Cameron James Livesey, 1, of 419 Union Mills Road, Broadalbin, died Monday, Oct. 1, [2001] at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 29, 2000 in Amsterdam.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa B. Livesey of Broadalbin; his father, Christopher J. Berson of Rochester; his brother, Christopher Livesey of Broadalbin; maternal grandmother, Judith A. Wangemann of Johnstown; maternal great-grandparents, Walter and Arlene Coons of Broadalbin; maternal great-grandfather, Earle W. Parsons of Amsterdam; paternal grandmother, Anne Berson of England; aunt, Lori Ringer of Johnstown; uncles, Michael Livesey and Marc Livesey, both of Florida, and Tim Berson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; aunt, Patricia Berson, England. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Robert T. Wangemann and Howard K. Berson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main St., Broadalbin. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Johnstown. The Rev. Canon William D. Small will officiate. Veda D. Nichols
Veda D. Nichols, of Hampton Bays, N.Y., died Sept. 23, [2001].
Mrs. Nichols is survived by two daughters, Merilyn A. D'Errico and husband Frank of Gloversville, and Pamela M. Ryan and husband Ronald of Hampton Bays; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held in Hampton Bays. Memorial donations may be made to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.
Dr. Richard Thomas Bobilin
Dr. Richard Thomas Bobilin, 56, of Corneilus, N.C., died Sunday, Sept. 30, [2001] as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Cana, Va.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1945 in Amsterdam, N.Y., the son of Conrad and Barbara Bobilin and raised in Glen, N.Y. On June 11, 1966 he married Charlotte Deckro at the Fonda Reformed Church.
He graduated as valedictorian from the Fonda-Fultonville Central School in 1962. In 1966 he graduated with a degree in electrical engineer from Union College, also as valedictorian. He then received his master's from the University of Michigan in 1967 and his doctorate from Purdue University in 1969.
He was an engineer with Bell Labs of Holmdel, N.J. from 1966 to 1985. In 1985 he formed his own consulting firm, Creative Communications Consulting. In addition, he did consulting with Acterna of Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church of Corneilus, N.C. He also was a member of IEEE, T 1 Officer and the American Association of Retired Persons, a volunteer fireman in the Fair Haven, N.J. Fire Department and a coach of the Fair Haven Little League for many years. In addition, he was a foster father to some 30 children over the years.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Charlotte; two daughters, Anne Bobilin of Sarasota, Fla. and Heather Lauro of Huntersville, N.C.; two sons, Rick Bobilin of Durham, N.C. and James of Corneilus, N.C.; son-in-law, Robert Lauro and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Tyler Lauro of Huntersville, N.C.; his parents, Conrad and Barbara Bobilin of Fultonville, N.Y.; four sisters, Bonnie James-Cooper of Gloversville, Phyllis Bliven Martin of Ballston Spa, Jean Saltsman of Fort Ann and Barbara Clark of Caroga Lake, N.Y.; two brothers Robert Bobilin of St. Johnsville and Wayne Bobilin of Thompsonville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Fonda Reformed Church in Fonda. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 96911, Washington, D.C. 20090-6911.

Frank Joseph Mulig
Frank Joseph Mulig, 79, of Mansfield, Ohio, died Monday evening, Oct. 1, [2001] following an extended illness.
Frank was born on Dec. 23, 1921 in Columbus, Ohio to Frank and Goldie (Jagunich) Mulig; graduated from Gloversville High School and had been a Mansfield area resident since 1973.
An Army veteran of WWIl, he served with the 85th Signal Operation Battalion in Okinawa.
Frank was a member of Resurrection Parish Catholic Church. A long time sufferer of Parkinson's disease, he took an active role in the fight against Parkinson's.
He worked in the graphic arts division of the printing business all his life, starting out as an offset pressman in his early days. He retired from W.R. Grace Company.
He is survived by his mother, Goldie (Jagunich) Mulig of San Diego, Calif.; his wife, Shirley (Stevenson) Mulig; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen E. and Dr. Alan L. Crescuillo of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Karen M. Mulig of Amazonia, Mo.; a son, Richard S. Mulig of Seaville, N.J.; three grandchildren, Ryan M. Heslop, Jennifer A. Crescuillo and Jessica L. Crescuillo; a sister, Barbara A. Young of San Diego, Calif.; and a brother Robert T. Mulig of Clifton Park, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday Oct. 4, at Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at noon Friday at Resurrection Parish, 2600 Lexington Ave., Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.

Dorothy M. Wood
Dorothy M. Wood, 80, of Railroad Street, Fonda, died Monday [Oct. 1, 2001] at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville after a long illness.
She was born in Fultonville, N.Y., the daughter of Howard and Mable Houpt Shelp. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Fultonville High School.
Dorothy first worked for Tempelton Gloves in Fonda for over 10 years until going to work for the White Mop Wringer Co. in Fultonville for many years until her retirement
She was a member of the Fonda Reformed Church and the Glen-Mohawk Seniors.
Survivors include her beloved daughters, Beverly Guiffre of Fonda and Kathy Payne of Johnstown, N.Y.; she was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, James Santangelo, Melissa Zaleski, Jennifer Santangelo, and Christopher Pilchen; and two great grandchildren, Aaron Zaleski and Chyanne Pilchen. Several cousins also survive.
She was married to Carl R. Wood. He died in 1985.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville where the Glen-Mohawk Seniors will meet at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Fonda Reformed Church, 5 Broadway St., Fonda. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Mountain Valley Hospice in care of the funeral home.
Lewis H. VanValkenburgh
Lewis H. (Duke) VanValkenburgh, 70, of 17 Mechanic St., St. Johnsville, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, [2001] at his home after a brief illness.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1931 in Keck Center, Johnstown, N.Y., the son of the late Lewis H. and Gladys (Freeman) VanValkenburgh Sr. Duke was a graduate of Richfield Springs School.
His marriage to Linda A. Weaver took place on Dec. 22, 1984 at St. Johnsville United Methodist Church.
Mr. VanValkenburgh was a Korean War veteran, enlisting on April 17, 1951 and honorably discharged on March 27, 1954 with the rank of sergeant. While serving his country, Duke received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was last employed at Lee Dyeing Co., until his retirement in 1996. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years at Sperry Rand.
Mr. VanValkenburgh was of the Protestant faith.
Duke was a member of the Johnstown Moose Lodge and the Ephratah Rod & Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; a son, Harold (Hal) VanValkenburgh of St. Johnsville; a daughter, Christine Brownell of Dolgeville; two brothers, Harvey VanValkenburgh and wife, Kathy, of Johnstown and Russell VanValkenburgh and wife, Carol, of Massachusetts; several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Linda Dolan of St. Johnsville.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy VanValkenburgh.
Friends and relatives may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the funeral home. The Rev. R.W. Williams, chaplain of Mountain Valley Hospice, will officiate. Burial will take place at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. All memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 Main St., Gloversville, NY 12078, or to a charity of one's choice. John D. Amadon
John D. Amadon, 42, of Old Piseco Road, Piseco, died Tuesday [Oct. 2, 2001] at home after being stricken.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1958 in Gloversville, the son of Henry and Anne Polivka Amadon. He was a graduate of Wells High School and attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
He was employed by the Town of Arietta Highway Department at the time of his death. He was a lifelong area resident.
He was a former member of Piseco Fire Department, Piseco Fish and Game Club and former assistant scoutmaster for Troop 20.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Toher Amadon; one son, John Henry Amadon of Piseco; four brothers, Richard and Charles Amadon of Piseco, Robert Amadon of Fairport, N.Y. and William Amadon of Westport, N.Y.; one sister, Joanne Wagoner of Frederick, Md.; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Red Cross or Students Against Driving Drunk at Wells Central School. Arrangements are by Northville Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Higgins Bay Cemetery, Piseco.
Mildred M. Kennedy Manhey
Mildred M. Kennedy Manhey, 87, of North Greenbush, died Monday, Oct. 1, [2001] at Rosewood Gardens in East Greenbush.
She was born in Gloversville and lived in North Greenbush for 23 years. Mrs. Manhey was a homemaker.
Mother of Marilyn Kelley of Rensselaer; sister of Robert Kennedy of Gloversville; grandmother of John Patrick Kelley and wife, Caryl of Waldorf, Md.; great-grandmother of Jake Kelley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Wife of the late John Manhey; mother of the late Linda Manhey; sister of the late Donald Kennedy and Allyn Kennedy.
There will be no evening calling hours. Interment will take place in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Arrangements are by W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, Rensselaer. Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.
