D'ADAMO, REV. BROTHER ANTHONY EDMUND

Rev. Brother Anthony Edmund D'Adamo C.F.C. passed away on January 27, 2009. Brother D'Adamo was born on March 15, 1936 in the Bronx, the son of Edmund and Nancy Pettifano D'Adamo. He received a BA in History and his MS in Pastoral Counseling at Iona College. He was also certified in Mechanic Drafting and Engineering at Columbia University and certified in Guidance at Manhattan College. Brother D'Adamo entered the congregation on July 1, 1957 and took his final vows on June 27, 1964. His ministry took him too many positions including St. Cecilia Grammar School, Bishop Gibbons HS, Power Memorial Academy, Iona Preparatory School, Tertianship Renewal Program in Rome, Msgr. Farrell HS, Rice HS, Iona College, Director of Vocations and with the Citta Dei Ragazzi Community in Rome where he served as Executive Vice President. Brother D'Adamo was predeceased by his parents and two brothers: Richard, Joseph and his wife Marie D'Adamo. He is survived by his nephews Gary D'Adamo and wife Lori, Richard and Perry D'Adamo, nieces Nancy Ann Downey and husband Bill and Jill D'Adamo. Also surviving is his sister-in-law Josephine D'Adamo and many great nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom loved him dearly. A wake will be held at St. Joseph Care Center, 30 Montgomery Circle, New Rochelle, NY on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Church, Mayflower Ave., New Rochelle, NY on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Internment to follow at Christian Brothers Cemetery in West Park, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Boys Towns of Italy, Inc., 250 East 63 St., Suite 204, New York, NY 10065. FRAIOLI, JOSEPH

Joseph Fraioli, of Mamaroneck and Ft. Myers, FL died January 27, 2009 at age 81. Born January 22, 1928 to Pietro and Columba (Palermo) Fraioli. He served in the Navy from 1946-1950. For 45 years he was the proprietor of Fraioli Landscape, a highly regarded Landscape Design & Contracting Business. During his retirement he was a Lee County volunteer Sheriff's Deputy. He is the beloved husband of 58 years of Genevieve (Papa). Cherished father of Joseph J. (wife Donna), John S. (wife Teresa), Robert D. (wife Tara) and the late Stephen Fraioli, Dear brother of Anna Falco and the late Anthony Fraioli, Peter Fraioli and Rose Friscia. He was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. TORTORELLA, NICOLA

Tortorella, Nicola of Yonkers died December 15, 2008. Born August 27, 1930 in Novi Velia, Salerno (Italy) to Domenico and Rosina (Viciconte).Beloved husband of Antonietta (Guzzo). Dear Father of Rosetta (Frank) Barbieri, Josephine DelNero, Domenico (Lori) Tortorella, Virginia (Michael) Maloney. Adored "Nenno” of nine grandchildren; Joseph, Anntonia, Thomas, Juliana, Nicole, Matthew, Ryan, Lauren and Nicolo. He will be missed by his siblings Violanda and Aniello, Marie (Guerino), Esterina and Giovanni, Antonio and Anna, Angelo and Maria, Santina and Salvatore and countless nieces, nephews and friends. His homemade mozzarella will be sorely missed along with his jovial demeanor and heart of gold. Immigrated with his family in Nov. 1968 settling in Yonkers. VIVIANO, ANDREW P.

Andrew P. Viviano, of Newtown, CT formally of Armonk, NY, died on December 15, 2008. He was 71. Born July 22, 1937 in Yonkers to Elizabeth (nee Paniccia) and the late Andrew Viviano. He served in the US Army from 1956 - 1958 and was a police officer with the White Plains Police Department for 20 years before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the PBA of White Plains. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 48 years Edna E. (nee Henning); four children Andrew (Izidora) Viviano, Christine (Michael) Pelczar, Nancy (Louis) Quinn and Jeanne (David) Smith; four brothers Peter, Paul, Matthew and John and nine grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Madison, Lisa, Neil, Allison, Alex and Mark. A daughter Susan Viviano predeceased him in 1973. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Friday 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association. WINZIG, LETA MAE

Leta Mae Sublette Winzig was born on September 12, 1917 to Charles Henry Sublette and Catherine Richard Robertson, in Elida, New Mexico. She graduated from high school after joining her sisters in Buffalo, New York. She married Frank Winzig of Hawthorne, NY in September 1939, and was the loving mother to four sons and one daughter. Leta Mae was an active member of the Hawthorne Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. Winzig is preceded in death by her husband and daughter Catherine Winzig. She is survived by sons Theodore Winzig, Rifle, CO; Francis Winzig, Jr., Orlando, FL; Richard Winzig, Hopewell Junction, NY and Michael Winzig, Lake Peekskill, NY and her "Angel" Suzanne Winzig Dixon, Dallas, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Lilly Winzig Windsor. The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville on Thursday from 4 - 8 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10 AM. BOCHICCHIO, CELESTE

Celeste Bochicchio, of Mamaroneck, died November 7, 2008 at age 87. Born in New Rochelle on August 5, 1921, to Ralph & Kate Maria Michelle Cordore. Celeste graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1939. For many years she worked as a banker in New Rochelle. On February 17, 1946 she married Daniel J. Bochicchio. He passed away in 1992. Celeste is survived by her devoted son, Daniel Bochicchio of Mamaroneck, many loving cousins and friends including, Jack Farrell & Jean Gray. She is predeceased by her brother, Gerald Cordore. COUGHLIN, WILLIAM

William Coughlin, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on November 6 2008. He was 74. Mr. Coughlin was born in New Rochelle to the late Patrick and Madge (Walsh) Coughlin and graduated from Blessed Sacrament High School. Mr. Coughlin was a crane operator for Great Lakes Dredge and Dock for over thirty five years. He served in the Army and was a communicant of Holy Name Church. He is survived by his wife of forty five years, the former Philomena Deane; two daughters Teresa Coughlin Castellitto and Judy Coughlin; two sisters Ann McLoughlin and Elizabeth Gillespie. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. Mass Monday 10:00 AM at Holy Name Church. Interment will follow.
