ROBIN'S SONG OUR TOWN Spring, coming in a blaze of glory, High upon the hilltop, Is heralded by the robin's calls, Where the breezes blow, Each telling to the world his story There's a little candy shop Of far-distant palace hails, Painted white as snow. Where ever bloom the fragrant flowers, Way down in the valley, Where ever shines the sun, Where Nature builds her scented bow'rs, Almost to the sea, Where tinkling brooklets run, Tiny streamlets sally They tell of a place so fair and bright Happy, gay, and free. Where the little fairies stay; Halfway up the hillside, Then of a sudden they take to flight, Houses cluster there, And swiftly fly away. Trees along the wayside Nancy Foote, '39 Apple, peach and pear. And, above the hilltop, Upon a sleeping village, Which we call "Our Town." TAKE ME MARY The wheeling birds in the air give sung Take me, Mary, my darling Mother, And carol a sweet, glad lay; To the throne of thy Son Divine; And in that last, that precious hour They greet the Queen of May. Let my heart and His combine. O God! Make me like the chaste, pure flow'r As I travel along life's way, When I, this life depart, That my soul may sing a hymn of joy Let my soul abide forever in melody clear at early dawn When I greet the Queen of May. In the shrine of my Master's heart. William F. Bellinger, '38 David Fife, '40 Guide me, then, my dearest Mother, 33
