Edna M. Jablonski
Edna M. Jablonski, 78, of Gloversville, died Tuesday at her home after a short illness.
She was born on July 1, 1923 in Lincoln, Vt., the daughter of Julius and Nellie Olcott Lathrop. She was a 1942 graduate of Gloversville High School and lived in the Gloversville area most of her life.
Mrs. Jablonski was employed by the former Decca Records and later retired from the Winig Slipper Co. of Gloversville.
She was a member of North Main Street United Methodist Church of Gloversville. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting and birding.
She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Edmund F. Jablonski; one son, Ronald Jablonski of Mayfield; two daughters, Sharon Pustolka of Schenectady and Sheila Blowers of Gloversville; one sister, Bernice Jones of Gloversville; seven grandchildren, Michael Pustolka, Lori Tasick, Brian Pustolka, Jennifer Jablonski, Ronald J. Jablonski, Eric Blowers and Craig Blowers; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, George Lathrop; and one sister, Vernice Reed.
The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hollenbeck Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Dr. Alan C. Rhodes, pastor of North Main Street United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 N. Main St., Gloversville.

Margaret B. Murphy
Mrs. Margaret B. Murphy of Franklin Street, Gloversville, died at Nathan Littauer Hospital Extended Care Facility.
Mrs. Murphy was born in Syracuse. She was educated in Little Falls schools. Mrs. Murphy was a graduate of Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at Nathan Littauer Hospital and taught there for many years. Mrs. Murphy also worked for Fulton County Department of Social Services for 11 years and retired in 1978.
She was a member of Nathan Littauer Hospital Nurses Alumni Association, Gloversville Business and Professional Women's Association and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a board member of Gloversville Day Nursery. Mrs. Murphy was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret A. Kimple of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Thomas Murphy of Gloversville; a sister, Florence Spencer of Mohawk; a brother, James Bucklin of Whitehall, Pa.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Les Massad. Her husband, Thomas Murphy, whom she married on April 27, 1940, died in 1972.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 147 Bleecker St., Gloversville, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will take place at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Fulton County Children's Committee, in care of Mildred Busch, Caroga Lake, NY 12032.

Irene F. Viskup
Mrs. Irene F. Viskup, 83, of Orchard Street, Gloversville, died Wednesday at home following a long illness.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1918 in Northville, the daughter of Burr and Florence Briggs Lawton. She was educated and lived in Gloversville all of her life.
She was employed as a layer-off by Knit-True Handware of Gloversville for more than 20 years until her retirement. Mrs. Viskup was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and a former member of Gloversville Women of the Moose 149.
On Feb. 22, 1936, she married John Viskup who survives. She is also survived by her two daughters, Patricia A. Mach and her husband, Michael Mach, and Barbara S. Viskup, all of Gloversville; brothers, Richard Travis of Gloversville, Charles Travis of Johnstown and Ronald Travis of Murray, Utah; sisters, Lucille Boyd and Betty Poyfair, both of Gloversville; granddaughters, Kimberly LaVallee of Gloversville and Barbara Betz of Johnstown; great-granddaughters, Samantha Hall and Elizabeth Betz, both of Johnstown; great-grandson, Jonathan Betz of Johnstown; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers, Harry Travis and Clifton Travis.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home Inc., 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Lauretta J. Dietrich and the Rev. Nancy C. Betz will officiate. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 N. Main St., Gloversville, NY 12078.

Felicia N. Colts
Felicia N. Colts, 93, formerly of Amsterdam and most recently a resident of Nathan Littauer Nursing Facility, passed away Friday at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1908 in Amsterdam, N.Y. She was the daughter of Brousslaus and Valeya Nadroski. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.
Mrs. Colts was employed by the former Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Mills in Amsterdam as a setter for many years. She also worked as a dress maker for the former Martin Jay Dress Co. until her retirement in 1975.
Mrs. Colts was a very dedicated mother and grandmother. She lived her life around her family.
She married Laverne Colts on Feb. 9, 1929. He passed away in 1968.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Beverly J. Holmes, and her husband, John S. Holmes. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jacalyn H. Smith and her husband, Larry Smith; Mark I. Holmes and wife, Sally Holmes; Dale R. Holmes and wife, Dena Holmes; Janet L. Velte and husband, Tom Velte; and six great-grandchildren: Jennifer Brockert, Matthew Smith, April Holmes, Melody Holmes, Katelyn Holmes and Michael Velte.
Mrs. Colts was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Isabel Sitterly, and two brothers, Edward Nadroski and Theodore Nadler.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to G.A.V.A.C., both c/o the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc., 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home Inc.

Eugene R. Ackerknecht
Eugene R. Ackerknecht, 65, of Matthew Street, Johnstown, died Saturday, Oct. 13, after being stricken while hunting.
He was born on April 3, 1936 in Johnstown, the son of Karl and Flora Peek Ackerknecht. He attended Johnstown schools and served in the Navy from 1954 to 1958.
He worked as a wiring operator for General Electric and retired in 1979.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Johnstown, and Ephratah Rod & Gun Club. He was an avid deer hunter.
He married Alice Hladik on Aug. 30, 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Hladik Ackerknecht of Johnstown; four sons, Ralph E. Ackerknecht of Gloversville, and David P. Ackerknecht, Alan F. Ackerknecht and Eugene K. Ackerknecht, all of Johnstown; one brother, Ernest K. Ackerknecht of Broadalbin; and two sisters, Sylvia Cheney of Rockwood and Mary Strevy of North Bush.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Lori Ann Ackerknecht, who died Dec. 29, 1989.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Church. The Rev. James Fitzmaurice, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by Barter & Donnan Funeral Home.

Francesco E. Bianco Sr.
Mr. Francesco E. Bianco Sr., 60, of Kettle Road, Amsterdam, died Sunday, Oct. 14, at home.
He was born on April 11, 1941 in Naples, Italy, the son of Ciro and Teresa D'Aniello Bianco. He came to Gloversville in 1967 and was married to Gloversville native Shirley Benton on Feb. 11, 1967.
He taught Italian adult education at Gloversville High School for several years.
He was employed as a machinist by General Electric Co., Schenectady for 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Bianco was a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church and Knights of Columbus Council 265, both of Gloversville, and Johnstown Moose Lodge 1185. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and he bowled in a league at Super 30 Lanes, Amsterdam.
He was the faithfully devoted husband of his surviving wife, Shirley of Amsterdam. He was the proud and loving father of Francesco E. Bianco Jr. of Gloversville, Marcello C. Bianco of West Glenville and Mario G. Bianco of Amsterdam. Additional survivors include his brothers, Raffaele Bianco, Mario Bianco and Pasquale Bianco, and his sisters, Marianna DiGrazia and Ernestina Montuori, all of Napoli, Italy; grandsons, Francesco E. Bianco III and Luciano F. Bianco; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Paola Bianco.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home Inc., 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a prayer service will be conducted at 8:45 a.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Gloversville. The Rev. Donald Czelusniak will be celebrant. Interment will take place at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.

Richard A. Bohanske
Richard A. Bohanske, 74, of Lake Drive, Northville, formerly of Oregon Avenue, Schenectady, died Friday, Oct. 12, at home.
He was born in Schenectady. He had lived in Schenectady all of his life until the last 10 years in Northville.
He was a computer programmer at Watervliet Arsenal for 37 years and retired in 1981.
He was a member of St. Helen's Church, American Legion Post 1092 for 51 years, was past county commander, VFW in Broadalbin, Vets of WWII in Schenectady, and was Fourth District Cheminot in the Four and Eighty.
He served in the Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Ouida (June) Bohanske, whom he married in 1958; three daughters, Priscilla Coughlin of Halfmoon, H.L. Brown of Rhode Island and Deborah Pachino of Hagaman; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Richard A. Bohanske II.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Helen's Church. Interment will take place at Memory's Garden, Colonie.
