PECOS — Marion D. Cook, 80, of Pecos, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at First Christian Church with the Rev. Ernie Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was born in Terrell, Ark.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Annie Cook of Pecos; son, William Cook of Pecos; daughter, Cynthia Cook of Big Spring; brothers, Willis Cook of Beaumont, Ernest Cook of Pecos, Gene Cook of Mentone and Johnny Cook Sr. of Odessa; sister, Jo Ann Beachamp; and one grandchild.

Helen Wheeler
ODESSA — Helen Wheeler died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at her residence.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Erasmo Garcia
ODESSA — Erasmo Garcia, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Sienna Nursing Home in Odessa.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

Willie Evans
ODESSA — Willie (Tapeya) Evans, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003.
Services are pending with Chapa Funeral Home.

Curtis Hays
MIDLAND — Curtis R. Hays, 77, of Midland, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, in Midland.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at Crestview Baptist Church with the Rev. John Gerlach officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Turkey, Texas. He was Baptist. He retired from Texaco in 1989 after 42 years of service.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Nadine Hays of Midland; daughters, Lola Swint of Trenton, Mo., and Cathy Landon of New York City; stepson, Larry Hicks of Sequin; stepdaughter, Sharon Gaines of Abilene; sister, Opal Battel of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Don Snyder
ODESSA — Dr. Don O. Snyder, 70, of Odessa, a geologist of the oil and gas industry, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Pampa and was an Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Linda Murphy of Waco, Kim Tyler of Arlington and Valerie LeMay of Fort Worth; and five grandchildren.

ODESSA — Wesley Hardin, 53, of Odessa, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, in Parker County.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Vicenta Miranda
ODESSA — Vicenta Miranda, 68, of Odessa, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at her residence.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.

MONAHANS - Odessa Chastain Adams, 93, of Monahans, a retired schoolteacher, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, in Seymour.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Monahans with the Rev. Jeff Box officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services/Jackie Harkey.
She was born in Brownwood.
SURVIVORS: Son, Gene Adams of Seymour; brothers, Harold Chastain and J.D. Chastain, both of Brownwood; and five grandchildren

Martha Hammond
HENDERSON - Martha Freeman McVicker Hammond, 89, of Henderson, a housewife, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at the Hospice Homeplace in Tyler.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Crawford-Crim-Bryan Chapel. Burial will be in Crims Chapel cemetery. Arrangements by Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home.
She was born in Rusk County. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Jane Allen of Henderson; sister, Mary Kelley of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Lola McGowen
HOBBS, N.M. - Lola Owens McGowen, 94, of Odessa, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Deering Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Prairie Haven cemetery graveside. Burial will be at Prairie Haven cemetery. Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Home.
She was born in Cisco. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Jim Wyche of Wingate; daughter, Bes Castleman of Odessa; brother, Bryon Perdue of Belen, N.M.; sisters, Jo Wood of Walnutcreek, Calif. and Beulah Webster of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Frankie Pogue
KERMIT - Frankie Pogue, 69, of Ruidoso, N.M., a previous owner of AAA Roustabout Services, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Lincoln City Acute Care Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Family Services Funeral Chapel. Arrangements by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
He was born in Canadian, Okla.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Lora Ellen Pogue of Ruidoso; daughters, Linda Seale of Kermit, Judy Sparkman of Lolita, Patsy Shropshire of Okmulgee, Okla., and Donna Soltero of Kermit; brother, Jessee Burwell Jr. of Hoffman, Okla.; sister, Mary Lee Winters of Warsaw, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren

Irene Rodriguez
ODESSA— Irene Gaona Rodriguez, 84, of Odessa, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Hospice House.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Arturo Pestin officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Manuel Rodriguez and Lorenzo Rodriguez, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughters, Maria De Jesus Pando of Odessa and Rofelia Heredia of Borger; sister, Lupe Abarca of Los Angles; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ruby Turley
ODESSA - Ruby Wilson Turley, 85, of Odessa, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital. She had worked in the nursery at First Baptist Church for many years.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Thackerville, Okla. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Don Wilson of Odessa and Hoppy Wilson of Granite Shouls; daughter, Evelyn Meinhardt of Yuma, Ariz.; brothers, Walter Turner of Midland, Wendell Turner of Burnett and Travis Turner of Colorado City; sisters, Marie Cruz if Big Spring and Joy Phillips of Odessa; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
