. Arrangements are under the direction of Libby Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Teller Ave., Beacon, NY.

Margaret J. Bruder
DOVER PLAINS - Margaret J. Bruder, 89, a 31-year resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, NY, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT. Mrs. Bruder was born December 4, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Schramm Dupier. On September 2, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, she married Edward L. Bruder who died July 6, 2008. She was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo and its Altar Rosary Society and Adoration Society. She was also a member of the Dover-Wingdale Senior Citizens. Mrs. Bruder is survived by a daughter, Sister Regine Marie Bruder, SSND of Wilton, CT; four sons, Edward J. Bruder and his wife, Clara, of Macungie, PA; Robert J. Bruder of Wilton, CT; Thomas W. Bruder and his wife, Patricia, of Farmingdale, NY; and James M. Bruder and his wife, Candice of Massapequa, NY; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by four sisters, three brothers and one great grandchild. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Mill St, Dover Plains, NY.
