FINKELSTEIN, PHILIP

Philip Finkelstein, age 98, of Jefferson Village Community, Yorktown Heights, NY, died on February 26, 2009 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center. Mr. Finkelstein was born on January 25, 1911 in New York City. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a Staff Sergeant and was awarded the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters. Mr. Finkelstein was a founding member of the Jefferson Village VFW Post. He was the beloved husband of the late Hilda. Mr. Finkelstein is the loving father of Rosalyn Klein and her husband, Edward, of Orange, CT and Robert Finkelstein and his wife, Michele, of Somers, NY. He is the devoted grandfather of Brian, Dana and Jennifer Klein all of Los Angeles, CA and Zachary, Adam and Emily Finkelstein all of Somers, NY. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Touretts Syndrome Association. GOUVEIA, SUSAN

Susan Gouveia died peacefully at her residence on February 26, 2009. Beloved mother of Sheri and son-in-law Nick Marchi. Adoring grandmother of Nicholas and Maximus. She is also survived by her sister Mary. Family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home Monday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of The Resurrection Tuesday 10 AM. Internment to follow at the Greenwood Union Cemetery.

HENNIG, R.S.M.

Sister Mary Judith Hennig, RSM of the Sisters of Merc died in NYC on February 26, 2009. Born in NY to the late Anton and Elisabeth Hennig, she is survived by her youngest brother, William, and many nieces and nephews and their families. Sister was an educator and principal in several high schools in the Archdiocese of NY including St. Simon Stock, Bronx and Our Lady of Victory Academy in Dobbs Ferry. She also served on the Mercy Community Administration Team and in service positions. Wake Sunday, March 1 3:30PM-7:00PM with Prayer Service 6:30PM Mass of the Resurrection Monday, March 2 at 10:00AM at Marian Woods Chapel, Hartsdale, NY. HOYT, ELISE V.

Elise V. Hoyt, a long time resident of Stony Point died on February 26, 2009. She was 80. Elise was born in Peekskill, NY on May 15, 1928, to Dean and Marguerite (Williams) Conklin. On February 16, 1947 she married Albert Hoyt and just celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. Elise had a great love for all animals but truly enjoyed riding horses in rodeos. Her grandchildren were the joys of her life. Elise is survived by her husband Albert, their children Kenneth Hoyt and his wife Gail of New Windsor NY, Sharon Hoyt of Stony Point NY, grandchildren Alexis of New Windsor NY, Matthew of Tomkins Cove NY, George Green, Kristen Green both of Stony Point NY and three great grandchildren. The Family will receive friends on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home Rt. 9W Stony Point, NY. Religious Services will be offered Monday 11AM at the Funeral Home. Jean Dotterweich
Born in Jackson, Michigan on Apr. 10, 1941
Departed on Aug. 6, 2004 and resided in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.

Jean C. Dotterweich, 63, of Hastings-On-Hudson, New York, died August 6 at Calvary Hospital in New York City.
Miss Dotterweich was born in Jackson, Michigan and received bachelors and masters degrees in Theater Arts from the University of Detroit and Temple University.
She was employed for many years with the IBM Corporation, where she was a systems engineer. After her retirement, she worked in the office of St. Matthews Parish in Hastings-On-Hudson. She participated in community theater with Fort Hill Players, Greenville Community Theatre, Moonlight Theatre, New Rochelle Theatre, Yorktown Community Players, Hand-to-Mouth Players, Westchester Players and M&M; Productions and
performed in summer stock with Ft. Salem Theatre in Salem. NY.
Miss Dotterweich is survived by her sister, Susan Gleeson of Jackson, brothers Andrew Dotterweich of Jackson and William Dotterweich of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Avenue, in Dobbs Ferry. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Matthews Catholic Church in
Hastings-On-Hudson.
A memorial service will be held later at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Jackson, Michigan, where Miss Dotterweich will be interred with her parents.

Kalyan Sundaram
Born in Hydrabad, India on Nov. 22, 1932
Departed on Jul. 13, 2006 and resided in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.

SUNDARAM, Kalyan, 73, died July 13, 2006. Born in Hydrabad, India. Kalyan received his Masters degree from the University of Manitoba and PhD from Purdue University. He recently retired as a senior scientist at the Population Council at Rockefeller University. He was an excellent squash player and recently enjoyed curling at the Ardsley Curling Club. He is survived by his adoring wife Kathleen and children, Shaker and Debra, and his brothers Vaidy Rao and Ramakrishna.
The family will be receiving visitors on Monday July 17, from 2-4 and 7-9pm, at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Avenue, Dobbs Ferry, NY. Memorial Mass 11:00 am Tuesday, R.C Church of St. Matthew, Warburton Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kalyan Sundaram Fund at the Westchester Community Foundation, 200 N. Central Park Ave., ste 310, Hartsdale, NY 10530.

KELLER, ROBERT

Robert William Keller, 73, of Poughquag and formerly of Carmel, died on February 27, 2009 from the effects of Parkinsons Disease. He graduated from Lehigh University where he was a member of the Wrestling Club. He was employed as the District Coordinator of Math and Computers for the Bedford Central School District and also taught at Iona College. He was the son of Lily (Scaife) Keller and the late Raymond Keller. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Nancy (Hohl) Keller; his children, Dr. Jennifer (Steve) Feeny, Heidi (John) Bocianowski, and Eric (Kristen) Keller; his grandchildren, Taylor, Kayla, Jocelyn, Charlize, Braden and Devin; his brother, Thomas (Jean) Keller; and his sisters, Jean Keller and Joan Anderko. Calling hours on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Funeral Service on Monday at 11 AM at Poughquag United Methodist Church followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery. Memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association or Habitat for Humanity.
