Ella Alma Bohot
(August 23, 1914 - January 17, 2012)
Funeral services for Ella Bohot, 97 of Baytown, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Rev. Jeremy Walloch of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings officiating. Burial will follow in the Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, January 20, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
Mrs. Bohot passed away the morning of Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Cedar Bayou Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Baytown.
Ella Alma Grimm Bohot was born on August 23, 1914 in Giddings, Texas to Henry Friedrich & Annie Pauline (Niemtschk) Grimm. She was united in marriage to Herbert Ben Bohot on October 6, 1935 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings by Rev. William Mueller. She was a loving and devoted homemaker who will be remembered for her friendliness and especially her smile and wave.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Annie Grimm; her husband, Herbert Bohot; her son, Henry Bohot; her daughter, Gladys Keller; two grandsons, Henry Douglas Bohot and Clark Kilcrease Jr.; son-in-law, Clark Kilcrease Sr.; eight brothers, Jacob Grimm, Herman Grimm, Albert Grimm, Robert Grimm, Edwin Grimm, Alvin Grimm, Adolph Grimm and Henry Grimm and two sisters, Sophie Kipp and Selma Kipp.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Radeker & her husband, Paul of Baytown and Mary Manen of Baytown; son-in-law, John Keller of Baytown; four grandsons, Wesley Radeker of The Woodlands, Jimmie Manen Jr. of Houston, Greg Manen of Mont Belvieu and David Manen of Crosby; five granddaughters, Sonya Martin of Houston, Sherry Thomas of Baytown, Lisa Williams of Baytown, Karen Gilbert of Baytown and Terry Johnson of Baytown; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great, great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Seeman of Giddings; three sisters-in-law, Lillie & John Foerster of Giddings, Joyce Grimm of Giddings and Irene Grimm of Giddings as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmie Manen Jr., Greg Manen, David Manen, Wesley Radeker, Matt Gilbert, Steven Thomas, Billy Williams and Carl Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Radeker, Cade Manen, Kaleb Kilcrease and Justin Manen.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Frieda Mae Guelker
Born on Oct. 19, 1927
Departed on Jun. 17, 2004 and resided in Burton, TX.

Frieda Mae Guelker of Burton, Texas, began her celebration into eternal life on June 17, 2004.
Frieda Mae was born October 19, 1927, to Albert and Frieda Ponfick Kuehn in Burton. She was baptized into God’s family by Rev. Walton in St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton on June 24, 1928 and was confirmed in the same church by Rev. Knicker on June 13, 1943.
Frieda Mae graduated from Burton High School and then attended Blinn College. She was a member of the honor society Phi Theta Kappa and sang in the Blinn choir. After graduating from Blinn, she attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville where she gained a bachelor of science degree. Her teaching profession led her to teach in Pearland for two years and Burton for two years. She did substitute teaching while traveling with her husband, Walter Guelker.
Walter and Frieda Mae were married on June 28, 1953, by the Rev. Schwengel.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter Dale and Nancy Mueller Guelker of Burton and Lovell Shane and Sharon Dietz Guelker of Brenham; five grandchildren, Amber Lynnae and husband Christopher Phillips of Ledbetter, Joshua Dale Guelker, Colton Dewayne Guelker and Kelsey Janae Guelker, all of Burton, and Madalyn Elaine Guelker of Brenham; one great-grandchild, Dylan Van Phillips of Ledbetter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herman and Marilouise Guelker of Delano, California; and caregiver and good friend, Alice Macik of Brenham.
Frieda Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Freddie Dwain Guelker.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20 in St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton with Greg Felder officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Burton.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19 in Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
Pallbearers will be Ben Bosse, Otto Lehrmann, Henry Guelker Jr., Carl Guelker, Norman Prenzler, Glennwood Schwartz, Wayne Roberts, Darrell Kieke and Jim McCune.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.

Edward Alan Toner
Born in Midland, Michigan on Mar. 20, 1966
Departed on Aug. 30, 2005 and resided in Brenham, TX.

Edward Alan Toner, 39, of Brenham, died Aug. 30, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham.
Mr. Toner was born March 20, 1966, in Midland, Michigan, to Edward F. and Judith Van Meter Toner. He was baptized April 7, 2004, in Christ Lutheran Church by Pastor Blair Lundborg.
On Jan. 19, 1991, he was married to Tanya Gurka. Mr. Toner was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was employed as an electrician at Western International in Bellville. He enjoyed shooting guns with his son, riding four-wheelers, fishing, tubing down the river with his family and going to Astroworld. He was very close to his sister, Pam.
Survivors include his wife, Tanya Toner of Brenham; son, Zachary Toner of Brenham; parents, Edward and Judi Toner of Austin; stepsons, Andy Cannon Gurka of Brenham and Josh Gurka and wife Shannon of Chappell Hill; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Brian Knebel of Brenham, Dawn and Barney Allen of Somerville and Joni and Frank Shepherd of Hutto; brothers and sisters-in-law, Greg and Cami Toner of Brenham, Chad and Vanee Toner of Austin and Jason Toner of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Elaine Toner.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2 in Christ Lutheran Church of Brenham with Pastor Arnon Lundborg officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 in Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Toner, David Beettner, Freddie Eberhardt, Freddie Pena, Chris Coward and John Steele.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.

Doris Lisemby Gilbert
Born in Corsicana, TX on May 28, 1914
Departed on Oct. 7, 2005 and resided in Brenham, TX.

Graveside Service: Monday Oct. 10, 2005
With deepest sorrow, the family of Doris Lisemby Gilbert, announced their loss at the death of Doris on October 7, 2005, at age 91, at St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center, in Bryan, Texas.
Doris was born May 28, 1914, in Corsicana, Texas to the late Frank and Martha Lisemby of Lubbock, Texas. On February 7, 1934, she was married to Wendell P. Gilbert. They were blessed with three daughters, Gail, Sue and Paula.
From her youth in New Home and Lubbock in West Texas, to raising her children in Lytle, to retirement in San Antonio, and then to her later years in Brenham, she was steadfast in her faith in God. She was a member of Lytle Baptist Church, Alamo Bible Class in San Antonio, and Country Bible Church in Brenham.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Sue and Lowell Rowan of Denton, TX, and Paula and Roger Imm of Chappell Hill, TX; grandsons & granddaughters-in-law: Blake and Jennifer Pyron of Helotes, TX, Mark and Margie Pyron of Muncie, IN, Milton and Jolanda Pyron of Cypress, TX, Paul and Inga Rowan of Dallas TX, David and Amanda Rowan of Sanger, TX, Fred and Susan Eisenhauer of Middleton, WI, J.J. and Lena Engel of Austin, TX, and Lee Engel of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren: Matthew Pyron, Logan Pyron, Marissa Pyron, Nina Pyron, Avery Pyron, Justin Rowan, Brooklynne Rowan, and Abbigale Rowan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Wendell P. Gilbert, of Lytle and San Antonio, TX, and daughter, Gail Gilbert, in San Antonio, TX.
A memorial service for Doris will be held at Kruse Memorial Village Chapel in Brenham, TX, Sunday, October 9, 2005, at 2:00 P.M.
Graveside services will be held at the Lytle Community Cemetery, in Lytle, TX, Monday, October 10, 2005, at 3:00 P.M.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX.

Paul Krolczyk
November 14, 1930 - February 6, 2013
Paul Krolczyk, 82 of Chappell Hill, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Scott & White Hospital, Brenham.
He was born November 14, 1930 in Washington County to Michael and Agnes (Strenk) Krolczyk. Paul worked as a carpenter. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, four sisters, and three brothers.
Survivors include: sisters, Pauline Thomas, Nancy Kalstad; sister-in-law, Janie Krolczyk; nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited Friday, February 8th at 7 p.m. by Dan Nowak and funeral service will be Saturday, February 9th at 1 p.m. officiated by Monsignor Benedict Zientek both being held at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.

Pastor Virgil Pecht
Pastor Virgil Pecht, 84, of Brenham, passed away November 13, 2015 at Kruse Village in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill, with Pastor Skip Stutts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pastor Pecht served God faithfully for many years in the ministry. He served as pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Comfort, Texas, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Waller, Trinity Lutheran Church of Hempstead, and Faith Lutheran Church in Taft, Texas. Then, he served for over 30 years at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill, as well as First Lutheran Church in Somerville. He also served as visiting pastor at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill after his retirement from the ministry. He was instrumental in building the new congregation at Abiding Word Lutheran Church in Brenham, and S.A.M.S. organization in Somerville. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Lynn and Jan Pecht; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki Lee and Kelly Scott Smith, and daughter, Suzanne R. Pecht; grandchildren: Brittney Smith, Quinton Smith, Gunnar S. Smith, and Kaci Pecht; brother Vernon Pecht; sisters Vernell Turner, and Vonnie Adair and husband Billy; sister-in-law, Faye Pecht. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Clara Pecht, Leroy and Mildred Pecht, C. J. and Velma Pecht, and Sydney Pecht; one brother-in-law, Bill Turner. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Funeral arrangements for Pastor VirgilYork Pecht are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.

Robert "Bob" Gajeske
Robert “Bob” Gajeske, 72, of Willis, TX, passed away, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his daughter’s home. Robert “Bob” Gajeske’s survivors include: daughter, Shanan Gajeske and husband Shain Mann; grandchildren, Hunter Sauer and Sierra Mann; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Shirley Gajeske; nephews, John Gajeske and significant other Tammy Gehovak, Thomas and Windy Gajeske, Charles and Jennifer Gajeske, Allen and Robin Gajeske; great-nieces and great nephews, Hanna and Savanah Gajeske, Amelia Gajeske, Mary Rose Gajeske, Lyann, Tyler and Bynten Gajeske; along with other relatives and friends. Visitation for Robert “Bob” Gajeske will be Sunday, November 15th from 4-7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 16th at 2 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kay Reed officiating. Elsie June Longhofer
Elsie June Longhofer, 87, widow of Edward Longhofer, Sr., passed away November 11, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Edward Jr. and Mary Sue Longhofer, and Eldon John and Cynthia Longhofer, all of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Eledra June and Joseph Gerson of Mansfield; grandchildren: Damian Rasmussen and wife Tiffany, Gina Renee Stack and husband Matthew, Matthew Edward Sommerlatte, Joseph Adam Gerson, Julee Nicole Gerson, Garrett Evan Longhofer, and Anna Elise Longhofer; great-grandchildren: Addison Jane Stack and Taylen Lea Rasmussen. Other surviving relatives include her brothers-in-law, Vernon Longhofer, Floyd Longhofer, Jesse Longhofer and wife Kathleen, and Harold Longhofer and wife Carolyn; sisters-in-law Anna Kieschnick and Kathy Derryberry and husband Bob. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Longhofer was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Longhofer, Sr., daughter, Ellen Jane Longhofer Sommerlatte; daughter-in-law Joyce Longhofer, granddaughter, Janice Elaine Longhofer. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, and brothers, Jim and Hans Fredrickson. Funeral arrangements for Elsie June Longhofer are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main in Brenham.
