AMMERMAN, MADELINE GRACE

Madeline Grace Ammerman, on March 13, 2009 at Maria Ferrari Childrens Hospital in Valhalla, NY. She was four months old. She is survived by her parents, Jillian M. and John M. Ammerman, her brother Mason Ammerman and her maternal grandparents, Sharon and Jay Twardy, and paternal grandparents, Janet and John Ammerman. Friends may call from 5-9PM on Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 10AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at St. Gregory's Church, Harrison, NY. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valahalla, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Foundation, 100 Woods Rd., Valhalla, NY 10595.

AVILES, LUCRECIA

Lucrecia (Lucy) Aviles, a 40 year resident of Ossining entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Born in Puerto Rico in 1933 and residing there until age 25 when she came to NY. She married Victor M. Aviles in 1958 and they were together 23 years until his passing in 1981. Lucy is survived by her 7 devoted children and their families: Elba Aviles-Jimenez, Victor Aviles Jr., Yolanda Vazquez, Lisa Aviles, Blanca Aviles-Soler, Robert Aviles, and Jessie Aviles-Rodriguez, their spouses, 19 cherished grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandsons. She leaves many who mourn her passing, including her loving siblings: Gloria Soto, Teresa Soto, Pablo Soto, Rafael Soto, and Isabel Laboy of Puerto Rico, Adelina Torres of Newark, NJ, and Kero Soto of Pleasantville, as well as countless nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Lucy was the matriarch of the family, always hosting family gatherings and keeping in contact with relatives throughout the world. She had a heart of gold and family always came first. She donated a kidney to her beloved baby brother Kero in 1990. That kidney is still going strong 25 years later. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 6-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State Street, Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday 10am at St. Ann’s Church, burial at Dale Cemetery.

IAMICELI, GUIDO D.

Guido Iamiceli of Ossining died August 24, 2015 as a result of a motor vehicle accident, he was 60. He was born in October 16, 1954 in Sassinoro Italy to Antonio & Maria Lucia (Apollonio) Iamiceli. After graduating, Guido served in the US Air Force. He married Rosa Caputi on July 24, 1983. Guido was a self-employed contractor. He was a Past President and member of the Christopher Columbus Lodge #692, American Legion Post #506, and the Ossining Moose Lodge #1460. Guido is survived by his wife Rosa, daughter Nadia, son Daniele, sisters Giovanna Cannas (Natale), Maria Federico (Stefano), Grace Bueti and brother Franco (Donna), He will be reposing Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 12pm at St. Ann’s Church, interment at St. Augustine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Westchester Medical Center Foundation, 100 Woods Road, Suite C3, Valhalla, NY 10595. Earmark : Trauma ICU appreciated.

HUBA, ELIZABETH R.

Elizabeth R. Huba, a long time resident of Cortlandt Manor, passed away on Saturday at Phelps Memorial Hospital. She was 81. Mrs. Huba was a retired Secretary for International Paper in NY City. She also worked as an Occupational Therapist for Stoney Lodge in Ossining. Elizabeth was born in Yonkers on April 10, 1927, to Edward and Rose Chaik Puhala. She attended Hendrick Hudson High School, where she achieved National Honor Society recognition. She was also a cheerleader. She graduated in 1944. On April 10, 1948, she was married to Francis Huba at St. Patrick's Church in Verplanck. He survives, and lives in Cortlandt Manor. She is also survived by her children, Joseph (Nancy) Huba, of Cheverly MD, Lynn (Thomas) Orzolek, of New Milford, CT, Jean Huba, of San Francisco, CA, Rose Huba, of Stamford, CT, and John (Nidhi) Huba, of NY City; also her brothers and sisters, Donald (Rita) Puhala, of Cortlandt Manor, Helen Heady, of Peekskill, and Frances Magurno, of Patchogue, NY. There are also seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Huba was predeceased by a brother Edward Puhala. The Funeral Mass is on Wednesday at 11AM at Assumption Church. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 at EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Rd. Montrose. Burial is in Assumption Cemetery.

KELLARD, WILLIAM B.

Bill passed away peacefully on February 20, 2009 at Memorial Sloane-Kettering Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his loving partner of over 30 years Terry Roberson of Savannah, Ga, his mother Ordie Kellard of New Rochelle, sisters, Betsy Rock of Larchmont, Marilee Kellard of Ghent, Marguerite Borsella and her husband Ralph of New Rochelle, and Amy Gorman and her husband Walter of Rye. He also has eight nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. His father Adrian L. Kellard and his brother Adrian L. Kellard Jr predeceased him. Born on April 15, 1949 in New Rochelle to Adrian and Ordie Kellard he was the eldest of six children. Bill attended Holy Name of Jesus School and Iona Preparatory in New Rochelle before heading to Georgetown University. He left Georgetown to pursue his career as a costume designer. A career at which he had much success until his passing. He worked on stage shows including A Chorus Line, A Flea in Her Ear, and Fool Moon. His work for television includes Ryan's Hope, Search for Tomorrow, and most notably Sesame Street, for which he and Terry earned 20 Emmy awards during his 31 years on this show. When Bill was not working he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was a lover of life's pleasures including working in his garden, a good meal, a good laugh, good wine, and good company. Whether at work or at play, Terry was always by his side. He was a loving partner, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in Bill's memory can be made to The American Cancer Society. KOLESAR, MATILDA

Matilda Kolesar (nee Blaner), a lifelong Yonkers resident died on Wednesday March 11, 2009 at St. John's Riverside Hospital. She was 95 years old. She was born on January 2, 1914 to John and Veronica Lucas Blaner in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Kolesar was a longtime parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. On March 30, 1933, she married Andrew M. Kolesar in Yonkers. Mr. Kolesar died on February 20, 1993. Survivors include three sons, Andrew M. Kolesar, Jr. of Poughquag, N.Y., Donald Kolesar of Phoenixville, Pa. and Michael Kolesar of Yonkers, two daughters, Arlene Fielding of Hadley, N.Y. and Karen Buyarski of Carrollton, Tx. and one sister, Lillian Kokinchak of Georgia. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, John, Frank and Daniel Blaner and four sisters, Irene Faye, Josephine Berry, Margaret Blaner and Anna Hudak. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Most Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday March 17th at 10 AM.
