SCANNED TEXT:
HONORA VERONICA McCARTHY "Nonie" Sodality (1-2-3-4); C. S. M. C. (1-2-3); Glee Club (1-2-3); Dramatics (1.2-3); Basketball (3); Class Treasurer (4); French Club (4); Library Club (3). I Dancing eyes and nimble feet, five foot three of fun, laughter and rhythm—all spell "Nonie." Her naivete, frankness and charm have carried her through the last four years delighting us all. Ever attuned to the call of comradeship, Nonie's is a character that has been trained along the highest ideals. These combined with her quips and smiles have carved this young colleen a special niche in the memories of old St. Mary's. It seems a little sad that graduation brings partings from such as these. WILLIAM FRANCIS McCRONE "Bill" Sodality (1-2-3-4), Chairman Mission Committee (4); "Sancta Maria" Editor-in-Chief; C. S. M. C. (1-2-3); interclass Basketball (1-2-3-4); Glee Club (2); Class Secretary (2-3); Latin Club (3), Treasurer; Debating Club (3-4). All through his school life, Bill has been one of those characters everyone admires and envies. No praise is too extreme for this young man. Bill is determined, industrious, honest and reliable. His classmates showed their confidence in him by electing him Editor-inChief of the Year Book. Their confidence was more than justified by the manner in which he so capably and energetically took over the task. Statesman, lawyer, physicist or inventor, Bill, you'll go to the top in any profession you choose. MARGARET CATHERINE McDONALD "Mary" Sodality (1-2-3-4); C. S. M. C. (1.2-3); Glee Club (1-2-3); Dramatics (1-2-4); Library Club (2-3); Debating Club (3-4); Class Treasurer (3); Latin Club (3), Secretary; French Club (4); Senior Ball Committee (4), Orchestra. Known to some as "Mary" and to others as "Michael," this girl with the angel face and the mischievous twinkle in her eye has gone through her four years of high school lassoing the affections of all of us. Her eyelashes have been the envy and despair of practically every girl in the high school, more so perhaps than her brilliant scholastic record. When she enters college, we know Margaret's sunny charm will enhance every circle in which she moves. 23
